Oh no kid, I had a vacuum that I liked blow up on me, the belt had gone, no way I could have fixed like you have. Ma'shAllah, there's an engineer within you kid.
Alhamdulillah thank you for the lovely comment 😁
I once had to deal with a stuck water bottle cap on a UP13 wand. It was annoying as hell to get off. Just a few days ago I had to fix my DC14 because the brush bar would easily stop. I gave the belt for the brush bar some belt dressing and it works perfectly fine now. Definitely in this situation belt dressing isn’t enough
Great video buddy 👍👍
The hepa could have been changed and brushbar being cleaned but good job though. What did your neighbour say when you refurbed their machine?
4:06 I do this method. However to put the belt on the spindle, I use a screwdriver as it seriously hurts when trying without.
Brilliant service as ever. I've got some internal hoses for DC07/ DC14 that I've taken apart for spares. Is there anyway to tell the difference between the hose for the clutched and none clutched model? Many thanks.
Hi all DC07s and DC14s use the same internal hose as they’re a generic part, they will also fit non clutched DC04s and DC33s too. The clutched DC04s, however use a different internal hose which are rubber on both ends of the hose with no grey coloured cuff on one end
Hope this helps!
@@parwaz7861 Hi thanks. Much appreciated.
@@parwaz7861 I have another question. I repair Dyson's and have noticed the early ones all green and the later one, I presume all grey, not green at all. Which one is more robust?
Many thanks.
@@niceandspicy3197 do you mean the body of the vacuum is an odd green colour? If it’s discoloured into a green colour that’s the older brittle type, the darker the grey the most robust the plastic is
@@parwaz7861 Hi yes. It's an DC07 standard 2001. The origin is I think 2007 onwards.
I've had those problems and they can be very annoying.
What belts did you use? Are they the Qualtex ones from LM Electrical Ebay?
Qualtex ones yes
@@parwaz7861 I've used them. Never had a problem with.
@@parwaz7861 I always use Dyson ones where possible
@@RJA_World I found qualtex belts to last longer than dyson ones imo, I’ve known a dc33 owned from new where it’s clutch stretched out it’s belts within 2 years whereas with a replacement dc14 refurbished by me with qualtex belts still worked like new after 2 years
@@parwaz7861 Fair enough mate, I think it's just luck of the draw
Didn't work for me. My hose is not blocked and it still doesn't have power to pick up much. It used to have lots of vacuuming power but not anymore. There are no blockages.
I did a guide on a dc14 to show in more detail of what to check - this video is only to show what was wrong with this particular dyson that belongs to my neighbour
how come you uploaded at 2 am?
It’s not my usual type of video so I thought I’d do it at a random time
@@parwaz7861 ok
The thumbnail looks like you’re pointing out some dirt on the floor and you’re going look over the Dyson there’s a big mess
🤣🤣🤣
