I learned a lot from this video! I've never entered grid coordinates before and so this was all new to me. I've always used degrees, minutes etc. Now I at least will have some understanding of how to enter in the coordinates when given the grid and the precise part was new to me as well. This was a great instructional video!

Although the JTAC coords did not seem to automatically copy to the kneeboard. Nothing was there like your display on prev or next pages. I'm running Open Beta 2.8.4.38947. Might that be some type of mod to auto copy the JTAC data there?
UPDATE: I tried a purchased campaign and the JTAC data WAS on the kneeboard. The mission I mentioned where I couldn't see it was a mission I had created. I'll go back in the mission editor and see if I missed something in setting up the JTAC.
Hey thanks Roger! Hey man, whether you create the mission, purchase or fly a DCS training mission. JTAC info will ALWAYS be in your Kneeboard. It's a default addition that's always available & no matter what Map you fly. As long as you hear coordinates or any information from JTAC, it will be in your Kneeboard. Enjoy brother đ
P.S Make sure your DCS is up to date.. as of today should be version 2.8.4.38947 just saying đ

Terrific video Gaz, thanks for posting! Been having some trouble with jtac mission, this is a huge help! I hadn't even known that the jtac 9 line was on the kneeboard! I've been trying to figure out how to not have to write it down. LOL

Only ever received 8 or 10 in DCS that I've experienced anyway.

Anyway, the first half of the digits are for longitude, the second half for latitude. Just pad or truncate them as necessary to match your format.
Wow thank you so much for the tip, ever wonder how to enter these 8 digits in my A10C for example⊠I wish there was a way to configure JTAC coordinates type per mission.

Great video. Glad I found it. My kneeboard is just an ugly rectangle up on the side of my screen. It looks nothing like yours and Iâve never seen any jtac info. Is this a mod?

Just wondering what I may be doing wrong. New to AFAC/JTAC but right after I fire the mav I get âAbort, abort, abort. No permissionâ. What can I be doing wrong here. I get all the way to inbound and laser on. As soon as Iâm in range they yell at me and mav goes dumb
Hey Matt. Firstly, thanks for checking out my content brother. Ok, you might try approaching your Target from a different position or altitude. It may be that your approach is putting your JTAC Patrol in danger. Otherwise if this a mission you created yourself, then try repositioning your JTAC Patrol to a different spot but obviously making sure they have a clear line of sight at your TGT. Another great video! Question regarding the kneeboard: How do you get the JTAC info to appear on the kneeboard? I assume it's a new feature but not sure how to get it to work. Is it a mod or is it something ED is going to implement? Thanks again for all the effort in creating your videos.
Thanks for your kind words & support Chris! Once you receive comms from JTAC all the info you recieved will auto logged in your Kneeboard ( Right Shift K then Open & Close Brackets to cycle through KB pages.. as you prob know ) Thanks to DCS it just awesomely magically happens. Which is also a good reason to Map your KB & KB cycle pages to your HOTAS buttons âïžđ

The JTAC never says report IP inbound. It just gives me an option for attack complete after he does the read back.
That vid is well over a year old but JTAC is currently working fine atm as I just built a mission with a Patrol incl. It's ok he doesn't call IP inbound, as long as you get the coordinates & then the "no further tasking, good job" after your kill.
@@GazAcebut it doesnât even give me an option for him to turn the laser on. It simply gives me an option for attack complete
@WillMaigur What mission you flying?
@WillMaigur ..depends on mission parameters man. You carrying Laser guided weapons? Is JTAC using Laser? Is the terrain blocking his Laser? Lots of variables that determine what the Patrol is going to do ok.

I'm sorry Brother but I can't answer that question. I do own the F-15 but I haven't flown or learnt it yet. I'll get around to it one day I guess. Sorry couldn't be more help.
