BURT BACHARACH TRIBUTE - Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do) live acoustic piano/vocal cover

Although Burt Bacharach's golden era is considered to be the late 60s through the mid-70s, he also co-wrote this memorable 80s classic ballad, which was recorded by the man of the moment in early 80s pop music, Christopher Cross. The song headlined the soundtrack of the Liza Minelli & Dudley Moore film "Arthur", and went straight to #1 in the United States & Canada in the autumn of 1981. Bacharach shared writing credit with Cross, his longtime partner Carol Bayer Sager, and Australian Peter Allen, who came up with the signature line "if you get caught between the moon and New York City" while his inbound flight was stuck in a holding pattern over JFK Airport. Bacharach's stylistic piano-based harmonic fingerprints are all over the song.
News outlets are reporting that Burt Bacharach passed away in Los Angeles last night at the age of 94.
