maybe for the first day. you're using muscles in a way they're not used to. once you get used to it you'll be impressed at how many more you can do. I did 3 sets of 30 earlier, and my form was much better than when I was doing 20

Is there an... Easier way to do it? ;-; When it comes to keeping my legs up, it hurts so much. And then I can't breathe from it. ;-; My thighs are too big. So yeah, is there an easier way?
Edit: The replies are triggering oof- But I can do it now. It's not that it was hard or I was morbidly obese. I was doing it horribly wrong ;-;
Hi TheWeirdoGirl. To make the move easier you can break it up into parts. You can do crunches where you just lift your shoulder blades off the floor. You can do marches where you alternate lifting your right foot and then your left. Or you can do double leg raises where you pick both feet up off the floor at the same time and then put them back. All are different variations that might help to make this more successful for you! Hope that helps!

As with all exercises, you start small and work up to more and harder.If you can only do two today, then your goal is to work up to three next week etc. The form is what matters most. Do them well and do them slow.@@beanut.putter

I'm not talking about you Jared, but very few people know how to breathe correctly during sports, exhale during the effort and inhale when relaxing. The abs are done with the lower back touching the ground (except maybe for the bicycle one) and the neck not moving, During the effort it is like if the rib cage comes to touch the pubis (humor but you get the idea.)
Always exhale with the effort and inhale when relaxing. Same thing for exercises with dumbbells or others, the breathing is always reversed, and often people do the opposite of that and ultimately they stupidly ruin all their efforts.
Repeat for 10-15 reps on each side.
I was doing it with my back inclined nearly 15 degree from ground,am I doing wrong? Please correct me!!!

Stretching or strengthening should help depending on exactly where your pain is coming from.
I feel it in my mid-lower back... Am I doing something wrong? It feels like its the muscle and i do deadlift a lot so it could be fatigued but I dont wanna damage myself

also, if you sit up (but not all the way) it helps with more muscles in your abs, at least that's what I've heard

How come when I did it, the next day I experienced a lot of pain and I still experience a lot of pain on day three, I experience pain in my chest area like it’s throbbing pain and it hurts so much to where it makes it difficult to stand or to breathe
It might be in your breathing pattern. Breathe out when you do the crunch, and breath in when you rotate to the other leg. Also you should do research on diaphragmatic breathing.

What routine would you recommend for a beginner in this? I've been eating healthier and was swimming a bit before the coronavirus closed the pool down. I've lost about 18 pounds in the last nine weeks doing so, and according to calculators online i'm about a pound or two overweight for my height. I doubt I can do very many of these at one time though!

Home workout
Hey! I have some back problem, I have a back that is more arched than the average (I think we call it hyperlordosis) and I would like to know if I can still do this exercise because when I lift legs I have slight pain in my lower back.
And I'm afraid that if I force myself to do this exercise anyway, I will end up having even more problems with my back.
Ik in 2 years late but is ur back like inclined when u lay down if that makes any sense? Bc I feel like mine is aswell arched but like inward on the loweback n it drives me nuts sometimes
@@imaphro6749 Sounds like a form of scoliosis. There's different names for the directional curves that I don't know off the top of my head, but you should talk to your doctor about it if you haven't already

My back arches when doing these. Any advice?
Most often your back arching is due to core weakness. Try to do just the legs and try do them with your back flat. Give that a week or two and slowly reincorporate the arms back into it.

Only doing left/right would count one or doing both sides will count one?
I usually count 1 touch to each side as 1 rep. For example - touch left, touch right = 1. Hope that helps!
