    I will admit that Corny speaks of wrestling in the era of the 70's and 80's from a very subjective POV and a lot of that subjective view I agree with. Hard to argue Corny's point that FAR fewer people see wrestling on a regular must less a weekly basis today than they did back in the old territory era. In the south, any town with a TV station it seemed carried wrestling in some form on the local TV at some point over a weekend. And a live show at some point during a month if not weekly was within driving reach just about anywhere in the south. By the time Corny got to the Crockett Territory with the Midnight Express, one would be hard pressed to find a better manager in the craft. I live watching his old promos with Stan Lane who more than once you could tell wants to just loose it. Corny once said that he would show newbies video of Ole Anderson on how to shoot promos and draw money. Well Corny my friend, your videos would be "must see" in my book on how to shoot promos and draw money.

    I think it can be easily explained why House Shows were bigger back then. With Monthly PPVs plus a bigger focus on Weekly television it's almost as if why bother going to a House show since house shows now are basically treated as second rate events rather then the main event. Only way you can increase the house show market is basically get rid of PPV and go back to making weekly TV not the main selling point and I can't see WWe stopping that since those are their main money generators.I should probably add that Impact might want to look at putting less emphasis on weekly TV being it's "A" product and try use the show to try create stars people will pay to see at house shows.

    • @xtrisaratops
      @xtrisaratops Před 6 lety +1

      I think TNA/Impact/GFW/whatever the hell would do much better if they focused on house shows or live events. Let's face it, their TV has been like watching a slow-motion trainwreck for years, and the only way I can see for them to truly push the reset button is to get off TV, and focus on building up the live events. Either that or, as I believe I've heard Jim mention before, trying their luck in the UK. From my limited understanding, live wrestling is still a big fucking deal over there, and TNA/Impact/whatever isn't overexposed in that market.

    Why did Monroe LA suck in late November of 1984?
    One Name: Phil Robertson
    AKA The Duck Commander, from the hit show Duck Dynasty.
    On November 26th, 1984, you fellas were in the Duck Hunting capital of the world, AND home of the king of duck hunting, during the opening week of duck season.
    You might as well have been in Salt Lake City on Easter Sunday, or Augusta during the finals of the Masters. LOL!!!
    That's one upside to the assimilation of the human race into the interweb, those locale specific event conflicts are a little easier to identify and avoid what with every event from Times Square Ball Drop on News Years to Sonya Hennings Tutu's 50th Anniversary masquerade, karaoke sing-off, and Drag Queen show having its very own website with daily reminders and all.

You have the burden of proof, as you have made the claim, and no such claim about a ‘god’ or religion can ever beat the question of ‘prove it!’ There may be a ‘god,’ but there isn’t any legit evidence to back it up - or of storybooks and anecdotes are not legit evidence!
