I'm in Canada and in a different industry but its like you have to increase prices with how our economy is and probably 85-95% of the country is hurting so its hard to increase charges on my service calls/deliveries/parts because I want to be fair and not overcharge but ill offer customers used parts/universal parts to save money instead of new parts.
I work in manufacturing. So, back in March I took on a second job to make up for the overtime we no longer have. And in June/July, I was working 3 jobs. The economy definitely needs improvement.
I don't know maybe you can tell me but I'm up here in the Pacific Northwest getting construction bids to lay a simple OSB 2 * 4 subfloor over a concrete garage floor 24x12 and an interior wall with the doorway 10x12 three sheets of drywall and hanging a wall mount toilet zero Plumbing couple hours of work for the toilet and a couple hours to build a custom block and tackle pulley hoist system hanging from the rafters in the garage in the bids came in from 2500 4,000 to 10,000 to not even getting a phone call back in return as well as two construction guys telling me that they had too much work on their hands and that they couldn't even take the job so to me that sounds like constructions doing pretty good up here in Washington State good luck bro👍

Great to see you back, sorry to hear your issues with video guy, you know the old saying you want it done right you have to do it yourself. Brother as a business owner I have had to take on allot of side jobs to keep the bills paid. Tough as hell even here in south florida
90 percent of our work is insurance work , we had the deep freeze over winter so we got a bunch of jobs from pipe breaks , dryout demo/ restoration work and we were just finishing up repairs , when july 3rd we got some severe storms that ripped roofs off and of course it rained inside the houses , so we gained some more jobs , one is basically gutting the house down to studs and rebuild, but yes everything else is slow , meeks is always empty and they started letting the extra people go recently

This year we prepared for the crap shoot and been focusing on the small jobs me and the guys knock out 4-6 jobs a week atleast for us it’s really profitable

The effects are still going to get worse. I have lost all my sweet spot jobs. I do landscaping in the STL area. I love the 8-15k jobs. In and out and the money is great. Those are gone. I’m getting the 2-4K jobs and the 60-100k jobs(which are scary being small). Anyway all we can do is keep our heads down and hope it doesn’t get as bad as 08. Unfortunately, I think it’s going to be worse. Good luck with everything man. I hope you pull through this with minimal damage to the company and family. #LGB24
I own a cleaning company, and all we clean are common areas in condominium complexes. It's pretty recession proof, just as long as you do a good job and keep your pencil sharp. I've been in it for 37 years and have seen a few recessions in our business history. We didn't have any issues during covid. As a matter of fact, we picked up contracts because for the past 25 years we've been doing electrostatic disinfecting. What a political joke that was. Follow the science my ass
