While there are many phones called Ultra, when Xiaomi uses the word, they mean it.
Last year that meant a transparent see-through body and an insane 120W charging. This year on the Mi 11 Ultra it means the world's largest image sensor on a smartphone phone.
But do the photos justify that big camera hump?

I cannot see why you want a photo to come out as saturated , reality is a far better expectation . Colors can easily be dialed up in editing . 🤔🤔🤔

Lot of Mi 11 Ultra camera imperfections are corrected with new software update trough MIUI 12.5. Camera is much better now. Plus it is same update DxOMark used it on their test.

It is a shame that the Vivo X60 Pro + only has a mono speaker, else that would have been a contender.
software experience is the only part making me hesitate to consider it..!!
@@shadowofsun7833 we went for the OPPO Find X3 Pro in the end because the Mi 11 Ultra still isn't available in the UK. Not sure what the delay is down to. Global chip shortages maybe...

Compared to other reviews I have feeling that he did not know how to use Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra cameras.

Hows the signal and data reception? Had few experience with Xiaomi with low data/ no internet connection and very weak signal bar usually 1 bar.
Also ive notice that their audio microphone is really weak? Redmi note 10 pro, redmi note s9 and my dad's 2018 Xiaomi. Hope it was improved on the mi 21

You are great in taking artistic photo, but your review is a bit weird for me.
10:05 : mi 11 ultra is the one without that light leaked which make it the less artistic, so definitely not well done
10:25 : mi 11 ultra is the best in this photo, it has more shadow which make it more contrasty and more pronounce, yet you choose vivo and iphone
10:59 : vivo is definitely the most flat amongs these photos yet you choose it because it light up your face ?
Or maybe it just my taste and preferences in photos are very different to you.
Fantastic review..although i pre ordered Mi 11 Ultra due to specs,price,n design but vivo60pro is the lead in camera section...
But overall package i will choose the Xiaomi

I think Xiaomi programmed their camera to be a little bit of "underexposed" to add a little more contrast, and most photographers love to underexpose their shot for lesser noise, but most people have a different taste. But, iPhone is still the one to defeat.

The drop from 120W charger to the 67W charger isn't simply due to Xiaomi's choice!
The MI 10 ultra was a China exclusive, so that allows it to be shipped with that HUGE charger, but the MI 11 Ultra is a GLOBALLY released phone, and that means it has to adhere to rules and regulations of other countries - Europe especially. And that requires it to be shipped with a not so lesser 67W charger in the Box.
Hope, this info helped to appreciate for what Xiaomi has achieved with this phone..!
I'd put my money on the vivo if I were looking mainly for camera performance. But for a daily it's missing too many things for me.

5:37 - I was genuinely surprised at how good Vivo X60 Pro+ zoom shots were, knowing it only has a 8MP periscope... The Mi 11Ultra has a 48MP one.
@@LordAngelus True. I think if you can master the software, you can beat superior hardwares. Pixel and iPhones are a great example. I cant even imagine what Pixel could do with the a 48MP camera.

I got the vivo x60 pro plus and the mi11 ultra is on the way too right now from trading Shenzhen. I honest DONT think the mi will come close to the camera performance from the vivo it's just extraordinary. BUT we have to keep in mind that Xiaomi its self stated, that they are still on a beta firmware for the cameras. I thit they will get much better in a few weeks.
The mi 11 ultra is way better than the Vivo. I've got the China model with the latest updates though.
@@mharro88 I got the latest cn firmware too - the vivo still blows the mi 11 u away with its camera performance. The mi 11u can't deliver what it could regarding to the specs on paper

@@mharro88 yes I am and others are my opinion too. While the vivo can treat blows with the s21 U, the 11u simple can't at this point. That's a fact and it's a shame for this camera monster to have such bad software especially on the global version
@@heikootto2865 you're blind mate. Have a look at DXO mark and other camera comparisons. The global model isn't even on up to date firmware , DXO used 12.5.4. I'd have the mi 11 ultra , s21 ultra Snapdragon version then the Vivo .. the vivios colours are absolutely hideous.

A bit disappointed of the camera for it's price Mi 11 is about $800 and Mi 11 Ultra is about $1200, the differences are not noticeable at all, if you don't look at the specs on a paper. Camera should of been better!

You should've turn on AI and HDR in all of them to take shot. So they don't fail to recognize which photo needs hdr. Mi 11 ultra suffers for that the most.

12 pro max doesnt have the 2nd largest sensor.
mi11i is the k40 pro plus, not mi 11 pro. its a poco f3 with sd 888 and 108mp main sensor.
I think no telephoto camera on any mobile phone is really worth anything beyond social media. Perhaps the xperia iv zoom is more usable. To be honest i think post editing should be the way to do thing's if you take photography more seriously.
Got his point.. xiaomi has to match the best hardware they used with the best software they can offer.

I think for most of the uses, we would not touch the hump or bump or protruding or what it is. I think it is fine. The only thing unfine is the price is rising up. Xiaomi is becoming expensive too.

Everything was good until I saw the hole on the screen for the front camera, i like better the pop up front camera.
Galaxy S21 ultra is only $849 for 12GB RAM and 256 ROM in cambodia, there is no point to buy this phone

And the winner is Vivo X60 pro+...far superior than all the rest unfortunately it hasn't been released yet here...
The only problem with Vivo x60 pro+ is its from vivo, bootloader is locked and software updates are crap.....else vivo would have won the crown this year.....
i think if vivo had provieded 2k screen with x60 pro plus..it would be the best phone in the market..no one is near x60 pro plus when it comes to camera..followed by s21 ultra the mi 11 ultra then iphone.

It's a xiaomi. Unlock bootloader and get a xiaomi.eu rom update every Friday. Literally EVERY FRIDAY
Xiaomi has stong custom ROM support.
The Mi 11 ultra is so far in front, I don't know what you are looking at to be honest.

why sony is not included in the tests especially they using Carl Zeiss lenses
And nothing is remotely close to Zeiss. All of these phones are a sony or samsung sensor. How to say a stock sony lens on ff dslr can ever compare with Zeiss/Leica/Pentax/etc

"the only 5x camera in this league is the vivo x60" ... my mate 40 pro begs to differ. I really wish you had used it in the photo comparison, it should beat it in zoom and in the ultra wide department and the main camera comparison should be very close indeed.
@Ren Kurusumiya Tomokawa yeah but honestly it makes little difference. You can still get any apps you want without much of a hassle using petal Search and other apps stores like apk pure.
I have mi 10 ultra and it's driving me insane with the usual MIUI bugs of not receiving notifications.i have tried everything and they can't manage something so basic.
Take my advice and avoid any xiaomi phone.I will be selling mine
