- My First Tranny Build and I can say the thing that worries us all...a $3500 transmission repair bill is no longer! Some special tools are required however nothing you cant obtain or do! I will build another transmission in the future thats for sure!

It’s been going down hill, he used to post all the time and he’s been uploading less and less… I go to his channel and check to see if he’s uploaded anything all the time. If he every starts posting again I’m curious what the reasoning will be…
It’s been over 2 months now. Everyone is wonder when we will get another video and see how these projects are coming along?! Truly miss these videos!

If I remember correctly, the forward drum from an E4OD is actually an upgrade for the 4R100. The center splines in the 4R100 are only about half the length of what's in the E4OD.

I searched you up earlier to see if I was still subscribed and I am just you hadn't posted anything new. Then as I was heading out the door I saw this and could only watch a couple minutes at a time. Finally got the chance to finish watching.
You seem pretty confident it's all going to work good but I know even if it doesn't you'll figure it out and share the bad with the good. I think a lot of people like watching you with these builds tackling projects new to you and seeing how you get it done. Can't wait till you're settled in the new shop and putting out more videos.
I know the video doesn't show all the hard work that goes into these rebuilds, but watching the execution and listening to your explanations make me a little more apt to attempt some of these projects myself.

I rebuilt my 6l80 and was one of the most fun and rewarding jobs I’ve done on my truck. Transmissions are super interesting and fun to rebuild in my one personal experience. 👍🏼 you’re gonna want to do more of them after this I bet you lol
as a transmission builder i was expecting to see a few mistakes but you can tell some serious research and planning was done before this build was done overall with the working conditions and the upgrades done it was fun to watch and there's a lot to learn in this video well done!
I actually used to built transmissions for a job , it was amazing I miss doing it , the amount of stuff you would see was crazy

Dude you’re insane. Wow. Respect dude. I paid about $2k to get my VW tranny rebuilt and upgraded. I should have tried to fix it myself. My engine bottom end is toast and have always been too intimidated to try but I’m feeling more confident after watching you. Other thing I’ve learned is that I can’t really mess up because the engine is already toasted so I can’t make it any worse. Watch my channel for that video. Peace from SoCal. First off great work. Most people are to nervous to even attempt transmission work. For anyone finding this video about to give rebuilding their transmission a shot but you don't having a shop press you can make a tool out of all thread and square tubing to get those parts compressed and some 2×4 to make a stand so your not fighting the output shaft to stand it up. Not sure if it still holds the record but the fastest full size truck for a while on the 1/4 mile was a OBS Ford packing the 7.3.

Ive thought about tryn to rebuild a trans few times. Beats the hell outta wasting time installing a used trans filled with over $200 bucks worth of fluid to only find out you got ripped off on craigslist. Good call on sticking with OEM those 4r100s stock can take over 500hp Like any other time doing a overhaul using aftermarket parts it can be fairly common to run into tollerance and fitment issue's that may make thing's difficult keep everything within specs

hello sir, back to talk some more sense into you. I vote buy a third gen either an 06 5.9 or a early 6.7 mega cab and do a street truck build with it. You always do a lot of appearance mods but Id rather see you build an engine and trans as well. Maybe like a series to show which mods work the best? 60-100 overs, upgrade to 10m cp3, fass or air dog, hot and cold boost pipes, stage 2 trans with muldoons or goerend parts, 66-68mm drop in, or compounds. Anything other than rods lifters and decking the head because most of us cant do that. Im thinking about getting into a cummins in these years and it would be sick to use your vids to work off of

Yea I’m to scared to mess with transmissions, I can do clutches but all those moving parts that go in special order and direction, I’d mess it up… would love to learn someday though!

Pretty common failure. I rebuilt my 4r100 3 times in high school for this issue, being poor and working part time I might not have been using quality parts.

What would cause a 2000 7.3 powerstroke to vibrate/shake at a certain rpm? And blow a little blueish smoke?
I'm no mechanic, but blue smoke is burnt oil. Oil is making it's way into the combustion chamber. Possibly worn cylinder rings? Injector cups worn out? Also, maybe checking out your turbo O-rings worn out allowing oil seepage. Like I said, I'm no mechanic, I'm just a 7.3 owner. Check into chat room discussions regarding whatever your wondering for good tips for saving time and money. Best of blessings to you with yours, my friend. Hope this helps you in some way.
