The app buttons cannot be programmed manually. Once you enter the correct code, these 3 app buttons will be functioning. The white button (APP 1) will automatically control Netflix, the blue button (APP 2) will automatically control Prime Video, and the green button (APP 3) will automatically control Vudu. Once you successfully program your remote, these buttons control those apps automatically.
My last remote went so I got one of these and it's really challenging to setup. Thanks for the setup support.

I forgot to mention folks that if you remove the batteries, the remote will only maintain its programmed code for 3 minutes or so. So please be fast when switching batteries or else you will have to watch this video again.
Is a ROKU box like a Roku Ultra considered a "TV Box" ?

I got my remote months ago and I set it up for stream, but the problem was I was never able to adjust the volume/set to tv so I had had to deal with whatever the volume was at before I lost my Roku remote. But with your guide I was able to just connect Tommy tv and have power to control my volume again AND switch to my Nintendo switch hdmi ect 🤣 much appreciated!!!

Also, my TV is a jvc and had the fire stick hooks on it but somehow I can’t go into it for the Internet to turn the Internet on so I brought this remote control to see if I could go into the TV but every time I try it, it keeps saying no signal help please

Thank you for the video. Now my question is they give you all these other codes for receivers vcrs etc. but no where does it tell you how to utilize them. Which category do you put them in. Its not streaming or projector etc. This is something I would like to utilize

I have a question about the white blue and green colored buttons what apps are those?

Thank you so much i got a new remote and didn't know what to do and this video saved me it showed me how to program it and I am so happy at first if I couldn't get the audio right because sound buttons wouldn't go up and down but I went back to your video and I was pushing the wrong code so thank you so much
If your having trouble with the last part of automatic code entry where you push ok when the tv turns off try spamming the ok button I had to do that for button 1

Ok so for the codes that have different numbers for ex: I have a Sony tv and the there’s 1530,18313,14421 do I have to put in all of those??
Also my “ok” button isn’t working along with some other ones when I use the first way to program it so I wanna try the second way
You have to try one by one until you find the code that makes all the buttons work.

Trying to program my sound bar to this remote along with my TV but seems like it only will do one or the other. When I first got this remote it ran my sound bar and my TV. Idk what I'm doing wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated

HMDI under source is NOT recognizing it at all and I pressed input first I have an onn universal remote it is working just cant see my firestick

and it will turn back on and be programmed!
The directions say if the TV turns of try the code again, they didnt say WHILE ITS OFF

Will this work for the watch onn google tv 4k streaming box? I have tried and tried and can’t get it to work. It works fine for my tv but no luck with the streaming device.
The "Watch Onn" streaming box is not listed. Have you tried auto code search? That's the only option but I doubt it. The instructions are here: 2:44

Hey man. I have an old small Toshiba with a built in vcr, will this work for it?
I doubt it. Of all the remotes I tried on a CRT TV (from year 1999), the only one that worked is a GE Universal Remote that I reviewed recently. Keep in mind that with a none streaming TV you will need numbers for skipping channels. In any case, this is the remote that worked with a TV from 1999: czcams.com/video/jTvKtOY-4Lc/video.html

If the remote only turns on the TV but does nothing else, this means that the code you are using is incorrect. Try other codes for the same brand until you find one with full function.
How do you pair it to a Roku TV TCL model
It’s not working for me. My tv is a Onn Roku and After doing the direct code entry, the power button lights up and stays on it doesn’t turn off at all. I tried to use the second code for this tv and it does the same. Any suggestions?
I also tried to do the TV - Setup-Input and code #1 my tv powers off and then it won’t turn on or anything. I did try doing it the other way without pressing input and trying code 17424 & 16142 and the power button just stays on and tv doesn’t react. I’m so frustrated lol

I got the tv programmed but the streaming side doesn't work. I can turn on and volume only. Losing my mind here as I lost a box moving. Why can't I enter my wifi and install a phone remote too. Help me toshiba 32V35KC fire tv
Have you tried different codes? You might be using an incomplete code.

@@normanhawkins3166 watch video again so you know exactly. The first 9 buttons on controller are 1-9.. Follow instructions on video. And remember the first 9 buttons in order as they appear on controller are 1-9.
My streaming box did not come with a remote. So I went back to walmart to buy this remote. Turns out this remote I have bought was not compatible with the streaming box, so I'm basically screwed. Thankfully this works with TVs so this isn't a major loss, thankfully. Thank you for the instructions.

Your video is very helpful! I jumped straight to manual program and was done in a flash. Are you able to change the preassigned shortcut buttons? I have Netflix, Prime and Vudu on the One remote. I want to change Vudu to something else. Thank you!
No. They automatically assign to that and cannot be changed unfortunately.
What do u set your TV on hdm1? Etc...
Anything like a Roku device, a DVD player, or a game console like Playstation.

That means you are using an incomplete code. Some codes have partial function. Try different codes until you find a code that controls everything about your TV.

That means you are using a code that is not the true code. Some codes will have partial function but you have to keep trying different codes until you find a code that controls all functions.

You have to try a different code. If your remote has a missing function, it's very likely that you are using an incomplete code that is meant for a different model.

How to setup for ONN Sound Bar?
Toshiba fire tv…. The remote turns the tv on and off. I have repeated steps… tv keeps telling me it can not find the remote/stuck on searching for your remote. Makes no sense if it’s working to turn it off and on 🤔

You likely have a code that only partially works. You will need to try different codes. Some codes will partly work, like turning the TV on and off, but other functions will not work. Try several codes until you find the best one. I know it's difficult with this remote but it's worth the effort considering that volume is so important.
