This is in advance of a telephone conference I will be having next week, so that we will (literally) be speaking the same language as we discuss various details about kilts and the making thereof.
and of course - being as I was/still am out of my head with fever - I forgot to mention the 'internal canvas', which is the integral 'structural foundation' of the kilt, and the 'steeking', which is (or should be) a very sturdy backstitch on the inside lower edge of the Fell which serves to reinforce the end of the fell-stitches. You'll find them explained in at least one other of my vids.
