Volvo's and high mileage are synonymous. I'm lucky with mine only having 98 000 kms, so far. Hope it has many years ahead.

Mein 855 hatte ein Yazaki KI, da hatte ich das Problem nicht, mein 745 hat auch kein VDO-KI. Bis später bei MT, gaston73... ;-)

Nunja, das ABS-Problem hat ja weniger was mit dem KI als mit dem ABS-Steuergerät selber zu tun. Aus dem Forum weißt du ja, dass das gerne bei denen ab MJ96 auftritt, zu denen auch der 850R zählt. :)

Last thing I would be doing is 220/240 kph in a car with a ABS and Traction control warning ligh on. That crate has a ABS RING FAULT.
YOU CAN SWITCH OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL ON T5/T5R BUT IT NEVER ILLUMINATES THE ABS LIGHT... I KNOW THESE THINGS...

you should get your ABS module resoldered.

STG44VOLVO it's probably just the gear at the transmission that runs the odo. If it were the abs then the speedometer wouldn't work either.

Brake Ecu, and/or the ABS rings. Usually the front ones.

​@@StackBundle no, the speedo will work, ask me where I know from. Usually the system throws an error code for right rear wheel sensor, indicating a module failure as @STG44VOLVO suggested.

@@PaulB__ dude I had it happen in one of my 850's. The speedometer generally doesn't work because it's connected to the same soldering point on the abs module that the odo is. If it worked for you then you got lucky.

Bekannte Krankheit beim 850er.. immer das Selbe zahnrädchen welches bricht.. meiner ist bei 330'000km auch stehengeblieben, hat jetzt knappe 360k. Zum reparieren müsste man eben das ganze kombiinstrument auseinandernehmen.

Mal angenommen ein Fahrzeug hat einen 70 Liter Tank, so würde ein voller Tank ca. 70 Kilogramm wiegen. Wenn jedoch die Nadel schon auf Reserve ist, sind da noch 10-20 Liter drin, sprich.. ein Paar Kilo leichter.. Und die Jungs denken wahrscheinlich , es bringt etwas um das Fahrzeug etwas schneller aussehen zu lassen. Nur meine Vermutung ;)
