Dyno Tuning my Camaro SS with the GPI SS3 cam- New Power Numbers!!

- After driving my Camaro around untuned for a couple weeks, I finally got my Camaro tuned at Cordes Performance Racing in Tempe, Arizona. It made 466/433 which is solid for a cam and bolt on only car. I included both Dyno sheets so be sure to check out the difference in power! If you're in the market, I recommend camming your car! I am excited to make reaction videos in the future.

I just came across your channel this morning. 1st off, sick to see fellow small channels making sick content, 2nd, I binged nearly every video and seeing how sick this camaro looks and hearing that cammed LS sound, it had me open up autotrader ngl😂and that's coming from a mustang owner lol. Anyways, sick to just watch the progress of a build, reminds me of when michael goodwin was building his m4 a few years ago.

Sounds wonderful. Currently i have a bolt on 14 CTSV. Prior to that, i had an 04 GTO with a cam. While i loved the sounds it made, i constantly fought with drivability issues. After a few tuner trips, it was significantly better but still occasionally ran into issues. Even though i had a "reputable" tuner, i felt that they just couldnt get it tuned correctly. The cam wasnt even that big. I do miss that sound though. The V is loud and amazing (headers/corsa sport) but has no chop chop. Maybe one day ill go the cam route again.

I’ve got the same cam in my 05 gto fast 92/92, 220 Trickflow heads and gpi ss3 cam on e-85 my car made 461 everything you can do to a top end 6.0. I’m happy with the cam I think gpi needs more recognition!

It's definitely a low reading dyno, most dynos would probably be right around 480-490 with this setup.
@@C6Z_Bob Dynojet dynos always read high. I bet if you put that car on are local Mustang Dyno it would make 420whp. I personally hate dyno numbers to estimate hp. Just give me a trap speed.
Mustang reads low but can be adjusted. I’ve seen other dynos read high. I had a dyno dynamics say my fbo ls3 was 464. Dynojets read pretty good and usually match what the factory says.
@@C6Z_Bob yep the auto SS1 VVT seem to hit around 450whp, the manuals do alot better since parasitic loss is less. Im installing a SS2 on my 11 and should be in 450-470whp once tuned by GPI.

I went with a GPI SS2 on my LS3. I only made 446rwhp and 428lb ft of torque
Andrew Cammer at GPI said the SS2 is much easier on the engine as opposed to the SS3 while still being incredibly similar overall. Slight advantage goes to the SS2 in twisties, circuit tracks, autocross events and lower end overall. Slight advantage to the SS3 for top end and straight line. For example, for drag racing or highway pulls the SS3 and SS4 are the ones to have. He said these are all big cams and there's no wrong choice. I just didn't want want to replace valve springs as often or stress out the other areas with the higher lift/duration if you catch my drift.
I parked next to my bud's LS3 Vette with GPI tuned SS4 NFC and surprisingly they both chop extremely similarly. Isn't it crazy that these GPI cams are such monsters? A hellcat owner driving by stopped by and asked how the hell our cars sound that damn good even from across the street.
Btw, I would recommend not losing wheels while driving. It scrapes up all kinds of components and adds unneeded stress to the subframe. The last couple sentences were just me being cheeky. Hah. Anyway, take care driver.
