- Hey guys,
I am giving a full resort tour of the Hyatt Zilara/Ziva Resort. We love this Resort! We stayed here 5 years ago and have been waiting to come back to Jamaica since the Panani happened. So we decided to wait to our 5th year anniversary.
We got a King Suite with a full ocean view. The room was lovely! This is an All Inclusive resort with lots of activites and lots of food! So be ready! If you go to Jamaica be sure to book Club Mobay at the airport, trust me!
We spent 2 full days just lounging at the resort which is so hard for us both because we both love to be busy. This resort definitely allows you to get lots of r&r. I definitely recommend it! It is centrally located in the city and only 15mins from the airport.

Accurate video! Ive gone every four - 5 months or so for past 3 years..it is my favorite resort and the staff , food, entertainment is amazing! Best gym in a resort ive ever seen!. Fun fact- save yourself $ stay on Ziva side since its closer to Choices and pool is bigger, beach less rocky and walk to Zilara to mix it up. Club oceanview room.... never been when there were ever a ton of kids but they have a kidz club. Catamarans are fun to go out on and included. It wasnt a fox by the way its a mongoose! :) Worth every dollar!

Awesome video! I didn't even know U visited my homeland. Here I was about to check out your Texas vids & I saw THIS! Thank U thank U thank U for featuring this hotel, it's been on my bucket list for the longest while. And the fact that this was your 2nd visit & it STILL rocks was not lost on me. Been to the Hyatt 8 times love it but it gets really busy at holiday times I won’t go back during busy times again. Still planning more visit in the future🇨🇦
Thank you for this great tour! I want to go to Jamaica with my mom & I think this resort is a great fit for her. She’s 62 yrs old and wants to relax. I was at RiU last time but It was definitely a party resort not sure if my mom wants that lol

I must commend you on creating one of the finest video vlogs about this hotel. Unlike many others, you not only showcase areas that often go unnoticed but also cut to the chase, emphasizing the hotel itself rather than focusing on your personal experiences. Most bloggers tend to center their content around themselves, which I find uninteresting. My primary interest lies in understanding what the hotel has to offer, not the individual behind the camera.
Thank You so much! I feel the exact same way! When I travel I do my best to show the area, the environment, things that matter. I don’t care abt folks outfit of the day, or dancing for the camera. If I show anything abt me it’s usually pretty quick and brief. 😂

It depends on your vibe. Riu is more turn up and Zilara is more chill. We boring so we wanted to chill and relax.
Great Video. My wife and I booked this resort for our July2023 vacation. Your video cleared up alot of things for me. The one thing I wanted to touch on was the Down To Earth Tours LLC. My wife and I love excursion. ATV is defintrly on our list of things to do. When you have time can you explain more on that? 😅 Thank you
Hey! I’m so glad my video helped! They’re a tour company and they specialize in giving personal tours and picking you up and taking you to any of the excursions that are in the vicinity so whatever you would want to do you were just let them know and they would charge you and then they would take you over to the location for you to enjoy the activity. Hosan the guy that you see on our videos are one of the owners. If you would just let them know what all you want to see, and do, and they would help to make that happen.

Thanks for your great review. We are booked for this week! We also booked a King Junior Suite Ocean View and was told to ask for building 4 as it is the nicest? Thoughts? Did you have trouble getting reservations at restaurants? We are late eaters so don't mind waiting.
I’m not sure of the bldg numbers so I can’t say. We had no issues booking reservations. Just try to do it as soon as possible so you have a spot.

Is there a way to book excursions on the property?
Yes you can, but I used a private tour guide and they took us where we wanted to go.

I know they provide it but I used a private tour company who did our airport transportation as well as our excursions. So I wouldn’t have the details. I’m sorry.
Thank you for this walk-through! Have you stayed at any other resorts in Jamaica?? I'm debating btwn this one and Breathless🤔. Also, since this resort is so close to the airport, what was your experience w/ the noise/aircrafts??
I didn’t notice anything w the airplanes at all. This is the only one I’ve stayed at but I hear Breathless is nice. Also look at the new Riu that just opened that’s where we’re staying next.

Awesome video. I do have a few questions are there clubs around the hotel and the bed things near the beach do those cost money to rent or is first come first serve.
They cost I think $200 per day and there are no clubs at the resort. It’s events held at night but no clubs. It’s not that type of resort. More of a chill vibe. But it’s near the hip strip where a lot of clubs are.

what time do the hot tubs close can you use them when it gets dark? that would be the only time that it would be cool enough to get in one
I think they closed like 10pm-11pm till the morning.
Great video! I'm looking into this hotel as a place for I (26M) and a few guy friends to go for a few days for our annual vacation. Looking for a more chill vibe than what we did last summer, but still would like some sporty activities (volleyball? pool basketball? tennis?) as well as some fun things to do at night. Do you think this would be a good choice for us?
I don’t recall seeing BBall or tennis, maybe volleyball but I can’t fully say. They have water sports and activities like yoga. But I can’t recall if they have it all for the other sports mentioned.

Do they have Togo containers at the restaurants so that you can take it to your room?
I don’t think so
I really want to try this resort but the beach is underwhelming! :( I like to go for long walks along the beach in the morning, and this resort doesn't seem to provide ample beach space for that..
Yeah it will be a walk but definitely not a long one. I know 7mile beach in Negril is really long and they have resorts that’s beachfront as well. Maybe look into those. It’s gorgeous there.
I was curious about food and entertainment on the zilara side.
Do ppl on the zilara side have to go to ziva to eat and have entertainment? Because that would mean you will be around kids even though you stay at the adult side if you have to go over to ziva to eat and get entertainment.
It depends on the day for entertainment. The iPad thing I showed shows you events and on what side is happening on. The Buffet restaurant is located on the Ziva side. The tour started on the Zilara side so you can see the few places to eat over there. You don’t have to eat at the buffet that’s just where we chose to go. There’s a part in the video where I’ll let you know once were entering the Ziva side. But yes, if you do go over to the Ziva side, you will encounter children. But you don’t have to go over there and you can still eat and go to an event if the Zilara side has one. Honestly besides the time we ate breakfast, I really didn’t see that many kids. But I hope that answers your questions.

What room did you stay in? is the butler suite worth it?
King suite w ocean view. We didn’t pay for the butler service. If you want it, then go for it. But we didn’t need it. They already help w anything you ask for so just chose to not pay for the extra accommodations.
Do they have a swim up bar??
Yes
Was there alcohol in the rooms? Did they have top shelf alcohol?
Yes and yes I believe it’s too shelf. I’m not a big drinker so wasn’t checking for it.
I was watching an older video by someone else and there was a lot of bad comments about the food. Your video is more recent. Did you like the food?
It’s decent, we ate at the buffet, one of the restaurants and at the jerk hut. Its free food so just expect the food to be basic. It won’t blow your mind, but you will be content and full. I’ve been twice and never had any complaints regarding the food.
Do you have access to the beach and all pools if you stay on the ziva side ?
Yes but no kids allowed on the Zilara side.

Is your room bigger than the regular or basic rooms?
I think this one is nicer and bigger than the basic room. The bed faces the patio, and has a nicer bathroom, where the regular room is regular hotel style.
Do they offer room service?

Was there top shelf alcohol?
They do have alcohol
Is the walk from the Zilara room to the Choices Buffet on the Ziva side a long walk
No it’s not too long. But it is on the Ziva side. I actually did the walk so you can see the distance.

They have elevators I just took those stairs.
How about water sport?
They have a boat ride and snorkeling. But that’s all that I saw.
How would you rate the food?
It’s was decent. The jerk hut is really good and the breakfast at the spot I showed. It’s free food so don’t expect nothing spectacular lol 😂

What’s the deal on the cabanas. What does the resort charge $$$ to rent a cabana by the beach or is it free first come first serve?
$200 and you need to reserve them.
