    👉 *UPDATES 3.28.2022:*
    (a) Cash back rewards are now issued as Citi ThankYou points, where 1 point = 1¢ ($0.01). Example: $100 = 10,000 points, and vice versa.
    (b) The minimum redemption amount of $25 has been eliminated. You can now redeem any amount you like, including 1 point for $0.01.

Utilities I can see but how do you do this with Medical? This not pulled through your job? Automotive used through bank lender? Usually see them use their own payment system "powered by such and such" or old school mail but it's 2020. Insurance specify car, life, home etc what type. Been rejected when called on various of these things and curious on how you "did it" since you said "use to" guessing no longer going off of that.

@@lastprophet5969 - i basically use my citi DC card for all my monthly non-category spend. For example:
      kids daycare payments
oil changes, tires, car parts, car washes, etc
      auto insurance payments
      storage unit rental
      cell phone bill
      cable bill
      electric bill
      medical or dental copayments
Pretty much anything that accepts a credit card payment that is not covered by 1 of my other category cards, i put on my citi DC. It usaully equates $1,200 - $1,400 a mth in spend.

Got my 1st card with them back in 2015 and have had a good experience. However, rather than focusing on the bank, I suggest focusing on the card itself. The best approach is to get the cards that earn high rewards in the areas in which you spend the majority of your money 💳

The min. score required for the Citi Double Cash Card isn't published, so we don't know. Also, the bureau varies based on where you live. That said, I recommend having a score of 720+ to have the best chance for this card. @ca6vtec Před 3 lety +2

@@rayr8530 the discover it card is great, but it's essentially a 1% cash back card when you're not taking advantage of the rotating categories. The DC simplifies it for you. 2% on everything. Plus you get some of few benefits left w the Citi card, like cell phone protection if you pay your bill w the DC. Another option if you like using the 5% quarterly would be the freedom flex. You get the same quarterly categories as the discover but you also get 3% on some other categories like restaurants I believe and 5% on groceries for a year.

@@MarkReese I know this is a 3 month old comment but like I said before in previous comments on other videos I had in interest in other cards like the BofA Customized cash rewards. I currently have the Chase Trifecta with the CSP, CFF, CFU and a Discover Card with the 5% rotating categories. I think I'm happy with that but I kinda want to get the possibly cards from other issuers except AMEX since they r not accepted everywhere and I have the Discover since it's my first credit card so I have to keep that, it will be 10 year old account in two days from now. It's hard to debate for me between Capital One and Citi. I've heard C1 isn't too generous with CLI and does a triple pull but that No Foreign Transaction Fee on all their cards interests me. If I was going to get 1 C1 card I would pick the Quicksilver. But in Citi terms I would most likely get the Citi DC and Custom Cash, of course I would have to reapply for the DC as a new applicant. I may still consider getting the DC and CC at some point but I'm not sure if I want to keep track of multiple credit cards and 2 different ecosystems. I'm not interested in the Citi Premier since I'm mostly interested in cash back and not interested in paying a second annual fee. What's your opinion on having the Chase Trifecta with the CSP and having the Double Cash and Custom Cash in the wallet to have Citi compete with Chase? I already have all 3 of the personal Chase UR cards I want so maybe it's time to get cards from other issuers. 😁

I'm cool with just cash back on the Citi Cards. Maybe it's best if I just stick with my chase trifecta and discover IT card than be thankful for what I have than keeping up with more credit cards and a different ecosystem, especially since CIti has removed some benefits from their cards 🤔
