Calls Out Tom Platz?...When?..Where?...Your title wording to me sounds like Dorian ripped Tom a new one and is going to call him a liar to his face about his usage...Once again bro...your wording in your titles is borderline lying and definitely unnecessary no respect click bait.....Why not just say the truth that Dorian talks to Tom Platz about steroid usage....simple and to the point

    • @JonnyBravoTV
      @JonnyBravoTV  Před 3 měsíci +5

Dorian knows about his past interview which is why he stated the question the way he did. Also, he knows that Tom would admit more than what he did before. Just because he wasn't mean about it doesn't mean he didn't call him out. It's borderline the way you wanna look at it, but as for CZcams success you have to be creative with the thumbnails. The amount of hours and work and days I put into my videos I think you should appreciate the work more. I spend more time converting old footage, then people spend making five videos.

I could not believe the difference!! I mean it was like somebody cast of magic spell because I put on 60 lb of muscle in a year and a half. So much to where I need 11 surgeries to correct all the problems that I caused! The strength was absolutely addictive and I was never meant to get that big but I had an amazing response to the drugs! About a decade ago, I remember Robby Robinson doing a couple of interviews where he went into detail about his gear use throughout his career. He claims that throughout his entire career...both pre contest and off season, he only used Deca. At the time, I scoffed at his statement and didn't believe him. But looking back, I kind of believe it. We have to recognize that at the time, most of the guys didn't know much about gear. It wasn't like today where they are an endless amount of documentation and research to review. But then, things were based on word of mouth and manufacturer recommendation. Guys were afraid of the stuff. Also, Robby isn't known for being the smartest guy. Today, I wouldn't take deca without Test...but back then, most guys wouldn't have even considered that to be an issue. So yeah, I believe most of these guys when they say things that seem ignorant. It isn't that they were willingly ignorant...instead, it was almost like an innocent ignorance.

Nowadays 75% of these “ifbb pros” shouldn’t be anywhere near a bodybuilding stage, let alone be considered professionals. But the more pro cards the ifbb hands out the more annual fees they collect. I can tell you this much from training with serge nubret that 100 mgs of an oral daily was the average in the 70s but not close to the high end. They never counted their orals into their weekly mgs. Deca was their main anabolic which they took every 10 days transitioning into primobolan. The parabolan back then came from a company in France called negma and came in 76 mg viles, 3 a week was all you needed. There was all kinds of other exotics out their that became really popular but disappeared after they made steroids illegal in the states. It's funny many of those exotic injectables were later changed to orals and sold as prohormones 15 years later. The dea wasn't aware that these were the same illegal compounds with the methyl bond added to make them orally active lol

People forget also back during the 70's a lot of what people were taking was still relatively 'new' so there was a lot of caution with dosages, Then of course naturally the dosages went up over the years/decades as bodybuilders experimented and pushed to see what their bodies could handle bit by bit.
to where we are now people just presume that the bodybuilders then must have been taking the same dosages as current day bodybuilders who have decades of information at their fingertips as well as alot more options

Sorry brother it's just not true, back in the 70s you could go right to the doctor and say you wanted them to help improve your gym performance. He'd write a script for 200 ,gs deca every 10 days and 25 mgs of anavar a day. That's what regular people took who wanted to improve their body. Pros took 100 mgs of an oral on average deca or primo for their anabolic and an assortment of exotics depending on who just got back from europe. Pete Gradkowski used to make dianabol pies each contained 100 5 mg dbol, he'd eat that every day. Mentzer inot his seminar stated 1100 mgs of deca every 10 days. Zane seminar notes 600 mgs primo a week parabolan 76 mgs 3 xs a week. I can go on and on I trained with serge nubret who claimed to be natural let me tell you he was a mad scientist when it came to gear usage

If you can get hold of some of the old underground books … bodybuilders in the 70s and 80s would take this
    In the off season
12 week cycle of Sus, Decca and Dianabl… they would taper up over a 3 week indie then taper down from week 8 … then brake for a month and start again..
The cutting cycle would replace decca and Dinabol with primo, Anavar and winstrol…
The test dosages would vary from 500 to 750mg per week for some body builders in the peak taper …

I've been to Tom's seminars from 1985 through the 90's and no one believed the doses that he mentioned back then either. That said, he did have great seminars, that part excluded.

If you eat whatever you can while having to do physical work it is indeed different to going to the gym for 1h 4 times a week WITH the use of anabolics. Not saying its healthy, it probably wasnt, but its a different time period and physical work was different back then. Like doing a normal day job, building a house, doing a second job to feed the family. And then if it pays of you eat alot of meat and animal products that are not processed like today. Some guys may not be transparent as others, but still they didnt use the same protocols as we do, sometimes its healthier today even so it sounds like alot more.

Fast forward OMG, 35 years (shit I’m getting old) and I see local competition bodybuilders taking 4+ times the amount, with others supps and tbh, yeh they look a lil bigger, but they don’t look as good as those guys back then or are as fit (they used to be able to run up the stairs, without nearly needing O2 🤣) and yeh, I know lasses who take as much, if not more than the guys back then 💁‍♂️

But he was legitimately 300lbs in the off season and had 24 plus inch arms.. In the gym, people would say things to me like "your friend's gotta be taking massive amounts of gear!" They would always pry and try to get info out of me because I knew exactly what he took. (We took the same exact stuff) The truth is, there were normal everyday men in that gym that probably took as much or more.. As far as recreational drugs??? Different story...He loved to party and was a great dude. But I can tell you for absolute certain, that he rarely pushed beyond 600mgs of testosterone. He didn't like Tren and used it very sparingly.. Once MAYBE twice per year for short intervals. He ran normal doses of Deca and a few other ancillary anabolics. But again....There are random dudes in "any gym USA", that are probably taking similar amounts. Genetics yes but i think the drugs were 100% legit, now it's just low quality which would explain high dosages. Don't forget that even for some treatments, like thyroid, Pharmaceutical companies changes the molecule to make more money even though the new formula does work as well as the original one. look at Pain killer, why is it a disaster now, back in the days the formulas were strong because it was the original molecule. Now, it's just garbage, they modify the structure and give you something somewhat close to the original molecule and combine it with other molecule to make the delivery faster so that you think it works.
Don't get me even started whit the generics,...it's even worse..much cheaper but less efficient.
Steroids are not even legal, so the amount of shit out there, i could only imagine. If Pharmaceutical play around formulas, imagine illegal labs....it's really scarry.
And i think personnaly, the amount of death has increased with the amount of gear...yes...but i think it has to do with the other molecular shit they put in to try to replicate the effect of the real drug.

I live in that circle - here nobody downplays or hides what they used. All that in mind - i believe Americans 100% as hell were not afraid and did not use a bit of this and a slight touch if that.

I want to believe Platz, his true cycle was what he said in that old interview. There are a few transparent bodybuilders Like Nasser El Sonbaty, Pete Grymkowski, Rich Piana, and Steve Michalak who took insane dosages and admit to it. As well as people like Lee Priest and Dorian Yates who are honest about there usage. Everyone in the 70s were cavalier with there drug use. I don't the stuff that the golden era bodybuilders say because they do it to mythologize their legacy.

Robby Robinson claims that throughout his entire career....both pre contest and off season, he only ever used Deca. Small dosed deca at that. I used to think he was full of it. But upon years of reflection and considering what other guys from that era have said, I am inclined to believe most of these guys. Guys were very wary and tentative of the stuff. Plus, there weren't any long term examples of guys who used for 20 years or studies to look at to see the results or impacts of long term use. They were going into these things blind.

I’ve done Deca as a base and you need to take a gram to keep your man parts working. You could add a small amount of Dbol (not Winstol) as it’s your E2 levels that create your sex drive. This is ALL HORSESHIT!

Danny Padilla also said in an interview that he only used deca. At the beginning of his career he also used dianabol, but stopped orals due to health concerns. He said he never touched testosterone, and credits it to still having his hair. Only used for competitions and then cycled off completely.

We're not comparing genetics from top bodybuilders to average Joe
We're comparing genetics from top bodybuilders to top bodybuilders
The whole "good genetics, good diet and training" doesn't work when that's the same for who we are comparing them to (Mike O'Hearn is a great example of this)

I trust what Platz and Yates are saying. So many people hate to admit there are genetic freaks out there and we aren't genetic freaks and it breaks our hearts. Kind of funny, I started working out in my mid teens around 1977, and sadly after some nice gains, I still had to come to terms with having shitty genetics. Right out of high school I got a job delivering milk to convenience stores, grocery stores, and restaurants. One of my former classmates who lived at the same crappy apartments I lived at came to work delivering milk at my company too. The guy wasn't carrying any fat, just a typical medium build kid. This guy turned into a literal beast just delivering f*cking milk. It wasn't a brutal job either. Moderately physical, but not brutally hard. Mainly pushing a hand truck with a couple of hundred pounds on it. Occasionally lifting it over a curb, or maybe a stair or two. We did get good leg work in because we didn't have hydraulic lift gates, we were walking up and down steps on the back of our trucks with heavy loads. This guy got so big that when we went to night clubs and we were at the age where young men are always starting shit with one another, people would accuse him of being juiced up. I saw how much genetic potential the guy had, and he couldn't even be talked into going to the gym. Lucky bastard had such good genetics he looked like a juiced up BBer by simply delivering milk. Hell, about a year after working there he had to go from a medium work shirt to an extra large to accommodate his arms. Yes, there are genetic freaks among us. I've been working out for 47 years and I'm sure not one of them.

You can see it in the physiques.
The open guys now are on grams, the guys in the 90s less, the guys in the 80s less, and the guys in the 70s less.
Yates was the turning point and where it started getting more and more ridiculous.

For someone that tried roids a couple of times decades ago after 10 plus years of training i can say very low doses work...but you will lose all your gains once you stop..not worth it..today after 50 plus years of training and not on any trt i still am a solid 6' 250lbs...not ripped, but arms are still in 20inch range ...at 65 its a lot harder to keep size and low body fat then in your 40s- 50's thats for sure.
