  • How far would you go to teach someone a lesson? In this mini documentary I go behind the scenes and reveal to the average fan, that the patriots losing Superbowl LII may have been just as much about turmoil in the Patriots locker room as it was the Eagles playing great **This video contains copyrighted material, I do not own the rights to. Coming back 5 years later to this video it’s crazy how things have changed. The Patriots DO have nowhere to go for the future but bill is still there. McDaniels is in Vegas with Jimmy G. Brady is finally done after 2 more super bowls.

That said, even if Bill's intentional actions and inactions caused his team to lose the last SB, what definition of "evil" applies in your use of the word?
Pats and Brady fans who upvoted this post: how do you rate Kraft's choice to keep age 40 Brady and trade the 14 year younger Garappolo? Garappolo turns 40 in 2032. Is age 54 Brady still playing in 2032?

@RJTrades. Foles wasnt your average backup. He had ALOT of starter experience. So to call him JUST a backup, is a bit ignorant. Also, keep in mind, that was Foles with his best weapons active, against a Pats defense who benched their best CB for no reason. Whereas Brady was without his top 2 WRs (jules and cooks) throwing to a short white slot WR and a lacrosse player. Gronk was the only real weapon Brady had, and they double and triple teamed him often. All that, with a deep laceration on his throwing hands thumb. So no. Bradys performance was MUCH better. Foles took nothing away from it.
And let's not forget, by rule, the philly special was an illegal formation. And the clement catch, wasnt a catch at all. By rule, you have to gain complete possession and 2 feet down before going Out of bounds. Clements was bobbling the ball AS he went out.
So 14 of the Eagles points, were gifts from the refs.
But it is what it is. We move on. Belichick is a fraud and Brady was the dynasty.

@Drew Biggah This is why I will never agree that Tom Brady is the "goat". As much as I adore and worship my Cowboys' and other teams' players throughout time as well as acknowledge that Brady has a ridiculous amount of 6 rings, I consider Montana to be the true GOAT period. There are still many other legendary QBs from different eras that were much more physical and aggressive and it almost makes it a bit unfair to choose because of the impact rules have made on the QB position over the years. I mean if Joe never got that severe concussion from a hit that would be flagged for attempted murder today, he really would've played many more seasons and could've made his achievements and stats even greater. He was so damn close to taking KC to a super bowl and if he had done and won that his throne would've been untouchable. I am not at all dissing Brady's talent, he is a very solid QB who just knows how the game works in and out. But he has been under the wing of one of the greatest head coaches in the history of the NFL who built one of the most powerful dynasties and will probably be looked at like we do with Vince Lombardi now. On top of that Brady has been constantly surrounded by amazing and talented offensive players year after year; he has also been in many controversial moments. Joe on the other hand earned the nickname of Joe Cool simply because of his skill, clutch ability, and character. As far as I know Joe never lost a super bowl or was a control freak and spoiled player like Brady, especially when it comes to deflating footballs or telling the owner to get rid of Steve Young lol.

Or how Butler didn't fly with the team to Minneapolis, he flew by himself. Or how he missed a practice in Minneapolis. It's not that big of a head scratcher when you consider those things.
So to me the Malcom Butler thing is a conspiracy theory. But leaving his coordinators to call the game on their own in the final stages of the Super Bowl??? Hell no, that's legit.
That's also why I don't buy the Butler theory. This was Belichick saying to Robert Kraft "this is your team WITHOUT me", and saying to Tom "this is how successful you can be WITHOUT me".

Cmon. There was a lot of off-the-field distractions for the Pats, Brady is getting old, Gronk is beat up, Butler is not a game changer and was weak against the Jags. A distracted team played a team that was red hot and way hungrier. The Belichick Pats are the GOAT dynasty (no doubt), but they’ve always been beatable. Every SB win was by the skin of their teeth. Plus, it’s hard to claim a team that put up 38 points and almost tied it up on the last play were throwing the game. If it was a 44-10 blowout like the 85 Pats suffered, I’d consider it. They are an all time great team, but simply lost a close game #AnyGivenSunday

    • @deviladv
      @deviladv Před 6 lety +6

I agree with you Tom. This is a classic idea of "come up with the conclusion to come to, then find information that supports it" rather than collecting the facts and see where they lead you.
The Patriots offense was doing great all year, but people were saying that the patriots defense was a weak point. The issues with Tom and Garapolo are a distraction. Malcolm Butler was a huge distraction. But that doesn't mean he's throwing the game. The motivations don't make sense. You're in the super bowl, you have an opportunity to go out on top, and you blow the game? No coach does that. He had the opportunity to have a six super bowl win, a claim only one other team has ever made. It would be historic. NFL coaches are not this petty or stupid. The evidence that Belicheck want's to leave is pretty solid, because the motivations make sense, but the evidence that he threw the game is weak.
Most importantly, "the camera doesn't show you this" moment near the end, which is supposed to be a defining moment in this video, is very weak. Belicheck spends most of his time right on the sidelines, like most coaches do except at a time out. There was a change of possession but no time out here. Belicheck has to be observing the kickoff. Brady's near the benches at the back, not the front. What evidence was there that Belicheck was back near the benches? I would want more solid evidence than this.
I agree that the patriots were Demoralized, but they were also up against the best offense in the league at the time with a coach that was calling hugely aggressive plays, their offense put up the greatest offensive numbers of any loss in football history. I would not call this a thrown game. i would call this "not their best effort because the team isn't working perfectly together." Also, Josh McDaniels turned down the job with the Colts and is staying in NE, and this was ignored. Though this could go in any direction you can think of, because Josh might be next in line to coach the team if Belicheck leaves.

john ford no it doesnt. This video is a year old and its already defunct. Garropolo is a shit qb whos out for the season and Brady is about to go to a third consecutive superbowl. In fact, until he retires, he will make the Super Bowl each year. And you can count on that because no team can beat him.

As an editor i must say "Epic Video", i was locked in the whole time, and when the Stones came on at the end i got the chills.. new sub!
Edit: im very on board with this theory.. The 'Mic'd Up' portion, and Bill's sideline inactivity really drew me in. I've studied body language and psychology for 15 years, and your thoughts on Brady's sideline body language was spot-on imo, and another strong point . Incredible work..

Quite the contrary. Belichick continued to screw Pats offense. He wouldn't invest in building the team. It's reported TB was not happy with lack of investment in building the team. Finally Kraft conceded and let Belichick run hirings and trades it seems. Now it is all coming together. TB asked for 2 year contract as first choice QB but Pats (or Belichick rather) would offer only one year contract. So, TB decided to go free agent. Well, let's just say, Florida and Glazers came out winners.

Every Patriots fan will always remember Malcom Butler, on that day on the sideline clearly emotional because he put his heart and soul for the team, not given the opportunity to play when he earned that right. I love that dude. BB is an Ahole for not putting the team first and I think the benching had to do with a fight between Malcom and Belichick's son Steve that was given a coaching job he was not qualified to be in, hence the benching. Malcom could have been the difference in that game as he was in every game during the season up until that point. What a shame.
