    Hi mate, what would you recommend for someone who’s had Microdiscectomy on l4/l5 and has reherniated the disc post surgery. Not keen on surgery again, but definitely keen on changing my lifestyle to help manage my injury.

    Hello bedbuyer. We currently have a sleep Republic king matress going on 7 weeks.
    We prefer it to the sleeping duck which moved around a little too much.
    The sleep Republic is more grounded and even thou it is firm, it's more comfortable.
    However I am feeling it might be just a little too firm - I am 110kg and side sleeper.
    Is there a similar matress that is just a little softer?
    Thanks

      Hi Shane,
      Thanks for the background information.
      Our best recommendation for you (that is slightly softer than the Sleep Republic) would be the Dusk&Dawn Premiere (Medium). It is very comfortable and should suit you nicely as a side sleeper.

      Hi Brad, if you think you will use the customisation feature of the Sleeping Duck Mattress, then that may be the better option. Otherwise, the Sleep Republic is a better overall buy :)

    Hi, I was looking at buying the sleep Republic mattress. I often wake up with neck stiffness and headaches (I've tried many different pillow configurations with no success) and am a side/back sleeper. My current mattress maybe 7+ years old and is definitely on the softer end which I think is the reason for my issues. I find I have a lot more headaches and stiffness when sleeping on my side, I think the very soft mattress could be the reason. Would you reccommend this mattress based on the above?

    • @BedbuyerAus

      Hi there, yes the Sleep Republic Mattress sounds like it would be a very sensible option for you situation. It has a lovely medium-firm feel so it is nicely balanced with comfort and support.

      @BedbuyerAus  Před 3 lety

      Hi Sin,
      The Sleep Republic Mattress and Ergoflex Mattress are quite different. We would recommend having a read of our full reviews (both include a video review) on bedbuyer.com.au We rated the Sleep Republic Mattress better overall, but we always acknowledge that mattress selection will come down to personal preferences.
      Hope that helps but would love to hear how you go!

      @BedbuyerAus  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for your kind words!
      We would allow 24 hours (of decompression time) before you sleep on a mattress in a box, but realistically, it should be fine to sleep on after a few hours. This will depend though on the product and type of mattress (e.g. innersprings, foam).

      Hi Nicky,

    Hi Jon, can you please recommend a bed for a 100kg male? I'll be the only one sleeping on it. I'm after a queen size. I prefer something with 100% latex or at least a layer of 100% latex. I usually sleep on my back but sometimes on my side. I looked at the Peacelily but after reading some bad reviews about sagging (even for a latex mattress), I'm very concerned. Additionally, the current wait time of the product to arrive is 8-12wks and bad reviews are also mentioned regarding this. It leaves me suspicious why their 100% latex mattresses are the cheapest in the market. I need something firm to support my weight. How does the Sleep Republic mattress perform for heavier people?

    • @BedbuyerAus
      @BedbuyerAus  Před 2 lety

      Hi Architeuthis Dux,
      We do rate the Peacelily Mattress well, but as you said, there is currently a 9-10 week wait (queen size) so that will likely be a deterrent for most.
      The Sleep Republic Mattress should be able to accommodate your weight easily. Another mattress worth considering (although it is in a different price category) is the Cloud 9 Posture Gel. It is Australian made and has a market leading spring system. You can read our full review here: bedbuyer.com.au/cloud-9-posture-gel/
