Considering A.I. in mid-2023

I'm working on a project that has compelled me to confront my prejudices about A.I. Maybe this will make you feel better about all the stuff you’ve been reading about it lately.
Also, for those that follow Visible Authority, an important update on a project some have been keeping track on.

Steven, AI depends on the access to information and computing power. Give it more power and access to everything and if it has matured enough, you go to sleep as the professor and wake up as the idiot.

But it will never have consciousness. It will never know transcendence. And it will never know the feeling of a perfect sunset. As long as we can remember this, we will never be idiots, as good a joke as that was!

@@StevenWasher I wouldn't be so sure. Chat GPT 3.5 is in the very early stages of development and is able to crack a joke. Imagine AI within 10 years, running on a quantum computer.
