I read that Peggy said in interviews that she was truly in love with Dave Barbour even after they were no longer married. He was the love of her life!

This song was written in 1929. Groucho has a line in one of the Marx Brothers' films right around that time (maybe Animal Crackers from 1930) where he says "I may be wonderful, but I think you're wrong." I finally get it!

Sure, but behind the scenes, Dave was a boozer, and they fought alot - ultimately divorcing in 1951. Peggy went on to Number 2 and 3...

What is that wire thingie at the top of the guitar neck just below the headstock? Could that be a cigarette holder with a cigarette in it? the guitarist needs a Strat, a 100 watt Marshall amp, and an overdrive pedal. Oh yeah, those hadn't been invented yet.

It’s a George Van Epps String damper. Could be “ lowered” , to stop open strings ringing or help
with feedback. Herb Ellis Used one.

What is that thing attached to the guitar on the head stock that sticks out. Never seen that before.

The Van Eps string dampener. It keeps open strings from resonating.

Herb Ellis used also used the George Van Eps dampener on his ES-175 in the early days.
