Japan's Largest Double Decker Bus 😆 First Class Front Seat On The 2nd Floor 高速バス グラン昼特急 高級バス 前面展望

  • I traveled from Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station (東京駅から京都駅) by Japan’s biggest double decker highway bus (2階建て高速バス). The route name of the luxury bus (高級バス) is Gran Hiru Tokkyu 3 (グラン昼特急3号) operated by JR Bus Kanto (JRバス関東). The name of the express bus is Scania Astromega (スカニア製アストロメガ). I booked a front row seat on the 2nd floor with a great view of Japan (最前列席 前面展望). The three-row independent seats (3列独立シート) on this bus are called the Cradle Seats (クレイドルシート) and promise a comfortable bus trip like first class (ファーストクラス). If you plan a similar trip in the future, I recommend booking your ticket on the Expressway Bus Net (高速バスネット). English is also available.

I thought that too! Elsewhere people would be irate, instead of being grateful for the maintenence allowing the road to be there and passable. Its a matter of perspective, but what a difference it brings 😊

In my country (Eastern Europe, border with Ukraine) there is always maintenance yet the highways are so bad at night cars hitting pot holes in the road damage their cars or run off the road and crash.
I damaged my car once because I was on the highway behind a truck and when it hit a hole a piece of it came off and smashed my window shield. Almost killed me. I was on the news.
So yes, I’m not going to thank maintenance, or my country’s government and I’ m not happy about the traffic jams either. In Japan roads are smooth, here, maintenance is a joke.

@@michaelb2047 So he can see if there is someone who wants to leave? He can't exactly use a mirror to see if there's someone in the back who wants to get out, like in normal buses, since they're on the 2nd floor. What he was saying is that, as far as privacy can go in a public space, Japan is very considerate to someone's personal space, more than other countries. I have sat with people who stank of cigarettes on a bus to school and let me tell you, it wasn't pleasant. I'd rather be sitting alone than have a person smelling bad next to me. Take a shower, for fuck sake or at least put on some perfume. The only bad thing that I can point is that in japanese buses is less likely you'll chat with other people on the bus, since everyone seems to be so in their corner in buses like this one and doesn't want to be bothered. Talking to strangers or the driver on the bus was one of the funniest parts of the trip for me.

Amazing video and I really enjoyed every part of it, your videos are always very useful and informative too!!!🤩 Maybe it's just me, but 8.8Mbps is supersonic speed compared to what I get at home, being in Mbs can be an achievement!!! I think I would be right at home with that bus WiFi 😂😂😂

Sometimes just a bus tour also looks great to me, the focus point changed to the fabulous views outside the window. I remembered I was amazed when the eight years old me found that the back of the bus in the airport actually has a toilet, haha!
