    I've been rejected, made fun of, criticized, and shamed in the same way this woman has ever since very young age, by none other than the so called Christian family members, just because I was the heaviest one in our entire family. I still struggle with so many food issues and emotional eating and starving, and anxiety. Everything that Amy said brought up so many emotions because of how similar it is to my life. Jesus is the ONLY one who has never left me.

    I can relate to this story. I was overweight struggling to overcome by my own will. One day I ended up running over myself with lawnmower. As I lay in the grass, I called out to Jesus. Within minutes I stopped bleeding, brushed myself off and fell to my knees. Still working on my weight, but w God, I know nothings impossible!👏🙏☀️

    Amy is so beautiful. She looks like a model, and has a beautiful voice. I wish I could be in a group and sing like her. I do sing, but people in my family would make snide remarks, so I just gave up even trying to make it in the music world.

    I (and I know many others) completely understand what Amy has gone through with weight and resulting lack of confidence. It is a huge struggle and the answer is often so discouragingly elusive. In the end, it is about acceptance. And Amy, you really are beautiful! And your voice is one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard.

      It's so kind and encouraging of you to share such supportive words for Amy. Struggles with weight and self-confidence are indeed very common, and they can deeply affect how we see ourselves and interact with the world around us. Your message of acceptance and affirmation is a powerful reminder of the love and grace that God extends to each of us, no matter our external circumstances or how we might view ourselves.
      Let's continue to lift each other up, recognizing and celebrating the beauty and value in each of us, as God does.

    I have battled weight for sooo many years. High school was horrible. Lost weight, gained it. I’m not a young women, it gets harder. One thing I’ve learned; it’s necessary for my health to Maintain a healthy weight for the sake of my family, and the people I serve. I do not want to seem judgmental, but we must learn to discipline ourselves, and not allow the flesh to rule us! Don’t set up camp there, keep fighting!

    Most people have heard of the keto dirt by now. Cut out carbs, eat meat, vegetables, healthy oils, nuts, some fruit, and high fat dairy. Exercise 30 to 60 minutes daily...just walking.
    The problem is many people don't have the discipline. The will not give up the carbs. The problem with carbs is they make your body craves more. You have to break the cycle. Once your body fuels itself on fat, rather then glucose you no longer crave the junk food. The easiest way not to eat the breads, and carbs is by not putting them in your cupboards to begin with.

    • @flamingo5900
      @flamingo5900 Před rokem

      The easiest way is to do fasting. When you are fasting you can't eat even if they are in plenty.

    • @Revelation--ti8pm
      @Revelation--ti8pm Před rokem +2

      Yes, I agree. But for those with greater food addictions it may not because of a stronger desire to eat. When I do the keto diet I combine it with intermittent fasting eating once a day and then once every two days and back again. I lose half a pound a day with this technique which totals 15 pounds a month. God Bless.

    • @aftonline
      @aftonline Před rokem +1

      The Holy Spirit can make all things possible in you. If you have a passion that fulfils you more than the desire to eat, then it is easy to fast. Remember the story in the gospels where Jesus had just finished speaking to the woman at the well, and His disciples came to him saying he should eat something, but He said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” He then went on to say that his food was to finish the work that the Father had given him to do. So He was kind of saying that he was just as satisfied by doing his Father's work, even more than the satisfaction He would have got if He had interrupted that work to go off and find food to eat.

    • @Runner8617

      Yep!!! Christian family members have hurt me in the same way they hurt this woman, and I'm STILL struggling with my eating disorder and messed up food habits and emotions to this day, AND not a single one of the Christian family members believes that they did anything wrong and REFUSE to say a simple "I'm sorry" and STILL blame ME for my issues. That's how Christians can be. Jesus is the ONLY ONE who has never left me or forsaken me. I run to Him and Him alone and not to any Christian counselor or so called friend for help.

    • @Runner8617
      @Runner8617 Před rokem +2

      It amazes me that so many "Christians" think that since Jesus "washed away all their sins", that means they don't have to apologize for hurting others. Still baffles me....

      Most of the time it's not gluttony- at ALL. It's usually emotionally driven, underlying anxiety and other deeply rooted issues, often that a person doesn't even realize. It takes a real work of God healing us inside. Especially in the church world things often revolve around food- meals are fellowship. We should never, ever judge anyone bc they're overweight.

    Bulimia is an ugly word. God my Shame & Guilt & Secret fear AND HE loved me Every day for 30 YEARS God cared (age 10-40) & He healed me. Christian woman who's felt the Guilt, Shame & Fear of discovery woman to know that God Knows about & Loves each of us & He Can Heal us gently and completely. I know it was Only Him who did what I Never could even imagine for me. Please reach out if anyone is trapped by food and the feeling that you're alone. I'll try to check back if I hear anything from the many people who suffer from the enemy's body image lies. YOU CAN BE AT PEACE with who God made you! I spent 30 years crying & dying in that prison and NOW 30 MORE YEARS pretty much healed & free!
