I just got one of these things very recently and I love it! I also just installed a 2tb hard drive and your video on that was really helpful. Thanks!
I’m glad it could help you out! Thanks for watching!!!
You dont lose warranty if you open?
@@joaoclaro2454 No not at all. Even HP even encourages you to upgrade it
@@eyelesscrown7346 thanks!
@@joaoclaro2454 no problem!
Just bought a TG01-1160xt as my first gaming PC and I’m excited to upgrade it little by little and eventually start working on a PC of my own. Ready for the journey!
That is awesome to hear! HP computers are great computers, you made a excited choice!!
Hey, by any chance would you be willing to do a showcase of a fan install? I wanna add fans to my PC and I've been following all of your videos and I wanna follow a similar upgrade pattern to yours. Your videos are so helpful and great for beginners, thank you so much for everything you've worked on.
Yes I can. I actually just did a video on that
You would have gained alot from upgrading your cpu to the best one it takes without issues, 3700x.
The 3700x with a 1650S will smoke the 3500 with a 1660S in my humble opinion but it’s nice well done 👍🏻
I Swapped the case and it was a success
Congrats! I’ve thought about doing this, but I enjoy the case honestly
May I ask what case you swapped it into? 😅

Despite the proprietary hardware for these Pavilions, they are surprisingly easy to upgrade. Though that is knowing you're not gonna find anything beyond 500W that will work with Baker motherboards and that anything more than a 3070 would require an outside PSU to deliver the necessary wattage to fully power up. While it's still preferable to build your own PC if you can find reasonable prices or to buy a PC that uses ATX parts, HP is surprisingly competent for prebuilt PCs.
i have had mine for 6 months and i love it upgraded to a 2tb harddrive a 500gb ssd and 16gb ram all i need is a graphics card but there so expensive but the 1650 super is really good. can you do a video on fan upgrades?
Yea, I can do that for you
1650 is not that good
@@The_Chess_GM it is tbh
@@shmokealot778 cyber punk 20 fps lol not good
Would love to see how you could replace the 400W PSU with a Modular... 850W or 650W (not picky) I got a better GPU (RTX 3070 that I would use a Riser with) and I know this PSU won't be able to run it but everywhere I read, the PSU has a weird PWRDCRD 7 pin that they say you can't replace. This would be a sick video. Thanks dude. You explain very well
I have a video swapping the power supply. It is the case swap video. Sadly with that weird 7pin I do not think you can swap another power supply thats not hp for the hp pavilion motherboard. I could be wrong, but I do not think you can
Appreciate it man!
Thanks for watching!
Very helpful review!
Thanks!
I have the same pc I ugraded the ram and on war zone I get 110-140 frames during gameplay on rebirth, anywhere from 80-100 FPS in verdansk I love this computer
It’s a great pc for the price of it
Same man
Is it on Max setting and what resolution?
How much ram did you add to it ? I wanted to get 32 GB but I dont know if thats 2 much
Long term, how is this running with the 400w PSU? Have you had any problems? I have this exact model and have recently upgraded to a 1660 Super like you did. The recommended PSU is 450w, and I'm wondering if that's actually necessary... especially considering I haven't added anything else (no other drives or fans). I did add another matching 8gb ram stick though. Thanks!
Following along with your vids, going to switch to 16g RAM and 2tb HHD tomorrow. Would you recommend going for the SSD as well? Looking to play DAYZ mostly, but nothing crazier than that. Thank you for these videos!!!
I would recommend the ssd, but you would be fine with either for Dayz
Thanks for making this vid. I’ve been using this PC however I got mine with an RX 5500. I was thinking about putting in a RX 6500. You think that would be a worthwhile leap in performance?
It would help, but I can not say it would be crazy difference. It depends what you are doing also
How did you install the hard drive and ssd? I see you have videos of installing them separately but not together.
Your videos helped me a lot. I upgraded ram to 16 and I want to know, can I install any cpu and gpu on this specific desktop, with the mother board that came with it? I want to buy GeForce gtx3060 and raven 7 or 9 with 32 gb ram also. Can I install all that?
You can not put any cpu in the computer, but you can put any gpu that will fit in the case. Let me know if you have anymore questions
How were you able to remove the original cpu fan I can’t seem to remove the screws
Question would it be extreme if i added 32 gb ram to this or should i just stick to upgrading to 16 gb also could i do 2-4 tb of hard drive and whats the highest i can add ssd wise ?
Got lucky, you have the ryzen 5 3600 vs the 3500. Seems like some had the 3500 and some had the 3600 even though the box showed 3500.
Yea, the ryzen 5 3600 is a great cpu
I have the HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-1109 with an Intel I5-10400, Nvdia GTX 1650 super, 256 GB nvme ssd, 1 TB WD Sata Hard Drive. The RAM is 12 GB. I am considering upgrading to 16 or 32 GB Vengance RAM. Do you think that the RAM upgrade will make significant improvement from 12 GB to 16 GB. The current configuration is 1 stick of 8 GB RAM and 1 stick of 4 GB RAM.
It would help if you got faster speeds and more ram. Ram basically gives applications/games a place to store data quickly short term. so more the better
Hey! I got a TG01-1109 that has an intel i5-10400f I was planning to buy a new psu for this rig? What PSU is suitable for this?
nice man hope it last
I’m sure it will. Thanks though
I've had mine for almost a year now. Still running strong.
@@PortzTech your welcome
@@uncledenzil3836 whats your specs
Same build as his
Hey man, did you do a vid on upgrading the power supply? If so, can I have a link pls?
I have not sorry
@@PortzTech please make one if its not to hard im new to all this and i have been watching all your vids and following them
Can you explain the difference from HDD and SSD I’m new to this and I just got this pc !
ssd more faster and more expensive (system hard drive set) hdd is more cheaper but mainly for if you really need storage, pick ssd if you want the games too load faster. pick hdd if you want more space.
That was a great explanation
SSD are faster, cost more and generally better. HDD are slower, cost less, but usually have more storage for a cheaper price.
i watched your cpu video and i was wondering if you could use the cpu fab that come with the new cpu you bought or no? and if not could you wipe off the thermal paste off of it and put it on the new one?
Yea, you could just swap the fan if you wanted or you could clean the thermal paste and it would work
@@PortzTech i swapped the cpu to i5 10400F because of this video thank you. just need more ram now
@@sphasmxl871 That's awesome! I am glad it could help!!
what artic cpu fan did you put?
Just some random one on eBay
Hello can you do a video on how to put the front of the case back on where the usb and things are mine is off and idk how to put it back on pls help or maybe we can call and you can help me
Make sure they are plugged in and run a windows update or update the drivers
mine came with a 1650 and i’m searching for good cards to buy im thinking the 1660 super but would it show a big difference?
Hey on this computer is there a way to install an external power button
Doing a fan install video soon?
Yes, I just did one
Would it be possible to replace the 1650 that comes in it with something like a 2060 or would it be like the 3060 and not fit
Yea, you could do both of those if you can get it to fit in the case
i love the hp e-waste
It is just the best
can you swap motherboard out of this pc??
Do you happen to know if the ethernet port supports gigabit?
It should support any sort of Ethernet canle
Do a tut on how to install the Samsung ssd
I have a video on installing additional storage on this pc
links for cpu fan and case fan?
I currently have this pc with 16 gigs of ram, 256 + 1Tb SSDs, Intel Core i5-10400F CPU, Nvidia GTX 3060 graphics card. What's the next upgrade you suggest doing for better fps/performance? CPU? GPU?
your intel core needs to get upgraded for sure
@@Mispointed thanks. and you know that it would be possible to change it out for something better?
@@esp_09 AMD's Ryzen 9 5950X is a great choice. If you need something more affordable, Intel's Core i5-11600K is a great budget option. But i wouldn't suggest budget only because it wont make a difference unless u have a 3070 so i would look for a i5-12600K Processor.
@@Mispointed thanks for the recommendation dude
Mine came with Amd Radeon rx 5500 Graphics card can you tell me one that’s compatible with this that I can upgrade it to because the graphics card is not very good for playing Fortnite I have to lower the settings from 100% to 60% for the frame per second to get above 30 that goes up really high to like 100 but I don’t wanna sacrifice my graphics and I can barely run my Diablo two resurrected please help
Just get a 1660 super or even a 3060 if you can find one
@@PortzTech ok thanks what brand and is it compatible with the processor does the HP pavilion gaming desktop I got the specs are
And Radeon Rx 5500 Graphics
AMD RYZEN 5
8gb DDR4
256GB SSD
Can i also use a noctua low profile cooler if I want to?
Yea, it should work
Send me that pc fr😭💯
Okay, will do haha
Is there any way to exchange to open case??
Yes, but you would have to do quite a few modifications
Is it possible to install a capture card in the HP pavilion
