@@FrostbiteP1ano i am a first trumpeter too, back in high school. I have a smol body so i can barely make loud trumpet noises so i force it out of myself. Finding myself in a half dying state most of the time lmao. But being in a band is so satisfying and cool despite being hellishly tiring

We played this song with the beginning 6th, intermidiate 6th, 7th, and 8th bands combined. I was one of two kids to play the high clarinet notes in my grade. This song is SUPER fun to play!!

It's simply for layering and "beefiness". Mellophones are just as neglected by the melody. Mellophones either receive the harmony, counter-melody or they double the second/trumpets. I'd a agree that Low Brass and Mellophones are neglected.

I’m in the top band in my school. We played this for our first concert. I’m a tuba player. This song is so fun to do on tuba.
The one time we played this during class we had a sub, and he pulled in an orchestra kid and made him play the gong. It was beautiful.

Does anyone else think at the part of this song where is goes, “It’s the final countdown”, feels weak. There’s all this build up for what we hope to be an explosive part of the song but we are then disappointed when it’s quiet and the trumpets hop back in before the notes are even over. Just a thought.

Joshua Hofman As a clarinet, playing that an octave higher is np. First clarniets in my band gets slightly higher notes than your C and we even got them above staff C and D in my show this year.

But the octave really doesn't matter, if it needed to be played higher, they would have wrote it higher, it's like this because it sounded best like this.
