Начинается с того, что вы выступаете за одну из 4 команд школы чародейства и волшебства Хогвартс, где повстречаете знакомых по книгам персонажей. Позже вы примете участие в чемпионате мира, где каждая национальная сборная обладает своим стилем и тактикой. Вы сможете управлять любым из 7 игроков команды, будете забивать квоффл, отбивать бладжеры и ловить снитч.
По мере того, как вы будете выполнять различные трюки и зарабатывать очки, вы будете получать коллекционные карточки.
Особенности игры:
Вначале игрок летает за охотников (нападающих) и его задачей является передавать квоффл между ними пасами (по желанию) и забрасывать в кольца противника. Если квоффл отобран, то вы должны догнать его и отобрать назад.
Бонусы (даются за совершение комбинаций пасов):
Ускорение. Игрок совершает сильный рывок вперёд. Эффективно, если соперник пытается отобрать мяч или же впереди некому давать пас.
Бладжер. Позволяет на время вывести из строя охотника соперника и отобрать квоффл. Охотника в этот момент опекают свои загонщики, если бладжер попадёт в одного из них, то будет отбит. При удачном применении ловец противника получает штраф.
Суперудар. Игрок забивает зрелищный гол: бросает квоффл в прыжке, совершает им «волейбольную подачу» или бьёт по мячу метлой. Суперудар можно применять и для отбора мяча. При удачном применении ловец противника получает штраф.
Командный удар. Игроки, показывая отличную командную работу, забивают один или два гола (Когтевран - единственная команда, забивающая сразу три). В некоторых командных ударах участвуют не только охотники (например, близнецы Уизли или Виктор Крам). При удачном применении ловец противника получает штраф. Командные удары большинства сборных основаны на стереотипах той или иной страны:
Япония - явное использование восточных единоборств;
США - «баскетбольный» удар;
Англия - дым, появляющийся при командной атаке, красного, белого и синего цветов (цвета национального флага);
Австралия - удар в стиле «сёрфинга»;
Северная команда - за игроками тянутся ледяные следы, слепящие противника;
Испания - «танцевальный» удар;
Франция - удар в стиле «акробатики на трапеции»;
Болгария - удар, явно основанный на «финте Вронского» (опасное отвлечение ловца), упомянутом в книге «Гарри Поттер и Кубок огня»;
Германия - «футбольный» удар.
По мере увеличения числа очков и совершения комбинированных пасов или атак увеличивается длина полосок сбоку от счётчиков. Когда половины снитча сойдутся, они превратятся в снитч и управление переходит к ловцу, который может ускоряться за счёт золотистого следа снитча. По нажатию кнопки снитч оказывается схвачен, при этом внешне так не кажется.

If they were gonna do a remake something that might be fun would be to add a make your own player or team feature.
You make your team to build up how you might like it. Then grow to represent a country for the cup. Even drafting players from schools maybe. Not like it doesn't happen irl.
It can very well happen, earlier this year a game who kinda looks like quidditch came out (It was named Broomstick League) and they were forced to close the game down even though i don't think it was against a copyright, so i guess they know people still want a real quidditch experience with character creation and all.
I'm still waiting for it and I still have the hope that someday although remaster will come out. But siquel with more features will be so cool!

This game has one of the best intros of all time. Fun Fact: There were 3 more Quidditch teams planned to be in the game but were cut mid development. They were Iceland, Egypt and Transylvania. I would love to see the old Potter games come back in a remastered collection.

Eh... Some better than others lol. Like Gryffindor's is so basic and only does a single score while all the other Hogwarts teams do cool tricks and score multiple goals.

French team is OP if the user is enjoying combo passes. Their formation or idle speed allow for the next player in chain of combo to always be in position. They can get the ball from one side of stadium to another under combo invincibility and shoot it straight through the hoop without breakng the chain. They can only ever be stopped by the trap bonuce. And if rival doesn't have one - tough luck.
I was always keeping those french girls for the hardest difficulty as my star team.

Germany: Soccer and football (team special move glitch where despite playing as Germany, Germany is shooting scores for other team's hoops)
France: Trapeze
Australia: Surfboarding and volleyball
Nordic: Sledding and handball at recess
Spain: Soccer with throwing ball after the ball went out of bound and then baseball
Bulgaria: Football with assaults

Of all Hogwarts teams, Ravenclaw's special move is the best because they score 30 points when others score 20 points (except Gryffindor score only 10 point).

well, the other teams give your seeker dominance by reducing the seeker bar of the opposing team (Gryffindor does this the most) and almost guaranteeing you get 150 points from catching the snitch.

Never really realized that until now either but I was unsure if that was Krum or not.. but they didn't add in some teams like the Irish or Ron's favorite team the Chuddly Cannons (if I spelled that correct)

But I am aware that you still have a huge amount of entertainment there. Deserts, jungle and ocean. The only thing missing is the snow-capped mountains. Management can be customized for yourself in the settings. If you have an xbox 360 controller, then Transfer - A, Throw - B, Bludger - X, Trick - Y, Combo to the right - RB, Combo to the left - LB, Special move of the command - Select.

Edit the Width and Heigth to your monitor resolution.From what I could find, the game can only stretch. There is no correction ingame when playing training or a match.
So far known there is no way found of editing the field of view, or correcting the streching screen ingame.
