Bro I just realized I have owned my c6 for 6 years and not once have I looked at myself in the mirror so I checked and mine seems pretty solid.
The LS3 is the best all around engine. It makes great power, and it's reliable.
I dont have a Zo6 but i do have a C6 2008 LS3 Supercharger. Its a Base model and i LOVE it!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Love my 2005 c6. The ls2 is great but your right there are more options for the ls3. Watch out for torque tube and passenger side tank ascending unit. Did a slp cat back and x pipe sounds a lot better now. Stock is really quiet. Debating on h/c/I or just do a centrifugal with around 4-6 lbs of boost

Actually the car is a great deal for the price and performance you get and so far none of those problems have happened to me its just something to keep in mind when buying the c6.And it's not like they have whole events based on the ls platforms 🙄

For anyone buying a C6, buy an axel back exhaust for the sound. You will NOT get a discernable performance boost from aftermarket mufflers. GM did a freaking awesome job getting every ounce of power out of the ultra quiet exhaust. Stock sounds like crap but performs very well. I went with long tube headers, hi-flo cats and a bi-mode exhaust off a 2010 with a manual vacuum switch. Needed to cut and weld the 2010 pipes a bit to fit my 2007 but it sounds awesome. Better than stock closed and attention getter while open.

Just FYI the NPP by far sounds the best and then when you get tired of hearing it shut it off with a Button

Funny the track setup z06 pic by the lake you used is a friend of mine. It’s a heads cam blower z06. Pic was taken on the holston dam right by my house. It’s a sick machine.
I had issues with my shifter cable. I replaced the plastic end. After a year, it went right back to sometimes getting stuck in park.

Re the targa, yeah they squeak based on temps and time of year. You can adjust the tension via the screws on each side visor, and can lube the fittings 2x a year. I hear the c7s do it too. Grt chnl.
Indeed to all of the above. Also replace the o-rings on the pins. The wear out and get thin adding to the creeking sounds.
I had the same issue with the radiator in my 06 GTO. All was fine until...it wasnt.
Before you purchase a C6 with the LS2 engine, check your belts and harmonic balancer. If tgey squeek and its moving alot, youll have to replace the balancer. Approx $1500 repair.
Does the LS3 have same harmonic balance problem as the LS2?

I agree the interior leaves alot to be desired. All cheap, brittle plastic. I covered mine with carbon fiber decals that make it look much better.
i did the same and added a digital touchscreen radio
The interior is the only thing I have against the C6s I have a C7 the interior is amazing but the taillights suck

@marblox9300 it's a new era for the Corvette they are focusing on a new generation of buyers personally I don't like them in my opinion a 1969 big block Corvette is the grand prize

The only mods I'd do if I did get one is getting it cammed, brakes/rotors, tires, with a upgraded interior, and sound system.

Just sold my 2007 base corvette , it had a few mods and 26k miles and I got $26,000 for it

@@notatoaster3419 Not really the market is bad right now all used cars are expensive, but a few years ago i paid $28,500 for a 2011 3lt with 20k miles, nowadays the same car is selling for damn near 35k

Love the wheel fitment! I have the same vette, but my tire shop didn't think I could fit 19's on the front. What tire size do you have, and have you had any issues with rub, or inaccurate speedometer? Do you have to adjust the speedometer for bigger tires?
Front:245/35/19 Rear: 285/30/20 and I actually had this set up with the stock shocks and I had no rubbing issues whatsoever! Now I’m on BC Racing Coilovers. I’ll link a website that I used it said I’m only off by 1mph at any speeds over 100mph! www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wheel-calculators/speedo-error-calculator and the Speedo is accurate when I checked my MPH on the Waze app. Hope this helps! :)

My Complaints are with the General Mayhem’s entire Car line, considering the price point, they all are rather low rent in the Interior Dept. At least offer an upgraded Interior, can you say “Seats”?
No complaint as far as Performance though!
My advice is either buy a Z06 and fix the heads or buy a grand sport.
Great video I have a 2010 Grand Sport. I love the car. Where did you get the louvres that are on your hood and fenders I have never seen that they look great would like to add to my car.
Do not cut into your hood and fenders!! You will absolutely regret it, unless you’re tracking it and it’s absolutely necessary..
I dont mind quiet exhaust, loud exhaust is how you get caught

I picked up a 2007 corvette 6 speed from my local insurance auction with 55k miles. My previous car was a 2013 infiniti G37 auto which was pretty quick and a blast to drive because it was so easy to push to its limits. The C6 has me on edge every time I drive it. First day I fishtailed from 1st to 2nd attempting a 0-60 run. Now I'm scared to gun it even on a straight road. How am I supposed to race other cars if at any second this beast can get sideways on you at any second? Are all American cars like this because im kinda disappointed. I can hit 140 in my G37 without a worry. I would have to be insane to try that in the C6.

Front Wheel: 19x8.5 +52 offset
Front Tire Size: 245/35/19
Rear Wheel: 20x10 +79 offset
Rear Tire Size 285/30/20
There are a decent car I've had one but when I went with the C7 I would never go back
Why though? I've heard c7 owners switch back to c5 or c6; because you feel more connected to the road or the driving is better.

The C7 with a manual transmission gives a feel for the road they handle great in corners and high speed

What radio did you go with ?
That balancer issue effects almost every LS style engine cars and trucks. Had to replace it on my 2000 C5, 2002 WS6, 2008 G8 GT my 2010 Camaro was ok.
Every engine with a damper.
How much does that cost?
@@Kauffman578 if you do it yourself around $120 for a good factory style replacement. If you get a good fluidamper or other high end damper $600.

My perspective
The LS7 engine makes great power but it's not that reliable overall compared to the LS3.
At 10:28 you mentioned the red Camaro Zr1 but it’s a ZL1 just so you know

With how shit GM fuel pumps are, I would not run them on quarter tank since the fuel cools the pumps. Not like weight is a big deal with the torque they have, its more weight where you need it to put the power down so fill those tanks.
These cars are almost 20 years old now lol

5 things should know before buying a c6
1- dont buy automatic (only girls or crippled old guy)
2- if you can buy a z06 or GS with LS3 all day try not to get an LS2 engine
3- Please dont put stickers in your vette "ATTACK." lol
4- Buy a vette that will be fun and it will increase it's value over time buy Zr1, Z06, GS
5- dont listen to this guy

Automatics are fine if you do daily city driving. Shifting in heavy traffic sucks I do enough shifting in my big rig.

They only see from 2018 and newer..! No concept whatsoever. Not even interested, because it doesn't have power windows, or locks, no backup camera, no port fuel injection.
