- The Hakata Express, King of Night Bus (キングオブ深夜バス はかた号) is one of the longest night bus trips in Japan.
As I had ridden the old model bus last time, I took the new model this time.
I traveled from Hakata to Tokyo on the most expensive private room “Premium Seat”.
It's a 1,100km (684 miles) trip that takes about 15 hours.
The seat was so comfortable with wireless smartphone charger, individual curtains, automatic reclining and massage functions, free Wi-Fi and USB ports.
The bus has only 4 premium seats, so I recommend you book as soon as you plan your trip.
"I had a dream of my a🍑s coming off" ... The bus trip was so long and harsh that a guy made this famous quote on a super-popular Japanese TV show, and Hakata Express became famous as “King of Night Bus”.

If I were you I would be staring out the window whole night just to enjoy the night view. Won't want to waste an expensive trip.
I would love it if you could make a full 2 to 10 hour video of the view from the window on one of these bus rides. No interruptions and minimal cuts, just the camera filming the view from the window, it would be so relaxing to put in the background especially with sounds.

I really like how unique your travel video ideas are! Most tourism videos in japan are just running around in Tokyo, like theres nothing in Japan to do besides roaming in Tokyo day in - day out.
My suggestion would be to explore some suburban areas outside cities, and some less popular villages or small towns, if possible.
There are lots of videos which explore the more popular regional areas.

Lol when I think of the horror shows of buses I’ve experienced with Greyhound, Bolt (RIP) or Megabus in the US this is luxury!! When you said only 2 restroom breaks for 15 hours I was like 😱 but you reassured me there was a bathroom. Obviously the bus drivers need breaks too. 😊

I've been walking like inside and nearby at 9:46 like 3 years ago! I hope I can travel to Japan again and try the bus! My family and I just took the train and took our time to find our hotel. We did lots of walking there and the scenery was breathtaking so I barely felt tired when walking. So many sights to see and shops as well and the hospitable and caring japanese citizens!

i love how clean everything is on this bus. here in Canada we dont get nice busses or train rides like this and the price you pay for a luxury bus ride would cost probably about the same here in My area but it would be a lot more dirty by comparison.
I would like to try an overnight bus some time, I’ve taken a regular bus from Mt. Fuji station to Shinjuku bus terminal so the scenery was familiar in the end! And I didn’t know the restaurant from Your Name was an actual place! Time to visit haha
