  • Welcome to another episode of Song Revolution. I'm thrilled to be here with you today to bring you another inspiring conversation with some of the most talented musicians and songwriters in the industry. Our mission here is to help you show up in the world as your most creative and productive self, and today's episode is no different.
I had the privilege of sitting down recently with Todd Smith, Amy Perry, and Allen Hall, the members of Christian music's beloved group, Selah. In this special episode, we discuss their 25 years of making great music, the release of their two new albums, and their recent experience of processing grief over the loss of a close friend.
Since their debut album, Selah has become one of the most beloved groups in Christian music with over 4 million records sold and more than 750 million streams. Their timeless hymns and original songs have been woven into the fabric of our worship experience over the last two decades.
In this episode, we delve deep into the music industry and the real lives of these talented individuals. We talk about their recent album releases, Greatest Hymns Volume 3 and At This Table, their performances at iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Ryman Auditorium, and their personal experiences of grief and loss.
So sit back, relax, and join me in this special conversation with Todd, Amy, and Allen of Selah. If you enjoy this podcast, please like and share it with your friends and family. Together, let's spread the love of Jesus through the power of music.

Watching this a year later, and yes, dear Selah, you are precious to me. You have filled many hours of my time with the Lord. You are unique in all the world to me. Thank you!

I just came across this today. We are awaiting the soon departure of my dear sister-in-law. When I saw "processing grief" I knew I needed to hear this. Thank you for sharing this encouragement through your pain. Joni Erickson said in a GriefShare video.."If you received embroidered pillowcases from someone you love, you would be so touched. However, if you found out the giver had crippling painful arthritis, those pillowcases would mean so much more to you." You three have done this very act as you share through your pain of loss. Thank you. I will be praying for Nathan's wife and children and all of you. The bottom line....grief is temporary, heaven is eternal. Jesus conquered the grave. God bless you.

The group sounds great, and I understand people's desire to laud performers that they feel are specially gifted, but the Dove Awards has never felt right to me. There's something very wrong with accepting an "award" for praising God, whether in a "professional" sense or simply as a congregant. The praise belongs to God alone, and it just seems wrong to put the (literal) spotlight on oneself for a gift that is from God, for God, and to God.
