They managed to have a shape cause they played 5 at the back rather than trying to fit 4 attackers in the team on 4-2-4, simple. The biggest problem is a totally unbalanced squad that is impossible to keep everyone happy. Sancho,,Martial, lingard, donny…now if we want to win we got to sacrifice either rashford or Greenwood now too

This 3,5,2 or 5,3,2 allows VDB in one of the middle positions, also allows Greenwood and Rashford to interchange with Cavani and Ronaldo. The biggest issue is getting Sancho in the team but it at least allows us to be successful in the short term whilst Sancho gets more acclimatised to the PL. To pretend that counter attacking is not in our DNA is to forget one of the greatest FA CUP goals ever scored by Giggsy in 99. Until we get a solid CDM this is our way forward.

    Speaking only facts:
Old got the tactics right! No player underperformed today. Ronaldo Man of the Match, Rashford is currently the most efficient player and world class, Varane brings calmness to the back 4, Wan Bissaka had one of his better games, Cavani made a difference, Bruno actually played like a 10 instead of a second striker today and all of that might have been because Spurs was really poor.
