If yes then start with a 250 a bit of powah but its fine, any bike is good just make sure ypur not buying a lemon, so check obvious damage, once you have a bike they do take some work like oil changes ect amd things occasionally break but its all part of the experience

I literally bought a 650cc motorcycle with 25k miles for 1200.00 9 weeks ago. Plus ebike theft is huge and only going up. Lot harder to lock up
Apple air tag it or put a gps tracker on it.
Better comparison would be a Bosch powered electric mountain bike and a Sur Ron or Kuberg.
You’d be surprised how similar they are in a way.
The 5k bike is a Surron which only costs 4k but still. These things are amazing. They require virtually no maintenance and they have incredible torque. Not saying gas bikes are better or worse but the electric dirtbike is extremely fun
It's a segway x260 which is a surron with a few minor upgrades

Now try paying 4500 for a brand-new real dirt bike you could do 30 ft jumps with it will do 70 miles an hour
Or get the electric and be able to ride anywhere. Also with these types of things you can have just as much fun on either or, no matter slow or fast. I'm not trying to say the electric is far better but they are meant for different applications, and therefore different people. Personally I love both.

If you cover the chains the cheaper bike would be great as less body for dirt to get stuck on and the gaps in the frame make it lighter aswell SO IF YOU COULD ADD WIDE FIRKS FIR FAT TIRES IT WOULD WORK GREAT and efficiently
Bike made for street with street tires and less torque vs bike made for off road with knotty tires and more torque focused
Surron x does 73mph with only two upgrades . It's worth the 4,700 delivered . Cut the one wire to hit 45 mph right out of the box . My next upgrade is 17in wheels
recommend the 2023 AdmitJet Armor, reaches speed up to 80 MPH, 100 miles range, less than $4000

I’ve had the real thing $1500 Honda 125 now I have the SurRon electric dirt bike and I love it. I’m older and not into jumps or crazy stuff and I can put the electric dirt bike on the road because it’s considered an electric bike. Great to have w crazy gas prices

But the e-bike can be ridden on the road or switched to pedal assist and ride slower speeds on side walk as well, without any insurance

If you put 8kw in the first bike it would eat that rock pile like it's not even there.... You might also break the dropouts but you'd make it over the rocks.

$2500 ebike is street and trail legal. I doubt you'll be legal riding the electric dirt bike, since that probably needs a license plate, thus not allowed on trails.
