In this verse, the word Prabhu has been used for God, to indicate that He is the Lord of the world. He is also omnipotent and controls the entire universe. Yet, though He conducts the activities of the universe, He remains the non-doer. He is neither the director of our actions, nor does He decree whether we will perform a particular virtuous or evil deed. Had He been our director, there would be no need for elaborate instructions on good and bad actions. All the scriptures would have ended in three short sentences: “O souls, I am the director of all your works. So you do not need to understand what good or bad action is. I will make you do as I wish.”
Similarly, God is not responsible for our getting stuck with the sense of doership. If He had deliberately created the pride of doing in us, then again we could have blamed Him for our misdoings. But the fact is that the soul brings this pride onto itself out of ignorance. If the soul chooses to do away with the ignorance, then God helps dispel it with His grace.
Thus, renunciation of the sense of doership is the responsibility of the soul. The body is constituted of the three modes of material nature, and all actions are performed by the modes. But out of ignorance, the soul identifies with the body and becomes implicated as the doer of actions, which are in fact done by material nature (verse 3.27).
न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि लोकस्य सृजति प्रभु: |
न कर्मफलसंयोगं स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते || 5.14||
na kartritvam na karmani lokasya srijati prabhuhna
karma-phala-sanyogam svabhavas tu pravartate
BG 5.14: Neither the sense of doership nor the nature of actions comes from God; nor does He create the fruits of actions. All this is enacted by the modes of material nature (guṇas).

We are responsible for our ' karma ' and destiny . God has given us free will to coose . According to our choice , we indulge in action , thus we make our own destiny . If we choose the allurements of Maya , after a shirt period of sense of fulfillment , we will repent for the wrong choice , that will lead to our internal purification . On the other hand , if we make a right choice of alignment with God , there may be tests and troubles ; finally we can earn His grace , His love and compassion ; finally with His mercy ,we can reach His abode . Thank you Swamijee for providing such deep truth about life . Radhey Radhey .
Swamiji waiting for next shlokas
God has given us this human form with mind, intellect and free will to think and work. God is the umpire and we are the player. He only watches our karma and gives the results according to our performance. So we are the creator of our own. destiny. If we do good karma we will get good results.
Waiting for 5.15 and ahead.
Swami ji explained the fundamentals which almost most people don’t know correctly. And with such humbleness, and love he explained. God applied the rule of karma to all souls but once we surrender to guru and god, they apply the law of grace to their devotees. With their grace, we realize them. Surrender needs 6 conditions to be fulfilled. The 1st condition itself takes human beings to take so many lives as the mind is so much attached to maya from countless infinite lifetimes. My humble Pranam at your lotus feet swami ji❤
Radhey radhey❤️🙏

God gives us the results of our actions. So we are responsible for our actions. God has created us with free will. Thanks Pujniya Swami Jk for the words of wisdom.🙏❤️🙏

Thank you for this great lecture! PLEASE, realize that not all of your viewers understand Hindi, and I don’t know what Sanskar means and could not find the definition online. Can anyone tell me what this means? Please ask Swami to use English only or to define the words in the lecture if he must use them (he does do this many times as well). This would be so helpful! I have watched every verse lecture and have needed the translations on many occasions where Hindi words are used and no accompanying translation is given.
We Hindus don't use the word Holy we use the word Divine (Divya ya Pavitra) 😊, Jai Shree Krishna
Jai Shri Krishna Guru ji . Can an ordinary person like me understand what kind of karmas I might have performed on my previous janmas, based on what I have been experiencing in this life?
Swamiji....a pity and humble request to you. Could you please record Bhaktmaal katha said by Gaurdaas ji Maharaj(vrindawan) in English.
Please share the video with*subtitles/cuptions Bengla also*
In the past life an another body and mind did the karma not the soul. Then why should an another body and mind of present life should suffer eventhough soul is same. Soul is not doing the Karma.

Suppose a person is going to make a blunder. Why doesn't God provide an early warning in that situation?
If God had been a loving one, he should have done that.
So, your logic is flawed.
Swamiji, God did not create us otherwise god could have just given us ability to love only. So all these explanations make no sense
