Important heads-up: Turning the PSU around the way that I did in this video was _NOT_ a good idea... like at all. Please don't do this. Your power supply will run extremely loud and heat-soak much faster than anticipated. Sorry for the confusion! 😅
No worries. I saw the same thing lol
Hi Greg. Having the aio fans as intakes fights the gpu fans and raises gpu temps significantly.
I've got to say I'm pretty jealous of the graphics card you put in the build I can't get my hands of one in the UK not even a 1660ti price is abit ridiculous I've just build my 1pc running a ryzen 5 3600 with a mpg b550 gaming edge motherboard corsair vengeance Pro 16 gb 3600 just waiting for a graphic card to come in stock
@@ryanrice2795 After some testing a few days later (once I realized the PSU was running hot) GPU temps rose by 4 degrees with the intake config, but CPU temps dropped by a couple of degrees once the loop was fully saturated. Not a huge swing in either direction. The two are pulling in air from different locations. I also removed the filters at the rear for better exhaust flow.
@@GregSalazar you ever do any ram overclocking videos?
You’ve quickly became one of my favorite tech channels. Just recently found your videos and subscribed. Good work!
I appreciate it!
same here!
Same
Same!!!!
Sameeee
We love your videos! I know I've said it before but thanks for inspiring me to start makng them myself!!! ❤💯
Wow, I appreciate it!
The thing i love the most about his videos is he doesnt bs around things. Everything is very straight forward and i never get to the point where i get bored. Whether its the pcdc playlist or the fix it vods they are always entertaining and enjoyable. There are many tech channels on CZcams and from the ones ive watched from this channel is the best.
I appreciate this! I try to keep these videos fast-paced because I know there's a lot out there that you COULD be watching instead!
Love your videos, a smile appears on my face when I get a notification from you! ❤
Wow, I really appreciate that! Thanks for the support.
I've been building PCs (and flipping) for a while. I've built probably in 100s of cases from mATX to ATX, but never did an ITX build. Last night, I tried one for my living room and it's a nightmare. I had no idea having this little space and cable management was possibly, even with a tiny SFX PSU.
Haha yeah it's a special experience. My first build was a ITX to with the Corsair 250D.
Greg, what can we do to talk you into doing a few more build videos? You put them together so well and they are very informal and satisfying to watch. A true professional!
I have Been building pc's since 1998. Im addicted to your channel. Keep up the good work. It's always nice to see someone helping others.
Looks like dremmel time to me. You can find grommets or make your own with weather stripping. Nice PC Though. I would certainly put it to use in the living room myself!!!
I just recently found your channel a few days ago and have watched almost everything, one of my favorite channels now. I need more!
I've been watching your videos a lot. while I myself can't really think about building a PC anytime soon thanks to money problems, I like to use these videos to kind of educate myself on the process for when I eventually do make my own pc down the line. So I'd like to say thanks for that
One quick pro-tip re: the front panel power button on this case:
I noticed that the power button would 'stick' and get stuck in the groove of the panel. I fixed this by loosening the screws on the IO panel itself, somewhat slightly. No more sticky power button!
Highly recommended video or tutorial for those who want to build their first pc, explained it so well, fully detail. Of course, love your content, goob job well done
Watched this with the hope to see what temps you got in this build but it was left out.
Its such a nice feeling watching beatiful builds from this guy and so satisfing, while having intel core2duo :(
Greg is the type of guy that you would want as a neighbor ❤️
I already built my pc in this case last week! Loving it! Temps are a bit high but I’m loving it!
I did a build too and was curious about what temps people are getting in theirs.
Dude I am new to your vids but addicted it made me press the subscribe button including notifications
Hi Greg, enjoyer of the content here. Will you do setup show off in the future of this community,
I kindda want to see that kind of content in the future. Thanks for all of your content bro.
great video. i have been contemplating getting this case, and i think i am sold! thanks Greg!!!
Love all your content and wish I could have a powerful build like that one day and keep up the work you help me thru my depression
i hope there is a benchmark for this build on the next episode. ♥
Yeah I was curious what temps you would get in this case
The price is fine (if shipping is included). I say that because I have the Meshlicious, and they didn't have the 4.0 version when I was purchasing. So I bought one of my own for the build. So That's an added cost. This case needs no riser, and is still small. So the price is low enough.
Honestly dude one of your best builds! Very awesome.
I randomly came across your channel and I'm happy you did!! You're awesome!
man that one looks so good
Hello from the UK. Greg. I just built my first ITX gaming PC for my living room. My system is built on a budget for now and with parts i already have. Silverstone Sugo SG14B, Asus Strix B360-I Gaming WiFi, Core I7 9700K, Corsair VP RGB 3000MHz 16GB, a 1TB Crucial P2, Corsair SFF 750W Platinum. Because i believe you shouldn't skip on a quality PSU! I also have my Zotac 1080 TI Mini in there. A Noctua NH-U12A cooler. I have one rear exhaust fan, and 3 cooling intake fans. One Noctua fan on the cooler for now.
If i have Turbo boost enabled and speedstep, my temps are around 34-35Celsius idle. At the moment i have Turbo boost disabled so my system is running switching frequencies from 3.6GHz down to 800MHz. At this setting, my 9700K is running 28, 27 Celsius. In my setup my PSU fan is positioned the opposite direction from the GPU, the top fan is a slim 120mm Silverstone intake, the rear fan is a Coolermaster MF140R, One of the side cooling fans where the AIO can be fit is another Silverstone slim 120 fan, and Coolermaster MF120R.
I had to use a slim fan on the rear side and top because the Noctua NH-U12 Cooler is a bit too close the the side radiator fan mount and a little too tall. But you can fit slim fans there instead. I would love it if you could do a build in the Sugo14. I also wish Silverstone would have modded the top fan to be a 140mm option, because if you use an AIO cooler, you could easily fit a 140mm in the top. I'm sure someone will have modded the top fan bracket somewhere. Anyways. Just wanted to share my build with you. Do you think 34-35C idle is ok for a small ITX such as mine with a 9700K boosting from 3.6GHz - 4.6-4.9GHz ?
One thing I would do is to make the radiator fans to pull out since the dust will be accumulated in between the fans and radiator. Otherwise they need to be detached for cleaning later. Since 2 1225 fans are the stronger pull in this case, with the video card to pull in should be a nice one way air throw from in to out. An efficient air throw should help to reduce heat and some fan noice.
ITX builds can just be so good because U don't have to worry much about the look of it, especially if there is no window on it.
Awesome build! I'm looking forward to doing an itx build sometime soon!
Uh, years watching your videos and just realized of the Ember vynil signed, so cool!
I would allways have the aio fans blowing from the inside out.......... and have the radiator with the tubes on the top side....
So the SSD 2.5 are supposed to face inward towards that one cut out for easier cable management with grommets. I would agree if they had it come around the back instead of up through the case but with the mounting for the SSDs they did the best they could
Great build!
What an AWESOME setup!!! What I wouldn't give??!!!!! Lol! All your builds are sick though!!! Keep up the great content Greg!!!
Hahah thanks for watching, Chris!
I don't think it's a steal even at $90. It doesn't include any fans, it's made of steel, the problems your seeing with the eps cable. GN had an issue where they couldn't populate both 80mm fan slots above the GPU at the same time, and it's hard to find decent 80mm SLIM fans. Maybe if they included the two 80mm fans (and they fit at the same time) for $90?
In my experience "hardly reaches" is the better option for ITX cables compared to "has excess 15cm you have to bend 3 times in a fat roll and fit somewhere".
Don't get overly obsessed with cable management. Human body doesn't look pretty on the inside either. But it works, right? Serves a purpose! Engineered vs. imagined.
Regarding airflows (PSU) - consider heat like a virus. Contagious. Keep all hot parts with as separate (and fresh) airflows as possible in any case.
Also Platinum+ PSUs. You increase efficiency by like 3% (90+3 production). But cut the heat amount in PSU by 30% (10-3 waste)! See the point?
Sweet looking build nice work Greg 👍🙂
Thanks for watching 😁
greg you forgot to mention the free carrying handle and pop-out headset hook.
Just built in this on Monday and am very impressed. The water cooler placement is kind of silly because of the proximity to the cpu cooler itself. I personally used the EKWB 240mm aio and the tubes are questionable inside this case but regardless I am enjoying it more than the SSUPD Meshlicious. Now I need to sell my 2 Meshlicious cases.
Note: this case are virtually the same dimensions to the Meshlicious but maybe 1” taller.
Only critique is that you should use a negative pressure setup with the AIO (fans with grille or fans between the case and rad). This will help the GPU the most by helping to pull fresh air from outside the case.
the case looks good
Im deploying to europe soon, so i think getting a new gaming rig altogether to replace my current Phanteks p300a setup is prob a better bet than tryna take my current setup with me.
Everyone is building this case. Nice.
Amazon has this case with the 700watt gold ratedpower supply for 130$.
Absolutely love this build! Looks great
I'm thinking of ditching my O11 XL and going into this!
You forgot to mention that it has headset hangers on both sides at the top, yes the little things that looks like buttons pop out.
“Wow, this is such a tight fit”
😁
to day my birthday :) and love ur videos keep it up
It's nice.
I'd still go for the NZXT H1 though. I'm a sucker for aesthetics.
The h1 definitely has some fire looks 🔥🔥🔥
Nice build Greg!
Just picked this up at 180$ for the psu included version. I think that’s a solid price for it and I’m excited to build in it
Darkflash DLH21 has the best implementation for this type of case
Good PC Gaming build
But you didn't watch it yet?
A big part of that price has to be that pelican case. Those things can be 100 bucks themselves.
So would it be better now to have the AIO as exhaust with the fans setup how you have them on the outside?
How much did you spend overall on the build?
Looking forward to the Lian Li Q58 case review.
Good review Greg...thanks
$850 pc! let's go!
specks: risen 5 1st gen cpu, 16gb ram, rtx 3060 ti
oh yah and an aio!
btw, I JUST ugraded to this
how are u gonna plug the hdmi or desplayport on the GPU cause i dont think u can
Itx case + aio = nightmare
do your own cut out, just do it empty and make sure you clean the case
MIssing the most important demo of these vertical ITX cases; how do you connect the peripherals. It's great if you know it already, but for ppl like myself 1st time considering this as an alternative to the traditional ITX/microATX...I gotta go to another video...
You can see very clearly from several clips in this video how peripherals are connected...
Excellent video and I agree about the price.
Sadly, this build has slightly more power than my latest new PC build. Nice job on this build, Greg! It's very nice.
awesome vid greg that case is so cool ibuypower gave one away on their minecraft server for intel gamer days in a treasure hunt, sadly i couldnt join that cause u were required to stream that event but its still a really dope case
Perfect video
Looks very nice build, only issue I have with this build is that it's way too small for my liking. But for those that want these micro computers it's very eye appealing.
Someday if I can afford it. I will build an itx gaming PC so I can take it anywhere.
Same!
I dont really know what itx means but I love how this case looks, kinda wish there was some more talk about airflow/temps... maybe next video? Maybe also add to the next video different possible airflow configurations? ^^
It's an extremely small form factor. You need a tiny boards (barely bigger than a grown man's hand), small PSUs (SFX or SFX-L) as well as other space saving components.
didnt even mention the dual retractable headset holders
I was wondering if you reversed the orientation of the AIO Rad so the pump hoses were at the top of the rad instead of the bottom would you get better efficiency out of your AIO?
Yes, the hoses being at the top of the rad are better because if there’s air build up, the air will stay at the top of the rad and not end up in the pump, it affects longevity, not efficiency though
That Case is Quite Interesting : )
Hi Greg. Mat I suggest that you don't have OCD, but rather CDO. It's very similar to OCD, but the letters are alphabetical *as they should be.* I too have this "affliction." My girlfriend even bought me a t-shirt that makes sure the world understands this about me. 🤣 Keep up the good work!
I have a weakness for itx case handles, I have a lian li 150tu for exactly that reason for a air cooled build for my home theater
This case is definitely better than my 32 dollar aerocool case
i heard there is space for a 80 mm fan on top of the graphic card to see it u need to remove the panel on top
I would use an Injen cold air intake instead of using the dust filters. Oh yeah, and a MagnaFlow stainless exhaust. 😄
BENCHMARK! BENCHMARK! BENCHMARK!
I want to get this case but I don’t want it to be shipped in that massive case cause I got issues with storage.
All my PCs, since I've started building them, are ITX. I'm willing to put up with premium prices for more features and variety. Mobo variety is especially limited unfortunately.
What is a different video card to buy? Yours is no longer available via your link?
What is the fan? It’s so beautiful
Would that case not be quite noisy? (being full of holes)
if you put lots of loud fans then yes
What I don't like about this case is that the front panel IO is at the bottom. That's awkward to bend down if you are building a media PC for your living room. Might be nicer for a desk top placed, but I value space on my desk for more monitors more.
A lot of mITX users, including myself, are interested in SFF PCs solely so it doesn't have to sit on the floor. For anyone using this on their desk, the bottom buttons are preferred.
Is it only me that would leave the panel where gpu is open because it looks sooo nice.
I wanted the Fractal Terra in black but finding one that isnt $100 over MSRP is kinda hard right now. I think I'm gonna get this one. This would be for my 2nd PC and it would fit my 12600k+4070 perfectly.
Bitwit did a build in this case as well if you want to see another vid on this case
I love your video dude love from india 🇮🇳 i can't afford gaming pc in my life but when i see your videos i feel i have one ☝ 😌😂😂😂
I really like the idea of the mesh on the case, I just don't really like how thick they made the bars. Part of me wishes they went for more of a fine mesh, but then that would take away from its unique look. I also don't like how the square holes aren't uniform sized on the different sides.
Not bad video overall
But please show me where you can find a 700w sfx 80+ gold psu for $100?
I can find two on newegg
$269 gold (silverstone ) and a $175 clearanced silverstone 80+ plat
Looks cool, but I have something to say that aio plus the case gotta be good, cause 5800x likes to go hot alot 😅
Ok this looks pretty cool for a ITX case. Does it come in black? Would be perfect for a new Retro Arcade/HT PC build i want to do.
Im concerned about the io ports like ethrnet and usb ports?
Hey bro I live in Jamaica how can I get one of PC to buy
i feel like this is linus tech tips long lost brother
I recently upgrade my build with a new Motherboard, CPU and SSD. I bought the WD sn850 without the headsink. The ASUS TUF gaming Z590 has heat shields for the SSD. Do the heat shilds work in dissipating heat? Or should i have bought the ssd with the heat sink. Sure the heat sink looks better, but will the heat shield suffice and get the job done?
I don't know if it's weird (coz i'm a straight guy) but you're looking quite nice today!
