🎬 Loved our London adventures? Get ready for another thrilling journey in my Iceland Vlog! Let's keep the excitement going! czcams.com/video/XlfJdbKTqF4/video.html
Memo to the world : Anyone considering a London trip, do not miss this video. Absolutely brilliant. The meticulous care, effort etc you put into this is plainly evident. I didn't make it to London during my unforgettable 2008 England trip. My friend and I just hadn't included it in our plans, as we were also immersing ourselves in other amazing places such as York. One thumbs up isn't enough for vlogs like this. Yes the musical selections were an added treat ( i.e. "London Bridge is Falling Down"). Voiceover professionally done. This would surpass any travel documentary one sees on TV.
Hahah thank you! How was York?? It looks amazing! Yes I had to include London bridge is falling down 😂😂
@@BrieanaYoung Oh York is wonderful. During our weekend there we stopped by the Minster Cathedral, which is majestic..inside and out. Went to the Yorvik Viking Museum, that was fascinating. Did a pleasant little cruise on the river (while dodging some raindrops..it is the UK after all lol. but didn't spoil anything). Strolling along the historic streets (including the Shambles), between all the quaint buildings and shops...cannot go wrong. You can easily walk around and not be disappointed. We stayed at a cute B&B on the outskirts of town.
A lot of the pubs are owned by the same pub company or brewery, e.g. Greene King, Wetherspoons, Fullers, Youngs. So each pub within that company will have the same menu, but each pub will have a different name. There are still some pubs that are independently owned or part of a smaller chain.
ohhh that makes sense thanks for explaining that!! i loved the fish and chips we got when we went!
@@BrieanaYoung Sorry the frozen food served in wetherspoons isn't the best. Better going to a chippy if you want 'real' fish and chips.
We spent a week in London back in November stayed at a hotel in Trafalgar Square. We did everything touristy possible had perfect weather and loved every minute of it. I want to go back so much more to see and do I would recommend teatime on the river Thames cruise and writing the tube to Windsor Castle
Woolworths is the biggest owner of pubs in Australia so I would think British pubs would have large companies owning them as well.
Proud of you for creating this video. I know it took a lot of effort putting it together. I’m sure you’ll be able to get the next one out quicker haha 😊
No pressure!
Hahah thanks babe! ❤️ I hope so too 😅
Stunning edit of this video. My favourite city in the world. Can’t wait to go back!
Thank you! Yes your right such a cool city!!
Can see the efforte placed in the post production
. Thanks for the great video. Looks like it was an awesome day!!!!!
thanks for recognising the effort that went into it! this video honestly took longer then i was expecting! Thanks for watching 😀
I was pretty skeptikal that you'd get much seen in one day, but fair play to you guys, you really packed it in! And good choices too. Very jealous of Iceland. That's a major bucket list country for me. So far all I've seen is the airport!!
Loved the video in London & can’t wait for Iceland. Have fun for all your viewers watching your amazing 5 week European journey. Stay safe. 👍🏻🙋🏼♀️🇺🇸
Thanks so much!!
That first bite of the pudding 🥹😅😂😂😂 the realisation 😂😂
London Bridge & Clock Tower is definitely my favorite places to go to of my first trip to England 🏴
Yes great suggestions!! We loved them both!
@@BrieanaYoung I’ve always wanted to go there for a trip & both of them are in Lego form
Think you mean Tower Bridge as London bridge is a 1970's concrete road bridge.
yaaay - Ive only been checking my bell notifications multiple times a day - the music was cute and on point huh- I have london bridge is falling down in my head now
Hahah I had so fun choosing all the music! Hopefully you don’t have to wait as long for the next vlog 🤞
Hi Breanna happy Thursday afternoon and I hope you having amazing day today in your holiday trip in London and I enjoy your channel
Thank you! You too!
I love how people think it rains non stop in London. I've watched a bunch of these vlogs and they always seem genuinely surprised to see blue sky.
Thanks for a very lovely video. Your hair looks amazing by the way. Really suits you.
Aww thanks Linda! 💇♀️ Thanks for watching!
I am so excited
🎉🎉🎉
Hi. I watched this video with my daughter and we really enjoyed it. Have always been a bit skeptical to go on a hop on bus - but you really sold it!!😂
Hahah glad i sold you, it was definitely worth it!
I was so excited to watch your vlog..appreciate the time and effort you put into making it..thank you for sharing your travels with us..looking forward to the next one 😉💚Naj
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words 🤗 can’t wait for the next one!
Just watched and really thought you did a brilliant job of covering the highlights in a day. Your commentary is very pleasant, and your edits were well done. I subscribed and will check out your previous videos since I enjoyed listening to you cover what you were seeing. Safe travels!
Much appreciated!
Just found your channel and I'm obsessed 😍
Welcome to the family ❤️❤️
I am going to london in a month. This video really helped! Thank you, now i know where to go!!
Glad it was helpful! Enjoy your trip!!!
How long are you going to be in London, as I would suggest getting away from this district and going to other parts of London,
Hi, I love the way you are doing your vlog. I hope I can learn more from you as a beginner 😊
Thank you! Feel free to ask me any questions 😁
@@BrieanaYoung ❤️
Girl, where have you been? Missed you. I'm looking forward to watching this series. 👍
I’ve been editing this vlog!! Haha it’s taken me ages! Hope you enjoy it! ❤️
Glad you enjoyed London. The bus is definitely the best way to see things when you are on a short visit. The pubs may have been part of a chain and that's why the menu was the same.
Great vlog and looking forward to the next one
thank you! honestly loved London & will have to make it a longer trip next time!
yes the biggest pub chain is called wetherspoons
with the pub it might have been the brewery. over here we have different brewery's which own a lot of pubs ( breweries are basically chains) if might have been like a Greenie king which is the owners and then they call their pubs fun names to do with the local area so near me there is one called the pen and parchment as its in Stratford upon avin which is the home of Shakespeare, there is also a sub chain near me called the Cambridge which was a car built on the factory on the land the pub now stands
I really enjoyed this video 👍 I would really love to visit London one day 😀 For me, it would probably be safer going on an organised tour 🤔
you can enjoy it through my eyes haha! thanks for watching!😀
Great info❤❤
Glad it was helpful! :)
really great cinematography
Thank you so much!
Just a note Big Ben is the name of the bell within the tower. Not normally seen by tourists. Wish you had longer in London, lots of famous sites missed and of course, London is not England or the Uk. Other capital cities within the Uk have there own culture highlights ie Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast not to mention York, Cambridge or Oxford and many others.
would love to visit those places next time when we are there for more time!
I can't believe you only spent a day in London. So, so wrong! My first time going in 2008 my 1st day I ticked off a bucket list item- Hampton Court Palace. I'm a history nerd, even majored in it in uni. I literally cried at the front gate! Nerded out so hard inside. Next day went to the Tower of London and literally had a picnic right at the site of Anne Boleyn's beheading (I'd spent an ungodly amount of 'time' with her during uni studies!). I didn't care about anything else at the Tower, haha! Also went to the Museum of London (seeing a trend here?!) that had a fabulous commentary on the Great Fire & actually had one of the water canon used. Can't wait to get back to London again some time soon!
i knowwwwwww! wish we had more time! i recently learnt about the story of Anne Boleyn's beheading - so sad! haha you have all the great history recommendations right there!!
Definitely plan to visit again!
The National Art Gallery (not the Portrait Gallery next door) at Trafalgar Square is beautiful. It is Free. It is best to book a time online beforehand.
Great recommendation- thanks for sharing!! 👍👍👍
Love this !! Great video 🤩 Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Some pubs are chains, owned by the same brewery but will have different names. Generally get better food at the independent pubs which are plentiful. Glad you enjoyed your trip here. 👍🏻🏴
Oh that makes sense, thanks for the info!
I honestly find it hard to watch your vlogs sometimes because it makes me want to buy a new camera and spend all my free time learning videography and editing because your footage is INSANE. Would love a video of tips if you ever feel up to it! Was great to watch you guys explore London. I loved the bravery trying the black pudding - I'm British and I haven't even tried it lol
Hahah! I have been wanting to make a video like that for ages going through my gear, editing process & thought process. My father in law did a little interview with me where we discussed some of these things, I have since updated my vlogging camera and such but perhaps this can help in the mean time czcams.com/video/-c1HbCNzmQw/video.html
I definitely think investing in the right camera gear and education is worth it if you are after a certain look!
Hahaha black pudding wasn’t very nice! Good thing you have steered clear of it all this time haha
Really you need at least 4 days to even scratch the surface of London, but fair play to getting the main tourist sites in. Definitely get away from the central London district on your next stay. Way cooler towns and villages across zone 1-4.
Pubs: A lot of the pubs in that area are part of chain brewing companies, so you would see the same menu (s). Pubs in the suburbs and outside of London do better food and can often be 'Freeholds' which means they are better quality.
also, how was that hotel? planning to go next year. would you recommend? was there aircon?
it was good! good price for London from what i remember, great location - it was right near a tube station and it was on the east of London so lots of trendy stuff near by!
no not all pubs have same menu but you might find similar things !!!! good video !!
Thanks for the info :)
A well-put-together video showing a lot of the sites, but come on, Westminster Abbey has been hosting events since 10,066? Do you have a time machine? lol.
😂😂😂
I’m from England. and it’s not uncommon for blue skys. like it reaches 30 degrees every summer. I don’t understand why every one thinks it’s always rainy and cold here.
True I wonder why there is that misconception!! Glad to hear you get sunny days ☀️
how was the jetlag? last time i went from syd- london, i felt so sick from the jetlag for atleast 5 days!
flying west around the world always gets me more than flying east - so jet lag was honestly fine for us! although we got tired a little earlier than normal!
As a Brit (or should I say Brie-t) I am excited to watch this :)
Hahaha 😂😂 let me know what you think & if you have any recommendations for people if they are visiting!
Beautiful vlog. Where is your cat? Does he have a catsitter?
Yes Braden’s Aunty stayed at our house and looked after Mickey while we were gone :) ❤️

i got paid to attend training!
@@BrieanaYoung okay thanks so much for replying really appreciate it❤️

❤❤❤
Blue sky is not rare at all, last summer was 10 weeks unbroken sun and no rain. Why not ask the " bunch of old people "!! what was happening?
oh good to know!
Still slaggingweather.....rains twice as much in New York........never spoke of..........
Oh interesting! Thanks for sharing! Haha I think I get that stereotype because I always here people from the UK talking about the weather lol guess I just understood that wrong!
I miss London 😭

Hello.
Lovely vlog and pleased you both enjoyed visiting London ‘ my home’ .
You certainly managed to cram a lot into 24 hours.
loved london thanks for having us!
Hey ☺️x
Would have loved to have met you whilst in London 😊x
Hello! I'm a big fan of your work. I'm Anurag, a software professional, and it's a personal dream of mine to meet you one day. Your content on CZcams has been incredibly inspiring, and I look forward to the possibility of crossing paths with you in the future. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks so much hope we cross paths in the future to!
What about the brand new British dialects, accents, slang (Brummie, Cockney, Geordie, Scous, Punjabi) ? ... What about the culture shock ? Did you enhance your vocabulary ? ... By the way, your accent is more close to the American accent (just my opinion) ! 😁
Having lived overseas and travelled for tourism, I haven't found culture shock has been an issue when I've been a tourist. I have found it kicks in over time, when you're trying to assimilate into living in that different culture. Even then, it's the return to your first culture that really bites the hardest.
Very insightful Tracy!
I learnt about “rambling” haha, I did live in America for a couple years so there might be a bit of a twang in my accent because of that.
She is not letting the guy speak at all.
Braden has his own CZcams channel if you want to hear more from him 🙂
@@BrieanaYoung him having his own channel is not the point. This is not just about you but I noticed recently a lot of CZcamsrs do this to their guest/sidekick.
I like u.
thanks for watching!!
Doing a smily video next to the the Covid victim wall was quite disrespectful
I sure you know that wasn’t my intention to be disrespectful
