I have not yet found any fragrance reviewer that give such a clear “picture” of fragrances as you sir. You don’t find many fragrance tellers that makes you wanna listen to every word through out. 🙌🏻

I’m a huge fan of Xerjoff and I’ve tried many of them, but I can’t say that I like them all. IMO Renaissance, Naxos and Nio are the best. Thanks for the review, Marcelo! 👊🏽

Well a great review with historical facts explaining the story behind the scent Wow,so when we wear this fragrance we became a part of that history,and that what happened yesterday when I wore my Naxos for the first time,thanks for your influence.

Xerjoff is a wonderful, classy brand. As always, thank you for the detailed background on why Italian citrus is a preferred ingredient and a little regional of history to boot. I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger due to its lack of popularity but I’m so glad I did. This was my 8th Xerjoff purchase and I love all my babies the same. This might be my signature scent for the summer. Loving this one!

Congrats on the ‘new baby’💫 It’s funny how some people are not liking this fragrance (don’t know why??) As you’ve discovered this is amazing as a summer fragrance and happy to also advise that it’s perfect for Fall/winter too (it’s amazing how easy this fragrance plays in so many circumstances).

Yes I do understand this Bardissan. The tuberose note is a distinct part of this fragrance and as mentioned it does have a very soft floral component to the perfume. Awesome to hear from you my friend, hoping you are well
Just Got my bottle of decas today, love it. Got Naxos, renaissance and now Decas. Have been following your channel for a while a love the content. Not quite sure about Zefiro, a little bit afraid of the incense…. Anyway, keep up the good work

Yes, Zefiro is a very distinct incense fragrance, but blended so beautifully with a honey note that it gives it a beautiful sweet, smokey and spicy sillage. Up close for you, might be strong but the sillage is incredible. I would recommend that you test this out. Put it on skin and see how it performs for you and also ask those around you if they can smell your fragrance, you'll be impressed at the comments....this is a beautiful fragrance (but don't blind buy). Will be curious to know how you go.

I first sampled Decas when Iommi arrived, before I picked up a bottle of Naxos. I remember standing in my room in the morning, pausing for a moment & caught myself going "wow" to myself. Since wearing Naxos & others, my second testing of Decas didn't give me the same wow opening, but the dry down that lingered kept coming back to seduce me. Your storytelling is the best in the business! Maybe only the Fragrance Apprentice can compare. I'm sold.

I watched your series and I remember your saying that Zefiro, even though it uses incense, was not a homage to Rome and the churches. I think your analogy was very apt and with this piece being a statement to that and filling that spot.
Yes, at the time, being that there were only 3 in the collection; I made the assumption that Zefiro was that 'sacred nod' to Italy being that Rome was it's heart.....but I was wrong😂
Zefiro is about Rome, but it can still be a sacred nod to this amazing 3,000 year old city, especially now that we have Decas in the collection. This can comfortably be a tribute to Italy as a whole....(well at least until the next fragrance in the collection comes out😣)

I love your reviews. My wife, my son and I travelled to Italy for the first time last year. Amazing didn’t even describe this trip for us. I fell in love with Xerjoff as an Italian brand. I have been building my collection ever since. Naxos of course was first. Tony Iommi and La Capitale are current my favourites. I have just ordered both Decas and Renaissance being it’s spring going into summer here in Canada. Again, I love your insight as always (I can’t wait for the new Tony Iommi Deified)

So far, I have Zefiro and Naxos from this line.. I have to say, Zefiro is my favorite. I will buy reinessance for the summer. Should I pull the trigger with this one? (I have Uden Overdose too, I have to say, Xerjoff is my favorite niche house).
Citruses are from Southern Italy only: exception made for lemons all top citruses are from Calabria (especially those used in perfumery), then we have sweet lemons from Amalfitan Coast and great sour lemons and red oranges from Sicily. The rest of Italy does not offer them.

Quit new to your Channel. Moved from Designer to Niche and discovered you 😁 my first xerjoff was Erba pura, then Naxos and yesterday got Renaissance. Thinking of getting Decas next or 40knots
Do you prefer Erba Pura over Renaissance?
@@SouthernArawak yes... Erba pura is really nice, but there is just something speciel about Renaissance. The bright and clean citrus, the mint and the floral ... all thight together with some musk and some smooth wood in the base. Its so uplifting.
Just curious how this compares to La Capital in terms of floralness, strength/projection/spillage and dry down. I currently own Naxos, Renaissance, Torino21 and Uden Overdose. I was trying to decide which to get next after i get Tony Iommi. I was thinking either Zefiro (I love incense and also spicy as I’m a big fan of Montal Intense Pepper) or La Capital. But am now unsure if I should get Decas instead or get both. I know this an old video and you have lots of fans that keep you busy but if you or one of your followers could comment that would be great. In any case thanks for your content and hope you have a fabulous upcoming holiday season.
I've had a couple of samples of Decas. Personally I'm undecided on whether to get it. I like it and its versiltile, so it would be better value for money than other fragrances I have that only work in one season but its not a love for me. I did wear it to work and I did get a good compliment from a customer who said she'd been following the smell around and trying to figure out where it was coming from (I do overspray). She asked what it was and I showed her on my phone but she was shocked by the price, so I don't think she'll be getting it for her partner.
I strongly believe you are getting exceptional value for money. The fragrance’s are complex, long lasting, and in my opinion a work of art.
But yes, like all the Xerjoff’s there is a price tag associated to this (or anything of quality).

I tried couple Xerjoffs today and got flashed from all of em. Decas is one I go back to the test stripe and keep smelling. It smells like a luxurious spearmint gum to me. And I like that a lot.

Bought Decas, it's unisex to my nose, one of the few niche fresh fragrances that I would actually use. I approve of Decas. Great history and Xerjoff lesson.

Based off the description I can see why you said this isnt for everyone. However I plan to get it for 3 reasons.
1 - I love the back story to the entire 1861 line.
2- to complete the collection. In all honesty the only reason I got Zefiro was to complete the collection. The reviews I did see didn't reflect what I got from the fragrance. If I went SOLELY off reviews I would have never got Zefiro. And that one ended up being my favorite out of the collection. So that taught me a lot.
3-the main reason is to once again complete the collection. Hopefully I will have a similar experience with Decas, where it goes against the common reviews and wows me. We will see.
I totally agree with all your comments here Shawn...as a collector I totally get it.
I also agree that 'reviews' are just sounding boards. That's why I never dis any fragrance. Just because I don't like it, doesn't mean that it's no good.
I did the same thing with Zefiro. I read a lot of negativity on this fragrance but I got it because I too wanted to complete the set and like you, ended up loving this one!
Once you get the chance to test Decas, I'd be curious to know your thoughts. I love it. It's awesome in summer, but still works well in winter. Keen to hear your thoughts

Yes, I understand your feelings on this. That Tuberose note is very pronounced and makes a very definite statement; it can be too much.
I find that if you can make it through the opening, the drydown is brilliant as the other notes begin to come forward.

I have Naxos and love it. Of the other 3, Zefiro, Renaissance and Decas would you recommend as a safe blind buy?
I have 10 or more Xerjoff’s so I love their fragrances. Just trying to decide in which order or if I should get one more from this collection.

Yes Naxos is a masterpiece💫 I’m not a big fan of blind buying as fragrances play differently on different individuals, I always recommend to test on skin first.
But to answer your question
Renaissanceis a very bright citrus green fresh fragrance
Zefiro is a soft incense with a honey note running through it
Decas is an extremely divine tuberose citrus tinged fragrance that even a man can wear

This is the best fragrance channel in all of CZcams. You should do your own fragrance release by the end of 2024. Just do a small batch of 100 bottles to test the market here with your followers. Do a large poll on 50 oils that people really like and build on that

Whenever I think of tuberose I think of how a grandma would smell. But, I'll consider buying or better sampling Decas!
I have to say that whichever grandma is out there smelling of tuberose, then she's a fox! (think of the scene in Wayne's World with Garth singing 'Foxy Lady'😂) In my opinion Tuberose is ultra sensuous (like next level) that it works so well in a woman's fragrance; hence why I was curious to know if could work on a me?
