I used to lucid dream a lot when I was a child. It was euphoric, I remember a lot. I think I should lead and try to capture this again.

IF anyone hasnt read Carlos Castaneda I highly recommend all of his books especially the ones with don juan in them, these books taught me universal truths that I have never seen or heard of anywhere else.

I remember a technique of breathing, where you inhale, and in your mind "I'm not this body," exhale "I'm not this mind." I decided to use it for sleep, mind you I was completely sober this night, and many of the days I focused on the breathing. I don't remember falling asleep, but it was almost a seemless transition, from my waking state to my sleeping state. I awoke aware of my physical body, but unable to move, and I was still doing the technique, but every breath was so long and and euphoric. It was indescribable. Then, I once again, seemlessly transitioned to a dream.. like a blue hazy tunnel, wavy, and full of energy. It was black, and then this orange dodecahedron appeared and spun.. one of 5 platonic solids. It represents emotion, water. Remember the blue wavy room? Has 20 sides, all are triangles. I woke the next morning bewildered, and intuition drove me to walk outside, on the driveway, sat a blue dodecahedron, in front of my feet. I found a second one a month later.

Matteo Gonano yeah, you do have a point. Throughout the book I kinda got that vibe. It sucks how he doesn't want to do much to with the new tool album. the message I got from his book is to, "move forward".
I did this once before. What you do is set your alarm so you wake up during deep rem sleep. Wake up shut off your alarm and lay there with the intent of having a lucid dream. You do it on purpose. I laid there and next thing I know I was dreaming I was at work, I turned around and there was this Mr freeze/Frankenstein dude coming after me. Scared me shitless cuz it was so real but then I remembered it was my dream and I could just fly up onto a balcony that I basically imagined(created). It was like Minecraft creative mode. lol. Before minecraft even came out. Then I crawled through the drain. Only time I actually tried it and i had a blast. I'd like to do it again but I'm afraid of this sleep paralysis people warn about. I'd like to get into it again sometime maybe with other people as I've heard there are theories that people can actually meet up in lucid dreams and share the experience. How awesome would that be? Like connecting with other people on a level like that. It is weird though how maynard just basically nailed it with the ride the spider thing.. there are monsters there and they can scare u at first but their in YOUR dream. Sort of gives you a new kind of power that you can't have being "awake".
He needs to do a guided meditation or Reiki video. Ugh that voice!

Lucid dream before I've been to the point where I know I'm dreaming but it gets way to creepy to the point where I hear screaming and shadow people looking at me and walking towards me, and it ends up becoming a night terror.
Same here, although there have been more recent dreams where I am lucid and manifesting how the rest of the dream plays out. I also have plenty of night terrors that feel similar, but as I understand it, night terrors occur more commonly when we are waking up but our body is still paralyzed from the chemicals released from our brain during sleep that keeps us from getting up and acting out our dreams. I would usually "wake" myself up by trying to scream for help because I can't move but all I can manage is a very load-ish, weird and creepy moaning--as per people who were around when this is happening to me. But essentially you are halfway between the waking world and the dreaming one, so to speak.

I've lucid dreamt before, but I've never been able to do it consistently or on command. I guess I should lay off the weed, as doing so increases both dream state consistency and intensity. But I do love my hazy blanket, it's a difficult one to give up merely for the sake of dreaming.
Takes practice just like anything else. Be careful tho once you learn its harder to unlearn and losing sleep is no joke

How do you have so much control over your unconsciousness? I can remember dreams and wake myself up, but I can never manipulate the people or objects in them, even if I know I'm dreaming.
Jordan Seward check out Carlos Castaneda's books, like Maynard mentioned. He teaches you how to control your dreams. I always thought that Maynard that had to read his books. This interview finally confirms it, I'm blown away.

Apparently when u gain a certain control of your waking hours, a type of self-awareness, this awareness/control is carried over into dreaming. As he states, when u realize u are dreaming u must take only short glances at things, this will sustain dreaming awareness.
I often have very lucid dreams, which can be an amazing experience. Unfortunately, most of the time its not, and its also accompanied by sleep paralysis. This makes for a absolutely terrifying experience. Its something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, I've had bad trips on LSD that were more pleasant... Be careful attempting lucid dreaming.
You practice intense visualisation techniques and transcendental meditation and keep a dream journal...seriously...the dream journal reprograms your subconsciousness to evaluate the dreams

I lost my lucid dreaming and even most Recall help ? I'll take supplements or whatever it takes to get my LD back.
I found out quitting marijuana has helped me regain my lucid dreaming capabilities though most have been lucid nightmares having various false awakenings in a row remembering the dream I woke from as I awoke. I think my new found use of DMAE has helped me regain my REM sleep. I know I am experiencing REM REBOUND from quitting MJ
I was prescribed blood pressure medication and it definitely caused me to have lucid dreams.
