McStay and Wilkens stand out for me in either midfield. Both very classy players. Nice to hear Sir Alex putting his tuppence worth in as well.
Agreed.great channel.i was at this game.was 18 years old at the time.went back to bobby Lennox's bar in Saltcoats for post match celebrations,but all hell broke loose as a couple of Rangers fans came in to stir it up..cue mayhem.i can still remember Bobby Lennox's face when he walked in and saw the broken glass etc..not amused to say the least....still,great year that.best ever in my time.this result virtually secured the championship.
Got say am really enjoying this game just sad to see some of the players are not with us

Have been watching football since I was a kid and that is the first time I have seen an old firm game. Have been to all the big grounds in England. Seen Derbies my team Leeds used to make a lot of noise I thought until I watched this the noise level was mind blowing. Got to see an old firm game live before I die now. At 55 I have just realised what all the hype is about. I might need ear plugs but I think its a must . Those that were there or have been at other old firm games did your ears ring afterwards.

The standard of football then was horrific. I watched the whole game and there was literally one occasion where 5 or more passes in a row were completed. Hoof it and run constantly

Bonner, McStay, Burns and Aitken were phenomenal; the rest were only superb. Great match, the only down side was Ray Wilkins - one of the dirtiest players I've ever seen, only very slightly less of a nutter than Vinnie Jones.
