    I've recently slept in both the Emma and Sleeping Duck. Unfortunately for me, the Emma is mine. I could not believe the difference. 9 spinal surgeries and a pain stimulator implant hasn't fixed me, but even one night on the Sleeping Duck and I felt amazing. Next night back to Emma and same yucky all day pain. Back to the Duck and every night slept well and woke feeling great pain wise.

      @@kitkat0768 Yes I’ve had it a year now. Only problem I’ve had is I sleep more soundly so then I wake up in a lot of pain because I’ve been in the same position for too long! I realized just how much I used to toss and turn all night! Smell definitely bothered me but did disappear after about a week I think! Hard to remember. I would say if you can keep in open but bare for a night in a well ventilated room that’s supposed to really help with the smell. I made the bed a few hours after getting it so it trapped the scent in a bit! Good luck! Pain is a terrible thing!

    Hi
    Looking at a new mattress I’ve narrowed my preferences down to this one, Emma mattress and the Sleep Republic
    Still unsure which one to go they all seem good
    I usually tend to roll around in bed to get comfortable but normally a side and back sleeper any suggestions on which one would be better for me because I have no idea

      Hi there,
      Thanks for the background information.
      Firstly, the correct pillow should help with your numbness and shoulder pain as well. The Bamboo Contour Pillow is a nice one, our review is linked here: bedbuyer.com.au/chiropedic-pressure-relief-bamboo-contour-pillow/
      In terms of a mattress, the Dusk&Dawn Essential Mattress (Medium) would be our best recommendation for you. It comes with a free 'firmness adjustment' if you need it and is nicely balanced with comfort and support. Our full review is linked here: bedbuyer.com.au/dusk-and-dawn-essential/

    • @BedbuyerAus
      @BedbuyerAus  Před rokem

      Hi Bridget,
      Not necessarily. Although a higher spring count can relate to quality, durability, and reduced partner disturbance, we wouldn't rely on spring count alone to judge the quality or suitability of a mattress.

I have sciatica ( I m one of the fortunate ones to have in both legs) and disc bulge. Also neck and shoulder pain that radiates all the way to both hands! Hi Megha,
      Totally understand that lockdowns have made mattress shopping more difficult.
      Most online mattresses (including Sleeping Duck) have a trial period where you can return it for a full refund in the chance you aren't satisfied.

    Really good review mate! I'm thinking between SD, and now the Sleep Republic after reading your review on that one. Looks really good! .... It's hard to choose though, are so many mattress out there.
    Blunt question, but are any of your reviews paid promos? It's hard to separate the real reviews and the paid promos (looking at you Koala!).
    Overall would you (or anyone reading this) recommend the Sleep republic or Sleeping Duck?
    My partner is more of a stomach sleeper, and I'm a bit of a combination sleeper with back and side being preference.
    Again fantastic review - I have been watching so many of your videos on my mattress hunt!

      @BedbuyerAus  Před 3 lety +7

      Hi there,
      Thanks for watching and we appreciate the kind words!
      All of our reviews are 100% independent - we certainly do not receive any money for conducting our mattress reviews. It's hugely important to us that we provide honest and genuine reviews to assist Australian consumers. You can read more details in our disclosure statement on our website :)
      If you're deciding between Sleeping Duck and Sleep Republic, it comes down to whether or not you think you will utilise Sleeping Duck's customisation option (as shown in the video review above). Considering that you and your partner have different sleeping preferences, it may be something to think about. So if you think that you will utilise this feature, the Sleeping Duck Mattress would be the way to go. If not, the Sleep Republic Mattress is a beauty.
      Hope that helps but please let us know how you go!

      Hi @lockl9255,
      The adjustable foam layers fit together very tightly. So, we didn't notice any sagging issues in the middle on the initial set up (or even after 12 months). Sleeping Duck has designed the foam inserts and cover well so that everything lines up nicely.
