I love how the people who manage this dam are like, "Sure, you can throw stuff over the edge, just pick it up and don't kill anyone"
Well yeah...
They’re not exactly doing anything wrong to be fair
@@kieranmccabe well they are absolutely destroying the grassy area at the bottom in every video, I imagine it's difficult not to trip on a bowling ball crater down there

Thanks for making it easy to minimise the 3 s 4 brains’ pre-pubescent noise.
0:36 “GO, MEGA BOUNCE!”
MegaBounce: “OK, DAD!” [Floats off into the distance]
I love the two camera angles.. it gives a perfect demonstration of the speed of sound. When Scott threw the orange soccer ball.. from his camera, he was at the 'D' of the word 'good' as it hit the wall. From the boys cameras down below he was starting the word 'not' when it hit!
I’m loving this return to the vibe of three friends who packed as much stuff into their cars as they could and drove to the tallest thing they could find. I know it’s way way more complicated than that, but that’s the vibe you guys give off and I love it.
So they packed as much stuff into their car and drove it from Australia to northern Europe?
@@obmitno6745 not in this video. but their very early episodes were definitely like that,
Fantastic love this ❤️
If you’ve seen their national game of AFL it has the same vibe. Must be an Aussie thing.
No, it's not more complicated. They make millions of dollars doing ridiculous things. Meanwhile, your *FATHER* just got laid off by Joe Biden who axed the Keystone Pipeline!
You guys should do a crater competition! I’d love to see who could get the largest crater just dropping heavy things on the grass.
Nice idea
"Well, that escalated quickly"
Yesss id love to see it
Yeah this is a good idea! I'd like to see this as well! How about it guys???
Definitely a good idea though!
Would love to see a paper airplane challenge on that dam and see how well different designs do!
I freaking love these guys! Love their accents. Their videos are thrilling and hilarious! Keep it up guys!
The Aussie accent
I still want to know how long it takes you to drive, walk, rappel, etc from the bottom to the top of the dam. I imagine it is not a short journey.
i’ve always wondered the same thing 🤔
I think they said in a previous video that it was a couple hours walk. Can't remember for sure though.
@@evanmino I remember something like ile 2 hours
Helicopter helicopter...
One rappels down, not up.
I've been watching these three guys throwing stuff from high places for years, never gets old!
Maybe one day they will throw you
sir where are you from???
i want to get some help from you🙏
Seeing how often you have been there and how famous you have made this dam - I reckon the guys that run this place should build an elevator for you. Or have they already? 😁
They could use the climbing route 😜
Today, God commands all men to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that they will be saved from eternal judgment, and become children of God. God raised from the dead Christ who will judge every man, and you are among them. Thank goodness, Today you really have the opportunity to be totally forgiven and saved, sealed with the Holy Spirit if you have faith in Christ and repent from your sins by confessing them withoutapologies to God in the name of Jesus. To be a Christian means to follow Christ and be reconciled to the living and true God! This is the GREATEST privilege there is. And today I beg you, open your heart to Christ and have faith in Him alone! Salvation is a gift, it cannot be acquired by works or anything else, only by faith in Jesus. Eternity comes soon, and many, unfortunately, by rejecting Jesus, will not be saved, and will go to eternal torment. I beg you, be humble and repent today, seek God with all your heart!
Jn 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, he will live; 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”]
Literally the best content, you guys really know how to brighten up a lads day!
Alright, I'm loving the whole series here, but... the craters!! 2:08 is the kind of thing I'd have investigated for hours as a young lad. And then!! 2:52 with the bowling ball just hanging there... You guys ALWAYS give the brain an unexpected treat.
Fantastic love this ❤️
The tire just completely disappearing for a split second was amazing lol
I think that's where most of the rebound energy was lost. The top inelastically smacked into the bottom/ground when it fully flattened. That's why the inflated tire bounced so much higher.

11:10 Lol the dedication of these guys always amazes me, it sucks he's had back pain from throwing the big rubber band ball but its like he doesn't even realize it because he's so dedicated to their work, and it's cool his friends chose the small one now
I love the sound the bowling balls make. I wonder if drilling more holes in the balls would make it sound even better? Double the holes, double the whistles.
YES! More holes for more whistle.

How were you guys so ON this episode??? You hit EVERYTHING!
Years and years of practice dumping stuff from a height.
Simple, they were not trying to hit it.
Multiple takes lol
They *enhanced* their eyesight and reflexes using *amphetamine.*
They cunningly combined a good altitude and a _baaaaad_ attitude.
They may also have used the combination of a great altitude and being HIGH.
You know you’re good when your videos are more addictive than drugs! You guys rock! Brett killed me with the “stuff ya’s”😂
Right. And I would know
Wonderful that there are still people who appreciate the noble art of having fun. There is hope for the world.
That rimmed tire falling was one if the most insane sounds I've ever heard!
Sounds like a fast race car coming at you, but without the car.
@@NexuJin this is strangely moving

And the whistling of the bowling balls - yikes, sounding like bomb being dropped!
If you've ever been close to a fighter jet flyby, this sounded an awful lot like that. Such a satisfying sound
Awesome as always. I knew Herron had it made with the blob pillow knocking that bowling ball so high on a fluke toss. That surprised the heck outta me 😅✌

Props to editor Jack.. we all should show him some love in the comments! What a legend
I was just about to say the same in a comment. The editing is beyond genius, especially in CZcams terms, no need to skip through, nor do you get a change to.
Mate I never realized how far in advance these are filmed until he said premier league yesterday
Not really that far in advance, this was filmed on may 23rd, their first dam video came out on June 11. Would have been June 4 if they didn't get the playbutton when they did.
Considering they would have only gone for a few days and filmed a few eps, releasing them weekly, overall it's not that far ahead.
So how far are we talking about?
I'm in the US so I can't really tell. Was that a month or so ago?
@@leftofpunk How is your location relevant ?

as a physics student I really love when people use the magnus force without realizing it. A small amount of spin at the top will greatly affect where it impacts the ground! Great stuff!
Fantastic love this ❤️
They did a whole series of magnus effect videos off this dam - amazing how far some of the stuff went.

Same. Every time the camera goes out over the edge my stomach does a little flip. And yet, I keep watching!

3:14 he Was like "yabadabadoo!" 🤣 I really like that sort of 'word'😂
The slowie for the giant rubber band ball was flippin phenomenal!!!!!!! I loved watching it bounce, the way the ball stretched and snapped back made it look like it was an inchworm crawling up into the air! Fantastic viddy boys!
This is one of my favorite YT channels. No politics, no drama, minimal swearing, nothing mean-spirited, no agenda, no negativity. Positive energy and vibes and lots of laughs.

Y'all are dedicated! This video was great! But you were FIGHTING the elements!
“That was a weird experience.” 🤣
Just spent 20 minutes of my life watching people throw things from very high. Amazing.
This is one of the only channels where I actually watch the sponsored segments (and also one of the only channels where the sponsored segments actually add to the video as opposed to making it worse IMO)
Alternate title: Making minor dents in the earth with various objects
This whole channel is just throw stuff off a bridge, and I absolutely love it
can we get a compilation of every time Stanford compares something to Sauron's eye?
"We're getting some smokie! Wedgie-grassy!" ....I love you guys! Keep living the dream and sharing the results!
Another great dam video. Always appreciate all that everyone does at HR, the editing, transporting stuff, the setup... All leading to you chucking something off the dam in a satisfying manner.
I especially love those captions telling how the calculations were done too, honestly learned a decent amount from them. :P
i wish they wouldn't start yell like some kids, everytime when something happends...
@@npc386 They have to; it is the nature of real men's life.
Not sure if you thought throwing a bowling ball from 135m on a thin trampoline *wouldn't* break it
I love how well the Basketball displayed the Magnus effect
Just to be a nerd: The height ascertained (by using the equations of motion) are not suitable for things like gigantic exercise balls.
(As the equations being used are only good if the objects fall at same velocity in free-fall. You can't use those equations for determining motion of a feather.)
Case & point: Scott was given a score of 4.9m on his big yellow exercise ball, and it didn't come anywhere CLOSE to that.
And, on top of that, you can't use the damn dam (lol) as a makeshift coordinate system because it's curving away from camera.
Okay, I exercised the demmmo....nerd.
i was just looking in the comments to see how they did the measurements
Yeh we realised it would be imperfect but in order to get on the spot comparisons it was our best play. If it was for the Olympics it prob wouldn’t fly tho haha.
Also, the yellow ball was over 1m in diameter so if you pause at it’s highest you’ll see it’s actually prob pretty close to a 5m bounce.
@@brettstanford Omw, I love you guys! Been watching for five years 🤩
I thought it was the angle of the dangle.
they could fix it but that... would be painful
I'm going to start calling these guys the 44 Magnum crew, because their wild and crazy stunts literally blow my mind right out of my head!
I just love slow motion shots❤
I fell in love with that mass whistle of the bowling ball
Does anyone else “pucker” a bit every time one of the boys leans into the rail to throw something over?
yeah when one of them put the camera over looking straight down made me pucker haha
Every puckering time.
8:35 the sound of that tire was intense
"Jemima! That was a YUGE explosion!" 🤣 I'm using "Jemima" as my expletive of surprise, consternation, or amazement from now on.
The amount of fun these guys must have just throwing and smashing things is ridiculous
The sounds of air in this video are amazing
Nice english.
Glad to see you're doing more dropping stuff videos, those were always my favorite
Great work guys keep it up!!!!
simple things such as throwing things from a height are some of the most entertaining activities in the world.
17:08 Nice to see Jorginho taking some time off after a hell of a PL season.
I can't believe I never noticed the
rock-climbing path winding it's way up the dam face before! What a cool place to practice rock-climbing!
I think there’s a hotel inside the wall too
3:00 yeah Science!
Would love to see a part 2 to this
To quote a brilliant rock star scientist: "Friction is heat; heat is rip."
These mans literally made it their job to drop things from high places. I love it.
I swear they must have used the sound of a dropping bowling ball for some of the spells in harry potter 15:24
11:33 Stanford the chad camera man keeps the ball in-frame WHILE being moved aside for his safety xD
Didn’t watch your vids for a couple years, back again and loving all this new content! Well done boys!!!
Just wanted to mention that their calculation of height isn't very accurate for the really light items. Their formula assumes no air resistance which will increase the calculated height for items like the first bouncy ball which "floats" a bit more.
Yeah, that was my first thought with the mega bounce ball at the beginning since it was so obviously not accelerating at the full gravitational rate.
They may have decided air resistance was a null factor given it was nearly uniform for every bounce (on the inside of the dam)
Also, air resistance is based on surface area not weight
Then just assume they are doing a challenge based on air time, not bounce height… it doesn’t really matter which metric you base the score off
There's a lot of different factors to consider for bounce height... and they explained literally none of it. Just "Science." It's inaccurate AF.
The formula they're using is complete garbage... The acceleration of bowling vall vs. an exercise ball for example are completely different, therefore the time they spend in the air for the same bounce height is completely different. So yeah, not an accurate way of measuring the bounce height at all.
4:04 THE BACKROOMS
Okay I chuckled a bit lol

Can we get some Jack appreciation merchandise? Or maybe let Jack design a hat? He deserves major props for his consistent wizardry just saying. 😍
I genuinely was nervous about that railing coming loose. We don't want to loose any of you guys, well maybe don't care so much about Rexy. Thanks for the pure entertainment vid once again.

These guys are like TURBO ASSUIES haha love it
Watching this vid after I just smoked a joint & laughing so hard! 😆🤣😆🤣 Now my sides is hurting! 🙂🙂🙂
Always a blast watching these guys. Keep it up!
1:08 isn’t it like the quadratic formula or something with palabras
I think it's the second equation of motion(under gravity)
H=ut+1/2gt²
where u=0(initial velocity)
And g=9.8m/sec²(acceleration due to gravity)
🥸😂
I bet when these guy’s families get together it is a very loud reunion with everyone yelling there conversations.
Very wise to realize the ground was what caused the bowling ball to break the net off the trampoline! Would like to see that again with the trampoline off the ground a little bit.
3:29 - Warning: do not attempt this at home, especially if you're tyred.

Didn’t think I’d have so much fun watching this video. Well done lad’s
You should drop stuff when clouds are covering the top of the dam that would look cool
