I recently went to my local yarn shop (I'm on NB), but the gal did not know what 8/4 meant 😕. Unfortunately I didn't know how to even explain myself. I will be purchasing some warp string through your site hopefully soon!
So glad this video was helpful for you! Warp string is definitely not something you will find in a regular yarn store unless they happen to also focus on weaving supplies.

I haven't- I'm not super familiar with crochet yarn, but my only thought is that it might be a bit too slippery to make a great warp string.
What is the difference between linen cord and hemp cord?
I don't have experience weaving with hemp, however I believe they are fairly similar.
