It's funny that down here in Texas where it rarely gets super cold, we don't know how to drive on ice either. Of course, we are ill-equipped to deal with snow/ice removal and such, but we catch a lot of flack about not being able to drive/walk on ice. I've been in the far northern parts of Russia and Finland and can tell you, I've yet to meet anyone who can drive/walk on ice. Just not humanly possible. I do love your videos. Especially the last one when you handled the homeowner who came out cussing at you. You did the right thing. You called him out on it and didn't tolerate it. To his credit, he backed down and apologized (which is exactly what he should have done). Anyway, hats off to your guys. You work hard and do your job with excellence and skill. Inspiring.
Sweet Jesus, I remember when I heard your name come out of Ryan's mouth from Victory and I immediately checked out your channel and subscribed and you had 10K subs and holy shit a blink of an eye later and you're at 50K congrats brother 👏 🙌 🙏here's to another 50K!
Dang Rick, you need a salt scooper! I know you have a glove on but even that sometimes dries your hands out or spreads salt if you touch anything in the truck. A scooper makes easy work for sidewalks.
Always enjoy the videos and catching up to see what you guys are doing. I always hate when we have ice here in Jersey, we don’t get crazy snowstorms that much anymore but the ice always scares me. Be safe brother and see you on the next video 👍
That’s funny, usually someone would be saying “who’s stealing our salt”, instead you’re getting the “who’s giving us salt?” It begs the question though…. how is it possible the place he was SUPPOSED to do, hadn’t complained? If you were paying for salting and you’d had at least 2 ice storms…. most people are pretty damn vocal about that. Guess it’s a good thing there were no names named. 😆😜👍🏼☮️
this is why you rent a 15 passenger van or get a bus whatever you have to do and take every employee who will be operating your trucks for all your contracts have the site address and have detailed of what needs to be done on each site prior to winter season. If you bring on new hires during the season you then bring the new hires to all the sites as needed. I would get info from the other guys company and figure out how many times he did your site and figure out about how much material was used based on the settings and offer 65% of however many tons of salt used the competitor will have to eat 35% of the salt cost plus fuel and labor. If only a onetime mistake then yes I might have the competitor eat 100% or I might do a one time salting of the property they were supposed to go to if similar sized.
idk when this was film but the other day here in Virginia it was over 70 degrees LOL man I'm glad that guy was cool about it poor guy was doing the wrong spot for so long LOL
Rick, how does billing work. Do you just invoice your client anytime you head out and salt, or do they have to request the service first? I'm just interested to know. Great video, as always.
Enjoy your videos Rick how does zero tolerance work with a complex that big seems like you would need a army of people at entrance ways and sidewalks & stairs when Temps changes multiple times.
Awesome! Thanks! On bad storms, I've had up to 30 subs helping out. Our last property was over 80 acres and 200,000sf of sidewalks. Luckily, we have a great group of guys ready to work and make money

Awesome video brother! 👊
Thank you! 😁🤘
It sucks when it rains first thing it washes off the salt and then then ice comes its crazy how much salt is used during a ice storm 😊
*YOU SHOULD HAVE LET HIM KEEP DOING THE WORK FOR YOU AND JUST COLLECT THE CASH!!!!!*
🤣 He salted it for probably 10 storms 😂🤘

1 week ago. He was a cool dude. I'm glad I caught him so he didn't keep wasting product. Gonna be in the 50's this week 🤘

The company that I sub for has an app that I downloaded to my phone. Before each service, I request a work order.
Concrete snow removal ice removal you guys can do it all Thank you my brother

JT might need like a pg 13 rating on his videos just in case 😂😂. I would love to hear some of the jokes that he comes up with. Thanks again. 👍
😂 I keep telling him to go for it

I definitely would have pulled out and let him keep salting it for free 🤣🤣🤣
😁🤘
0 tolerance sure are good money makers. I would love to see a tj channel.
Quick question, any word on rtc sweatshirts and hats?
Yes, sir! It will happen soon.
We're working on it, I'll let everyone know as soon as we're ready. Thanks 🤘
no wonder vehicles from your part of the country are in such bad shape so soon, salt everywhere!
If you want something to stay nice, you have to keep it inside all winter
We had that happen we got contacted to do snow removal and they didn’t tell the other company and they showed up
🤦♂️😁🤘
wheres ur salt truck man! u do it with a seed spreader! i feel bad for your guys
Dude, you should of let him take care of it all season and then tell him 😂
😂 he did it for a few weeks, 🤣
@@RickThomasConcrete keep up the good work my friend, you got man sun 🤜🤛
Slick Rick

Salt is good down to 28 degrees Fahrenheit
Salt stops working at -10F although at zero it works very slowly.
Below 28 we use calcium salt mix. Wind gusts can drop way below what ground temperatures are.
Salt doesn’t heat up the ground 😂😂😂
Do you mix a little sand in with that salt
No, sir
U should have let them keep going man free salt
He salted it probably 20 times already 🤦♂️
Just hit the Subscribe button!
Thanks! 🤘
Not to confuse ya, you can call me JR
🤦♂️😂
@@RickThomasConcrete I'm here to help

I can’t stand it when they throw down so much salt. Destroys our vehicles.
