Then we go on a wild card run in 08, surely that was the year... and Larry Fitz kills us. Then Chip comes in and Foles goes 27-2, leaves field with the lead in the wild card game, and the defense chokes against the Saints.

    From 37:44 onward plays the best football video I’ve ever seen. In all my years of watching other teams on America’s game and other championship shows, those shots and that kind of tragically beautiful musical score that highlights the agony of defeat and the tearful gratitude of waiting a lifetime for victory... is all I ever wanted for my team. And now I have it. Thank you Eagles and thank you NFL films for that gift. This video will make every future loss less painful by allowing me to relive the joy and fulfillment this championship moment has given all of us lifelong fans. You guys - from filming to editing to composing to producing and everything in between - are just the best.

      Spot on. I liked the shot of a Patriots player walking through the green and white confetti - what a great demonstration of he emotion and power of a Super Bowl.
      On a side note - imagine being Jay Ajayi. He was a Dolphin up until October. He had to have hard feelings for the Patriots, who've dominated that division. Now he's got a ring, and it's hard to imagine how he'd have gotten even into the playoffs with the woeful Dolphins.

      Mad respect for you and your comment. I'm tired of all the bragging. So glad you are just a normal person who loves the game like most of us. Rings are certainly nice but a good win by Eagles for sure. Tom's comments sounding like bitter on one lucky play isn't a good look but people have to remember he just lost. Who in their right mind would want to relive that again in a media room press conference. I'm sure he was bitter, he wants to win too I don't hold that against him. I may not like Brady but I don't expect anyone to act 100% of the time as a saint. We all have bad moments. Props to you for seeing this a a momentous occasion for Eagle fans. Congratulations on your wins as well. Good luck in the future without Brady. You've got a long road ahead, hopefully it's a short bad ride.

    Why do we hear the commentators repeatedly saying the Eagles' defense had no answer for Brady and the Pats but we never heard them say the Pats defense had no answer for Foles and the Eagles even though we were beating them for most of the game and ended up winning by eight points?? If their defense had all the answers, why did we score 41 points on them?? Basically, I hate the commentators. They always seem to kiss certain teams' backsides no matter what.

I honestly was surprised the pats put up 33 points (+ missed field goal and extra point) but I wasn't surprised the eagles offense dominated the patriots defense. All in all, if you would have told me beforehand the eagles offense would put up 40+ points and the game would still come down to the last couple of minutes, I would have thought you were mad considering that awesome eagles defense.

    Super Bowl LII was my absolute favorite Super Bowl!!! It was great!!!! I’m not a Philadelphia Eagles fan, but after watching this championship game of a championship game, they have my respect. They definitely deserved to hoist the Lombardi Trophy over their heads!!!!! It was an awesome game. I can’t wait to see what Super Bowl LIII will have in store!!!!! Rams vs Patriots, good luck to both teams!!!!!

    that ertz catch by the rules is a very obvious td. But even if for some reason you don't think he made a "football move" he really never "fumbled" the ball. The ball comes loose while his hands are UNDER the ball...and then he re-catches it cleanly. He never actually "fumbled"...so all the details are irrelevant anyway. If you don't believe me slow it down to .25 and see for yourself

    • @E5C4P377
      @E5C4P377 Před 6 lety +3

      he made his football move, became a runner. and crossed the plane. it is just that simple. I thought Alshon's catch would get revoked because you can clearly see the ball move with the last angle. I also thought the first TD eagles had was not clear cut TD considering the rules and crap they been doing with interpretation. I am glad they just let these guys play and leave politics out.

      Wentz is younger, more consistent, and has a slightly higher ceiling. Not to mention cheaper for at least the next few years. Foles is a beast though I'd love if he stayed but he deserves a chance to go be a starter again somewhere. And the millions that will come with it. I'm just glad that they had a QB of Foles caliber ready to step in after Wentz went down. People don't realize how lucky they were to have a top 10 qb backing up a top 5 qb. Most teams would love to have either as a starter. Props to the GM. And Foles and Wentz for not being divas and being team first guys.

    What a great game and season that was. I was so happy that I finally got to see my beloved Eagles finally reach the pinnacle. I was just 9 years old when the won in 62. All the games my dad and I watched at Franklin Field, The Vet and on TV. He was gone now but I felt him with me at the end of that game...And now, at 71, I want one more for all of us--EAGLES fans and family. One more for the vets, the rising stars, the coaches and front office staff that put their whole being into this great team. And for everyone that loves hard knocking teams that do not quit. One more for all of us that have cared for however long. One more please.
