The 850 is basically the last wilsgaard volvo so the end of an era..Peter horbury facelifted this model and gave us the S70 thus replacing the lines with curves.

You got a GREAT. VOLVO . Dey go for long miles and miles . I.have a 1997. Volvo 850. T5 turbo only 134, miles on it stil like NEW and very fast acceleration 60 miles in 6.8 seconds godd luck again from VOLVO CARS SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA ...that is the benefit of the TURBO .

The only good street mods from this NA 850 is catback, cat delete or straight pipe, plus cold air intake to add a bit some power from that and upgrade suspension like anti sway bar and coilovers and strut bars and from transmission maybe stage 1 lightweight clutch and big brakes kit, that one will be good on circuit race..
yeah but why destroy perfection?

The 850x never had the 2.4 modification from the factory; they only came with 2.3 and 2.5.
2.4 and 2.4 petrol, 2.5 diesel
