Bro football goals are 8 feet tall and 24 feet wide, if a shot is well placed it doesn't matter if the goalkeeper sees it coming, he can't cover the entire goal. If you have a local football pitch go there with a friend and try to save some shots, you'll never realise how huge that goal is until you stand in it, trying to save shots against elite players is one of the hardest jobs in football, I'd recommend you to react to "legendary goalkeeper saves in football" these guys are freaks of nature.

I think it's not just the goals that he scores and the sheer amount of them, but also that he does everything else. Like you're never gonna see someone with that much when it comes to literally every stat out there (assists, goals, chances created, through balls, key passes, playmaking, etc.). Also criticising players, while yes they do make mistakes in defense but some players and coaches have said that Messi makes it look easy but it's extremely difficult to guard him. Also the reason why goalies can't get to the ball often is because balls curve in a weird way where it's difficult to catch and predict where it's gonna go. Also, goals are really wide, like much wider than they look on screen. Most goalkeepers are the height of 6'6'' and even taller and they jump and completely stretch out to try and catch the ball and they still can't do it. That just shows how wide those goalposts are from each other.

Do you want to know if goalkeepers are paid well? I can only tell you that every single person you see in this video earns at least a few million a year, the best ones a few tens of millions and those like Messi... They are shamefully rich. For goalkeepers it's more or less the same.The goal is actually huge to be defended by just one goalkeeper... Yet many matches end 0-0 even like this. Putting in a second one would kill the game.
