I just picked up the endurace CF SL 8 on sale for 2499$ USD (end of model year). At 8.1kg, I can’t think of a lighter bike even if you double the price.
Weight of Domane is 9.14kg on the spec sheet. Service and support matter. Availability. In the end, being able to go to my local Trek shop and drive home with a bike made the difference. Endurace was December delivery, maybe.

Canyon endurance CL SF 8 come with chainring 52/36
Both are great bikes, but the Canyon Endurace is the most race of the comfort racers. Not much difference in geometry between the Endurace and the Ultimate.
I debated between Endurace & Domane. Heard a lot 💩 about QC of Canyon and customer support is awful. Ended up with Domane SL6 gen 3 - extremely happy with the bike. I did a century last year without any issues. Upgraded the wheelset to Aeolus Pro 3V, it rides very smoothly and fast now.
Trek Domane is a great bike. You made excellent choice.

Canyons non-disc carbon version of the endurance.
Domane all the way. The versality to swap tire for light gravel is awesome.
For smaller sizes of Canyon 650B wheels is ewww.
Worth nothing that the Domane has larger tire clearance so you can use it as a “light” gravel bike.

You can buy Endurace CF eTap for 3.999 and have 35mm tire clearance.
@@Flexo_l what about CF SL Di2? Doesn't seem to take 35mm, does it?
@@DakarARV CF is newer frame from this year. CF SL is still the older generation. They will probably update it next year.
I have cf sl 7. Takes 35 mm no problem.
