I had an 05 C6 z51 package and had almost most of these issues and also had to unplug the negative terminal on and off quite a few times and also 2005 were cursed with a very weak rear diff casing that was prone to break into pieces luckily I did not fall victim but was a hell of a car to daily drive long story short it still cost less than a bmw…

Nice video. If I'm not mistaken the 05 had a 4 speed automatic and the 06, which I have, has the 6 speed automatic. I've had it all most 5 years and no tranny problem. Love the car. Did a resent trip over the Sierra's. Tearing though Highway 88 I got 29 miles to the gallon and on regular gas. 400 horse power of fun.

Make sure to check the linkages of the transmission shift cable, the plastic inserts will degrade over time, allowing the shifter and cable to disconnect. +replaced the front wheel hub bearings. That seemed to permanently fix the active handling too.

Im seriously considering getting a corvette as my next car. Im only 19 and I’ve had 2 mustang GTs, theyre good cars but they leave you wanting more speed, ive always loved corvettes and with my current job and if i sell my mustang it looks like i may be able to get my hands on one ( and i just have to get one before the government makes us trade in our v8s for electric cars).
