Yeah, it shows that the young soldier didn’t look up to his commander’s character, he looked up to his rank and his position. And the commander was one of the German soldiers who actually had character and honor
Thats what propaganda did to these kids.
That's actually common behavior during wars. Abandonning your post is considered treason, a man caught sleeping during his watch patrol is usually executed.

The German army was super indoctrinated into that shit that they enforced the killing of their own men for being done with fighting
Plus they just saw one of there old friends (though he was very scared and was most likely forced to push on) get hanged for desertion, saw the Rhine bridge blow up, realizing they weren’t gonna be allowed to leave “somewhat” in one piece, and then this. This just sucked man.

There's a single soldier who I respect and have a insanely high opinion of. The soldier NEVER killed a single person in WW2 whether friend or foe, risked spending the war in prison before he even got out of boot camp, foregoes a plea deal and goes full on court martial and wins, caused his entire platoon to not commence an attack at the appointed time out of respect for him, saved the lives of between 75 men and 300 men and stood alone on a ridge under heavy naval bombardment from his own team ( us the US NAVY BTW) WHILE SAVING THE LIVES OF HIS NEN AND THE JAPANESE TOO. IF THE KEYWORD RIDGE DIDN'T GIVE IT AWAY MAY I PRESENT TO YOU THE LATE GREAT MOH RECIPIENT AND THE HEROIC PACIFISTIC BADASS SOLDIER WITHOUT A WEAPON HIMSELF THE ONE THE ONLY THE LEGENDARY DESMOND T DOSS THE CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR WHO HOLLYWOOD HAD TO WATER DOWN AND CHANGE CERTAIN DETAILS TO MAKE IT BELIEVABLE WHAT HE DID WAS SO FREAKING EPIC.
@@Knightstandsandmoor Desmond doss, the soldier who fought without a gun
@@KnightstandsandmoorCan you please clarify why he was considered a hero? Although I may not always agree with the actions of the United States, it is undeniable that they played a pivotal role in World War II. Their involvement was instrumental in saving countless lives by defeating the German and Japanese forces. It is estimated that the war would have been prolonged by at least two years without their intervention. The potential consequences of the Germans or Soviets acquiring the atomic bomb during this extended period are deeply concerning. In fact, Joseph Stalin acknowledged that the Soviet Union could have advanced further if not for the knowledge that the United States possessed a weapon of mass destruction.

And there's brainwashed children
And there is Russia
shouldnt have been apathetic towards their civic duty. the "shove my head in the sand and let God/someone else take care of it" mentality is responsible for all modern war. you can see it in the disenfranchised citizens of eastern europe who forswore their responsibility for their local communities long before 2014. you can see it in the average US citizen who does not care about how they cosign their nation rubblizing yemeni villages in the name of injustice. one day it will be on your doorstep. hopefully you arent caught with your head down in some supermarket food line like most will be
I'm pretty sure everyone in the last tiger main crew joined willingly. However, by the end of the war they had grown tired and disillusioned, only fighting for survival at that point and for what little belief they still had in their side.
@Druid of Scosglen Did 4 years in the navy at the height of the iraq war and the propaganda they are feeding you all is bullshit we are not better then russia or china the shit you see with people being divided by social media was the tactics we were using in iraq and afghanistan those tactics were brought home and they keep us in perpetual war to continue to have access to the special powers that the global war on terrorism gave them 20+ years and going strong but yes believe that russia is our enemy as our country crumbles before our eyes as politicians on both sides enrich themselves off the sweat of your backs. that got alot of men killed when they went to try and save him and then we bought him back for ransom
The Last Tiger is one of the best stories told in video games in my opinion. From the begginning, hope and vigor filling the young soldiers hearts, but Kertz and our commander know too well that the writing is on the wall. Kertz highlights the moral defeatist. He understands the war is over, and doesnt understand how his nation and people are still fighting. He just wants it to end, and to go home. Our commander shares that sentiment, but still believes in his nation and military, and believes if he still performs valiantly the tide can be turned. Its all dashed when his own soldier, who idolizes him as a hero, kills his best friend doing what he thought was right. In that moment the illusion is shattered. The war is over, and it only causes uneccessary death now. And the young soldier turning his gun on him, and you hear one final shot not knowing whether our commander was killed or the young soldier. Brilliant.

When i played this for the first time I accidentally set it to german without subtitles. Although I couldn’t understand their words I understood perfectly what was happening in every scene. Truly powerful writing
Lmao that's funny tho 😂
The germans voice actors did a pretty good job❤
I can actually see that really working in FAVOR of the scene. You don't need to know what's being said, the scene alone tells you everything. Great stuff.
That’s not something one does by “accident”
@@q6906exactly what I was thinking. Some people are just pathological.
Voice acting- 💯. I'm tearing up and I've never even played or know the specifics of this scene
Seeing Dimitri Petrenkov die in cod bo1 campaing after playing the world at war campaing was even more devestating
Man that scream was so real we can feel his pain crawling in our bone.well done voice actors🥺
Yooooo what is good
Agree got to admit the voice actor was perfect 👌
Exactly, wasn't loud or anything, you could just hear the will to live leaving his voice and the way he felt helpless and defeated
BF1 and BF V had such great voice actings? Dice must have recruited some guys from Hollywood.
The ages of the characters remind me of what WW2 German veterans said saying “we didn’t buy into the propaganda, but we weren’t the target of it, it was kids. And soon we found those gun-ho kids in our squads believing every word of it. Yet we still felt responsible and did horrible things to make sure they didn’t have to and regret it later.”
The middle aged men didn’t believe in the war, but the young boy still was blind by propaganda to understand
Good observation. It's why typical American youth are so anti China and Russia, despite never having considered that their own govt has lied to them in the past to get them into war after war over the generations.
Just like today
Stop lying, the austrian painter was a glorious leader and people followed him with their hearts

This game made me walk a mile in the shoes of my enemies. And that mile felt too long.
One thing many war games/movies seem to never quite show or understand. They may have been the enemy. But they themselves had their hopes, their mates, their need to defend their home. It's really stupid to see all German soldiers being shown as evil racist baby murderers.
Same in any war the people you are killing are just the same as you. They had lives worth living then a politician started flapping their gums pointed to a country and said go get em boys. Notice they never send their kids to die its always working class kids. Sooner or later people will realise no government as ever given a fuck about them they pretend just enough to stop them being kicked off the hill.

Bruh pay that voice actor double, I never even seen the game before but the way he screamed that dude's name made me nearly cry bruh...
Facts, you feel the loss of brother. You feel the pain of knowing you’re torn between war and family. 💯, bruh he said it with such passion if I was there I’d finish fighting the “enemy” I’da beat dude who shot him tf up. Traitor or not, you never shoot a man in the back 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I don't know why maaaaaany people believe voice actors don't get paid alot, GUYS! they pay reaaaaaaaaaaaal good...
@@mr.x991 he shot him because those were orders, shoot anyone who deserts, something similar to what the commander had told him earlier on, that traitors make the army weak. Because of that the Commander couldn't blame him due to the amount of brainwashing and also it was the end of the line anyway, Berlin had practically fallen and there was no point to continue to fight, he was also most likely in shock due to losing a long time friend so with all of that to consider he probably just gave up and couldn't function
@@mr.x991 you must not have played the game cause these same guys killed a bunch of deserters
"In the grim theatre of war, young men become unwilling actors, thrust into the brutal choreography of battle, fighting not for their dreams, but as pawns in a tragic play scripted by old men who remain untouched by the scars of the front lines."
That might be going to happen again soon woth ww3 starting
It's happening all the time everywhere. Without naive young soldiers a lot of wars would end instantly. But they are so easy to manipulate.

that one u.s soldier: "JuSt gIvE uP, DAMN IT!"
And its the same voice copy and pasted all over the Last Tiger story 😂
ScreamingAirsoft the American soldier was saying that to Schroder, the German soldier in the tank, not the two on the ground
Example of americans ruining emotional moments
The last tiger was truly a masterpiece of a campaign, you could just understand what the characters were going through, they felt it was all needless and it was over. Then when his friend died he just was ready for the war to be over wether it was capture, or the loyalist kid who can't think for himself shooting him in the back
What game is this from? I have skipped most of the battlefield campaigns and usually just play multiplayer but man this video makes me wanna go play this campaign. This are really good cutscenes/ storylines that really show the brutality of war on mostly innocent men who have nothing to do with said war, the young get brainwashed like this kid who shoots this soldier in the back, & the older men, know what’s really going on bc they have their time acquired wisdom, they were traitors, they were tired of war. War is senseless & it destroys the soul, the mind, it causes instantly for most after so long. Especially in these conditions.
Watch the movie “all quite on the western front“ which does a good job depicting the brutality of trench warfare & ww1 which still happens today (like in Ukraine)
a movie like this about ww2 would be even more graphic, disturbing, & heartbreaking.
@@Cowboys777This is 'The Last Tiger' from Battlefield V. The only story in the game I actually remembered.
*Hartmann:* The innocent who lost everything in the war.
*Kertz:* The experienced who knew how futile war is, but had no choice but to be a part of it.
*Schroeder:* The idealist warm blooded youth, loyal to a fault, with no sense of right from wrong.
*Peter:* The one who wants to keep everything together, realising he failed long ago when it's too late.
CoD WW2 and WaW: Both, both is good
Almost every battlefield player has a experience on it, It is really sad, when I lost my best friend in battlefield I was almost cried, he was a pilot, risked his life for our lives, and he died, I never forget it, we were 5 guys, he was one of us, we 4 guys just depressed in a game, we didn't know what to do, so, this feeling, only boys understand😢
