Kerry, your experiences on carnivore align with mine and my wife's. It is the simplest miracle we can gift ourselves. And it has been so easy for us to do. All cravings disappeared after the first three days. All arthritis disappeared after 30 days, and it had been severe. Now 11 months in and 60+ pounds lighter, I have been reborn. My free will is no longer restricted by physical limitations caused by the standard American diet.. Thanks for the great ways you and Dr. Eric Westman spread the word.

I’m a 46 yo old male…6’ 1”. I started low carb diet in 2/8/24. After 6 weeks I transitioned to strict carnivore. I was 270lbs taking BP meds, GERD meds, allergy meds to help with my chronic nasal congestion. I had knee pain walking upstairs and I would get out of breath. Although not diagnosed, my snoring and sleep patterns reported by my wife probably indicated that I had sleep apnea. I struggled with loss of focus and teetered on the edge of anxiety and depression in and out.
At around 6 weeks, my BP readings were dropping precipitously. I stopped all of my meds (after consultation with my doctor). BP remains at or below 120/70. GERD is gone. Nasal congestion is gone. Snoring is gone. Brain fog is gone and focus level is back up. I weighed 210 this morning. I still have a little to lose, but 60 lbs down in 3ish months. As a side note…over the last couple of years I had developed extreme susceptibility to the sun. I would burn in less than 15 min. I can now sit in the direct sun for hours without burning like it was when I was a kid playing outside all day.
I try not to be “preachy” about this with my people. But it is hard to sit on it as I feel, like others, that I’ve been lied to about diet throughout my life. People ask me what is the one most important thing I e learned over the last 3 months? I tell them “that almost everything we’ve been taught about diet since we were kids is wrong and we should, almost without exception, do the exact opposite”.
I hope this comment encourages others!

IKR? I was on metformin for years but my A1C kept climbing, but my error was trusting doctors to look out for me. When it hit 10.1, my PCP went crazy about I now had diabetes on and on. I had already decided to do Keto II was sort of following Dr. Berg at the time) so I wasn't worried about reversing things. Still, it took 2.5 years before I had decent blood work (A1C 5.6, later 5.2), then I had my heart attack, but that's another story.

My husband and I started on April 19th. The day after an extremely stressful doctor appointment on the 18th. I am 66, he is 72. We have been trying for a year to find help with our health issues and no help from our doctors. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with fibromyalgia and, no cartridge left in my knees, and morbid obesity. Pain all over and totally exhausted by the afternoon every single day. But my blood tests weren't bad enough to do anything about it. This is just the tip of frustration but the bottom line is we took it upon ourselves after watching Dr Ken Berry and Dr Westman to try what they were telling us. I have lost 8 lbs in a little over 3 weeks. My knees are no longer hot with inflammation and pain. My so called fibromyalgia no longer gives me pain. My sleep is so much better. I don't eat junk or crave sweets. I actually have some energy! My husband has lost about 5 lbs. No longer snacking on junk food. He is walking 2 miles daily and feeling much better! This is a new beginning that we are fortunate enough to experience.

@NiceLoki Congratulations, I started carnivore May 3 of this year and by week 2 lost 15.4 kg. I was originally 180 kg at 74 years of age. I take insulin only periodically, usually when my bs exceeds 6.3 and this may occur during the day or in the evening. I test my blood 8 times a day.
I no longer take antidepressants, I just don't need them. The pain in my left knee is finally gone, but I still need a 4 wheel walker, but am gaining quad muscle strength daily. I weigh myself once a week, that's it.
I set my time on carnivore for 100 days as an objective, but based on how I feel I will probably continue on it. I currently eat twice a day within a 6 hour period, and I am not hungry the rest of the time. I have 0 cravings and was a chocoholic and I just don't want it anymore.
I am hoping to quit taking Teva-Diltiazem for my A-fib. To avoid A-fib I drink 3.25 litres a day as dehydration was the cause of my A-fib attacks.
One thing I may not be able to stop is blood thinners that I have had to take for 36 years because of pulmonary embolism. My heritage is known for thick blood, I guess it's called warrior class blood.

Im a retired MD (military and family physician) and im FURIOUS. When i graduated and started practice in the late 1970s, we just didnt see all if this nutrition based chronic disease. It just didn't exist and very new people were obese. The very few dieticians around were employed for ICU patients in hospital. As folks started getting sick and fat, the schools of dietetics were established and the professors of nutrition stepped in and said "Dont you worry your head about this stuff, Doc. We'll take this on for you". This coincided with a massive increase in stuff i had to learn and keep up with, so it seemed sensible. What they didn't tell us was that they sold their souls to processed food makers and the Seventh Day Adventist church from day 1. Whole university departments accept massive funding from industry, the research was paid for by industry, and they are STILL doing it. Beware medical schools that are planning to introduce nutrition training because they're following orthodox, industry funded recommendations.

I have been stuck in my house and stuck in a recliner or in my bed for the last 7 years. Told there’s no cure. I’ve tried everything and spent a fortune trying to figure this thing out, trying to break free from ME/CFS prison!! My first month on carnivore things started changing drastically! I’m almost five months in now and things aren’t perfect, but I’ve been able to go shopping with a friend, plant some flowers, and do some work in my shop. All these things were impossible only months ago. I only eat beef and egg yolks and it’s giving me my life back!!! So simple. Yes, I’m angry as hell! I was told to eat lots of grains and fruit and veg. It made things so much worse!! Doctors are ill informed on nutrition and they no longer get a pass! The information is out there. DO NO HARM!

I agree 100 % to this video. I’ve been doing carnivore for 2 years and 2 months now. It started when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. And I started doing treatment November of 2021. Before that I had some health problems like IBS, dermatitis, acid reflux , brittle nails, pain on elbows, knees, feet, neck and back, eye dryness and redness where the rheumatologist told me I will be blind. I was seen by 5 medical experts here in Houston and no one was able to help me heal my condition. In fact it gets worse. And those prescribed medications have been given me a lot of side effects. I was desperate and depressed thinking this will be the end for me. Until I bump on this carnivore diet from Dr. Baker. At first I was hesitant to do it because I’m a nurse. Knowing that it would not be healthy as we are taught in medical schools about red meat. Specially that I worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center chemotherapy department. But I started doing it because I don’t have any options. My symptoms got worse that I kept getting a medical leave at work. After 3 weeks of pure carnivore I felt a big improvement with my health issues. And after 3 months of being carnivore all the symptoms I mentioned above are all gone. Meat heals and I’m one of the proof that it works. The last time my rheumatologist and my PCP checked me they are amazed that I am very healthy. And told me to continue doing my research and new carnivore lifestyle.

It wasn't until I started testing my glucose after all my meals and cut my carb intake down to near zero that I was finally able to lose weight & stopped being hungry all the time. I have lost 85lbs so far. I read every label for ingredients and I only eat lowest carb veggies & no fruit. Since I started carnivore 2 years ago I’ve:
    Lost 160 pounds
    Stopped taking insulin and metformin
    Improved all bloodwork dramatically
    Reversed non alc fatty liver
    Eliminated gerd
    Cured psoriasis
    And so much more.
I’ve also been able to become very active, taking both power lifting and functional fitness classes.
I’m not perfect. I get too relaxed with the diet sometimes, but I stay strict 90% of the time.
I’m going to live a lot longer than I was going to just 2 years ago. Crazy thing is, instead of doing what the doctors wanted, surgery, insulin, and a 100 gram of carb a day diet, I ate meat…….

Almost 3 years carnivore now. I don't miss having high blood pressure, low testosterone, having to take multiple medications for years, having type 2 diabetes, having non alcoholic fatty liver. I don't miss any of that at all. I don't miss being in so much pain from arthritis that I couldn't get out of bed for days at a time. I don't miss the hemorrhoids from hard stools, and IBS from all the fiber I was told to eat. I don't miss the night sweats, and the sleep apnea. I don't miss the erectile disfunction. I don't miss the 150 pounds that I lost inside of the first year. I don't miss all the plaque buildup on my teeth. I don't miss all the ear wax, I don't miss being photo sensitive and burning from being exposed to the sun. ( I haven't needed sunscreen for almost 2.5 years now.) I don't miss feeling like I was dying............................................. "I do miss" all the years I spent sick and dying a slow death from all the highly processed, hyper palatable foods that I was indoctrinated into eating since childhood. I don't take any meds now, and my bloodwork has never been better.

Love the message delivered by the gentleman from Homestead How in this video. He's spot on. I've been on carnivore now for 15 weeks. No more stomach pain/digestive issues or constipation. My arthritis has improved. I sleep better. I'm off all diabetes meds - no more insulin, metformin or gabapentin. My feet and leg neuropathy is just about gone. My mental clarity is better. I will never go back to the standard American diet including processed foods. I've also learned about plant lectins and oxalates all of which are toxic to the human body. As much as I loved the flavor of vegetables, I don't need the problems of these toxins or the fiber which the body can't break down which leads to constipation.

I was still tired with intractable anxiety and heart palpitations...had a repeat sleep study. AHI was UNCHANGED from before carnivore. If I stop using it for even a few days, I get severe anxiety, palpitations, fatigue. The only way to be sure you don't need the CPAP any more is by repeating the sleep study. It's too important! I get upset knowing that I suffered through 10 horrible years of Ulcerative Colitis and did so much damage to my colon and rectum that they had to be permanently removed. I see people like Nick Norwitz who was able to reverse his UC with a no carb diet. And I feel sad for those people that have been convinced that the way to stop the inflammation caused by eating carbs is to take an immunosuppressant drug. Why would you ever want to dumb down your immune system. The answer is to not start the inflammation fire in the first place. Don't eat carbs and your body will not have to take drastic measures to protect itself from that poison. I want to scream from the roof tops when I see doctors promote vegan and low fat diets especially when it comes to children. Children need to eat fish, eggs, and red meat to be healthy! The other think that gets under my skin is when they say you can get what you need from a plant based diet. I am sorry but I have a unique perspective on this as someone with an ileostomy. If you eat a cup of black beans your body will metabolize a small fraction of that mass. I would guess from experience only about 20%. So whatever you see on the label for instance 10 grams of protein. I can tell you that you only absorbed 2 grams of that protein. When you eat a cup of red meat I can tell you from experience you will absorb 90% of that protein. Humans do not have the ability to ferment and absorb plant protein like the animals we were designed to eat do. The American Medical system has been hijacked by the pharmaceutical and food industries. We need to blow it up and start over.

My husband and I started the Carnivore Diet on May 19th, 2023.
    Starting weight was 166.5.
Side note: I was a Vegetarian for over 10 years.
    I was Malnourished.
I had IBS for over 25 years.
Always constipated, bloated, and gassy. With VERY PAINFUL BM’s.
After about a month on Carnivore, I was more regular than I have ever been in my entire life. It’s funny, I used to get a craving for steak.
    But I didn’t listen. So, now I DO 😊
    I’ve gotten down to 141.2. (I’m 5’7”)
I can tell now, that my body is absorbing all the correct nutrition it needs, from eating “the Carnivore WAY”. 💯%‼️
I’ve lost half of my “wings”, without any exercising.
3 inches off my waist and 3 off my hips.
It is healing a cyst that I have had for about 20 years, shrinking it to almost nothing.
My husband has received great results too. A Type 2 Diabetic, his glucose levels are much lower, he has lost over 15 lbs, down to 150 lbs. His anxiety is all but gone. Neuropathy has lessen too.
He tells me almost daily how grateful he is that I suggested the Carnivore Way to him.
    We are 62, and 65.
Neither of us are on ANY Prescription drugs, and have not been in over 30 years.
The other find is eating Carnivore is LESS EXPENSIVE THAN EATING VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN 💯‼️

I only heard of the carnivore diet recently, so I've been looking into it.
I met a man this morning on a dog walk, we started talking, and he told me that he's been doing a carnivore diet, and it cured his arthritis and osteoporosis. I asked him what he and his wife eats, and he told me.
I'm a herbalist, and that led me here via the long route. I learned about all sorts of active ingredients in plants - and more relevant to this topic - I learned about plant defences. No plant wants to be eaten, they all have a defensive mechanism. Usually poison, and yet many are beneficial (aspirin is synthetically made now, but it originally came from willowbark and meadowsweet flowers).
The deviation is fruit, which is produced by nature to be consumed.
The conclusion I've drawn thus far, is that plants are medicine and animals are food (which is itself a medicine).

I can testify to the healing power of a proper human diet with keto since 2018 and carnivore since 2022. Meat heals! I 100% agree with Kerry that we have been lied to by doctors for so long. Thank you Dr. Westman for swimming against the tide. You are both truly inspirational for all of humanity. God bless you.

6:00 pm. This sounds like my story. With very low carb/carnivore, my ulcerative colitis is completely in remission. I no longer take BP meds. I have lost 50 lbs. My husband has lost 60 lbs and is off diabetic meds and BP meds. We were both addicted to sugar and junk food - no question about it. I am looking forward to getting rid of my arthritis. My husband got rid of his CPAP machine. Great video!! Thank you!

Mind if I ask... we're you on medication for UC? If so... we're you able to stop taking them? Thank you..

Thank you Dr Westman for doing this. I have been following Kerry for so long and this video of his is so powerful but to have you then review it so positively as a doctor gives it even more weight as being the truth. I really appreciate all of the work that you do. I have been through paleo, low carb, keto and finally landed on carnivore to solve all of my health issues and it was the only way then that I finally kicked all of my addictions to food and alcohol. Once you remove all the carbs it is like the body does a complete reset. Take care and keep up your amazing work, the world needs you.

Kerry is such a great example of a clear mind on Carnivore. How many of us had brain fog and now have had that pollution clear?

I started by cooking all my food over a year ago. Then eliminating carbs. I am at the point that only use a few things like olives and onions when cooking seafood. Mostly red meat, eggs, bacon butter and salt. Have lost 50 pounds, improved my sleep, T2D under control, blood pressure under control, remarkable improvement in my skin no crack heels, have so much energy that I am doing so much things my self. Exercising and biking and today I went to the gym for the first time in a year. Stopped taking diabetes medication, blood pressure medication, statin, don’t take decongestants any more and there is much more. My cholesterol went up but my triglycerides down. The downside is that the medical practitioner is not happy and prescribed a higher dosage and more aggressive medication to reduce cholesterol. At this point I am in the market for a new doctor.

It's funny how doctors can see all the measurable and patient disclosed health benefits and then go nuts over cholesterol.
At not one point does it seem to cross their minds that maybe, just maybe they might be wrong on ONE biomarker. Nope, they know everything there is to know... 😂

Most people change when it's to late. Then find avenues to blame everyone else but themselves( Contracts) . There is no one to blame. We can be slaves to our own desires. But instead alot of people of the world dont want to change for many reasons none of them good. Make the change or don't. Everything in life is a choice and an offer. Thank you Dr Westman.

New angle ... I began cnvr 71 days ago and didn't buy plant or dog food either and my dog is so incredibly healthy just eating my leftover meat, nothing else. She's beefed up, really strong and noticeably healthier. 👍 So am I.

I spent years on regular diet such as Weight Watchers. Those diet don’t work because they require too strict of compliance and take too long. With Keto and carnivore and I have lost one hundred pounds. I feel much better. My blood pressure is down. I wish I had this information sooner. 😅

I found the carnivore diet in February and with the first two days began to feel better. I am 83 and by eating the proper human diet I have solved 21 health issues. By day two my IBS STOPPED. Each month I feel better no more brain fog thinking is clearer balance, confidence, no more neck pain and I have lost 18 pounds. I have more energy and feel years younger. I will never go back to what they call a normal diet only to become I’ll again. If people would only try it for 30 days to see how much they have given up for unhealthy foods. I am on no medication. I also go to the Y and walk 6 miles a week on the treadmill. This is life after retirement.

I've been on keto for a while now...its transformative..I dont doubt that people are seeing amazing results with carnivore..the only thing that is not being addressed is the fact that not everyone can stomach eating meat..i literally cannot eat it...i do eat pastured eggs and pastured dairy and berries ..and i force myself to eat sardines...i do try and eat pastured eggs and dairy in the hope that it is more cruelty free..i have discovered that i have pretty much lost my appetite for plants..my point being that some people do have an aversion to eating meat based on ethical reasons...and it would be great to hear a video on how to manage a keto diet without meat...Dr Westman, I have followed you for some time now..I not only value your extensive knowledge, but your low key simple way of presenting the information is so welcoming appreciated..lastly, I admire the fact that you continue to stay connected to patients with an active practice.Heartfelt gratitude for all that you do!ps I attended UNC many years ago, but I wont hold the Duke connection against you!

Great video I’m approaching my one year mark as well, 30 pounds down and feeling so healthy. I use the word carnivore loosely as I do still drink my coffee and have occasional keto friendly carbs. I am 59 and 20 years younger than I was one year ago, I am setting personal best performance records in certain exercises. Thank you Dr. Westman for all of your good work.
