      I'm from Greece, I have experience with the Pint and the XR. I've done 42 km/h max speed on an XR... So I received the GT after a long wait. The thing broke when it started ghosting backwards and went downhill. The only thing I can do now is get on here (Youtuibe) and inform people that the GT is faulty from the factory - I could not find the firmware update in the app - and I get no support from anyone - basically no answer at all. So there you go. Entirely Future Motion's fault.

      @HDBnB1  Před 2 lety +1

      So sorry to hear that! Looks like they finally sent a recall notice for the front footpads!

    Nice video! We believe you have 4 ways to improve how your feet feel on the GT. 1.) Your choice of shoes. If you have a thicker sole it might feel better but you won’t feel the feedback from the OW as well. 2.) Your tire & PSI. More tires will be available as time goes on & you can always play with your PSI & it can help absorb some shock. 3.) Building up your feet by putting the time in & riding more. Learning to ride switch is also great. 4.) Improve the point of contact between your feet & the OW. Our Foamies do this with a high density foam. They also help a lot when you do drops from a curb or higher. It can suck when your heels come down & hit a GT’s sharp plastic edge off of a drop or on a trail.

    • @HDBnB1
      @HDBnB1  Před 2 lety +1

      All very good tips! I’m very excited to try out the foamies to see how much of an actual difference they make. My friend has them already and I tried them for a minute and could tell the difference immediately. Can’t wait to try it out for longer rides

    You are correct that disconnecting the battery from the BMS does brick the board. However, it is my understanding that if you ship it back to Future Motion they will fix it for you.
    The BMS has volatile memory on it that requires constant power to avoid being wiped. Future Motion just has to reload it.
    Also, the foot fatigue will go away. It just takes more time on the onewheel. My feet used to be in excruciating pain until I kept riding and it eventually went away. The GT was not my first Onewheel so I have more experience but I just went on a 24 mile ride yesterday that took around 2 hours, in that 2 hours I was not off of the board for more than 10 minutes. My feet hurt only a little but my legs were much more sore. You just gotta ride more and it will go away. Float on my friend! 🤙

      @@jacklinsey this is the main reason why I won't be getting it, especially that the battery is only warranted for like 575 miles... if they are going to lock the battery they should warranty the battery for 2k miles at least.

    Great Video. I just received my GT earl5 this week and I can’t wait to get better at it and join the Philly crew in a group ride.
    A interesting thing… I rented a XR and it was a fine I thought I needed more practice to get good but after trying both feet up front. I figured out I’m a goofy foot and it made the ride so much better.

    Concave footpads decrease foot fatigue. I can ride far longer on my GT than on my XR before I need a quick break. People have been buying concave footpads for their XRs in order to combat foot fatigue. Getting a front concave footpad is difficult for the XR, but comes stock on the GT.

    • @juggernaugh75321
