- Vandals? Burglars? Night-time boaters? All things that go bump in the night on a narrowboat. We were woken up with a bang in the middle of the night and frantically ran outside to see what had caused the noise that woke us up with such a fright!
The next day we set off from Thrupp, embarking on our final day cruising the Oxford Canal. We rescue a duckling and reunite it with his mum, and we meet up with narrowboat Silver Fox's sister boat, Amerblyn.
We reach Duke's Lock and make a decision on the next part of our journey. Either to the end of the Oxford Canal, south towards Reading, or east towards Lechlade on the River Thames.

Sorry guys to hear about Dillon. It took me a while to get over the loss of Chloe which was my own dog. I used to hear the same noises around the house after she died that she made when she was alive. I dont think she ever wanted to leave me and stayed around trying in her own way to say goodbye. Im going to miss Dillon and will always watch back the videos he was in. Stay safe :) Martin.

Know exactly where you are coming from here guys, absolutely heightens the senses like you would not believe! Happened to me a few years ago at my girlfriends house. We had had an attempted break in that I disturbed on the Friday to the point that me and a neighbour ended up jumping through gardens trying to catch the “xyz”. Then on the Saturday at about 0230 am we were awoken bolt upright by a massive spine tingling bang and I mean both of us went from deep sleep to fully wide awake in microseconds! Went to def con 3 and I grabbed the nearest self defence item I could find and ran to the top of the stairs to gain the tactical advantage as the other half opened the window and readied the phone for the cops on the three 9s! Turned out as I descended the stairs like a brave warrior in underpants that a large glass picture frame had fallen from the top of the stairs onto the stairs below and smashed to pieces! The spooky thing is we put it down to that and relaxed but didn’t at the time ask what had caused it to fall off! All the best and keep safe, Paul

Everyone knows when you hear a 2:00am bump on the roof of a narrowboat, you take your shotgun and start blowing holes through the roof until the gun is empty or the noise stops.... ok well maybe this is only done in Alabama on houseboats but it would have made for a funny video all the same.

The woodland across the water from your mooring (at the end) is Wytham Wood; home to some of the longest-running ecological studies in the world and owned by the University of Oxford. That section of the Upper Thames is incredibly scenic - you're going to love it!

Foxes Afloat Icant flippin' find vlog 39!! I'm not sure why - but I've watched every one, many more than once. If memory serves, when you moved out of your house it was an emotional roller coaster, so that is probably the one. Anyway, I have help and I'm getting things done. I chucked about 3/4 of my stuff to fit into a smaller space (and I'm glad!) it's just the end stages that make me crazy.
