【ボブマーリー和訳】エクソダス Exodus

【この曲について】
圧倒的なスケール感を持つこのアルバムタイトル曲は「解放の歌」です。
自分を抑圧し、辛い状況に閉じ込めている社会的、心理的なモノや人から心と身体を解き放ち、自由になるんだと歌っています。
預言者モーセがユダヤの民をエジプトでの苦難から救い出し、約束の地へと導いた旧約聖書の「出エジプト記」がモチーフとなっています。
自由になるには勇気と決意が必要です。最初の一歩を踏み出せなければ永久に囚われの身のままです。
さあ、行こう、何度もそう繰り返してボブは虐げられ臆病になってしまった我々を励まし、決意と共に闇から脱出するよう促しています。
耐えがたい苦しみの中にいてそこから逃れたいともがいている人は今も世界中にたくさんいます。生き方を変えたいと心から願うすべての人を力づける永遠の応援歌です。
【和訳について】
歌詞だけでなく翻訳全般に関して言えることですが、「唯一の正しい答え」というものは存在しません。
「訳す人間の数だけ答えがある」というのが翻訳本来の姿だと思います。
そして、時間の経過と共に内容理解が深まったり、意味の取り違えに気づいたりもするものだと考えています。
この和訳も現時点での訳者＜ないんまいる＞がこれでいいんじゃないかな？と思うバージョンです。あとで修正したくなるかもしれません。
そう感じたら、手直しして訳詞に反映した修正版動画をアップロードしていくつもりです。
こころより愛してやまないボブのために、そして彼が残した曲をもっと深く正確に知りたいと願うみなさんのために、少しでもクオリティが高い和訳を提供できればと考えています。
