- definitely get why people use real old samples, but making your own is like you're sampling an old song from an alt universe!
plugins:
drum samples, delay, pitch shifting & saturation all stock Ableton plugins, your DAW should have its own equivilent versions! If you can't do the subtle pitch shifting, then bounce the sample out, and automate the pitch manually a tiny bit for the same effect.

That's a cool technique, but if somebody's looking for an amen sample, they probably want that exact sequence and punchiness to chop up.
That’s a fair point! the title was mostly meant to be tongue-in-cheek, I definitely still use amen breaks every now and then too
@@canaryworkshop You know what else is tongue-in-cheek? Analingus.

Nice work man! Just found your channel with the Amigo video you put up a week or two back. Definitely going to give this a go!
glad you liked it! And thanks for sticking around 😊
good video bro, make a tutorial for the final chords please there are so cool!!!!!!!!
Technically you need acoustic instruments And from that building the groove, resampling it and chopping up
very true - it could actually be quite fun to try and recreate classic breaks as closely as possible!
Can you make a tutorial on making a jungle/breakcore?
I’ll add that to the list of video ideas!
Think Break > Amen Break
do not change my mind because you'd be wrong
i can get behind this, especially with the "yeah! WOO!" vocals 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
@@canaryworkshop Personally, I like the third break of Think Break, which sound like "poogen" in the first kick drum
Why not both? It takes two to make a track go right
@@rdubb77 actually i did something like that on something i made previously but i don't remember the songname
@@12DAMDO cool, but I was under the impression that a lot of DnB layer both the think and the amen. They at least switch between them, then sometimes even have both going or take chops of either and interpolate them
